I’ve been coming there since I was a lil girl the food was the great from the wings to the kentucky derby pie. But after they new owner took over the food isn’t the same. I spotted a few employees buying items from the nearby Publix. Seriously what’s the hell is going on y’all close 2 hours early every day I’m won’t be surprised when this place shuts down by the health department.

I’ve been coming here for I would say 20 yrs. while the interior is anything but elegant the food is the reason to come here… however, the last visit was disappointing. The interior is the same but the food taste different. Not the quality I’m used to. What happened?. Wing sauces are watery with less flavor. Service was not the best. Alcohol Items on the menu weren’t available. Something happened here. I can only surmise the ownership changed. Definitely not as good. Not someplace I would go where it takes me 35 – 45 minutes from Plantation. Sorry… You lost a customer.

Even with relatively new owners, they are still kicking out good wings and a very rich, meaty chili with onions & cheese. Husband’s hot raspberry wings came with lots of sauce. My lemon garlic butter(medium) were also very good. We usually request all flats, our preference. Only 4 small pieces of celery in total with blue cheese for both of us but minor quibble. Service was good. Kitchen a bit slow but not a real problem. Will definitely come back when in a wing mood…

I don’t know what’s going on at this place. They close 2 hours early every night. Not sure if the owner knows what’s going on. But turning away a party of 10 at 8:30 is crazy! This message is addressed to the OWNER! Step up your management before this gem closes down forever! Missed out on a great tip and new business.

Raspberry and lemon pepper wings are unreal. This is my favorite wing spot in south Florida. Do miss the old owner… he was the man!

Greasy place for casual weekday lunch. Love the Chicken and shrimp Stir Fry which is served only on certain days. Jerk chicken served here is very good and wings are served with good sauce selection. They don’t have much choices for veterinarians though.

Great lunch spot. The ribs were fantastic, I was looking for smoked bbq which this doesn’t try to be but for a quick lunch if you want some grilled ribs or chicken I couldn’t ask for anything else. Be sure to try the Louisiana rice and beans, it was a great recommendation from the server. Food hit the spot, new owner was awesome, personal and exactly what a new and ambitious restaurant owner should be.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but recently it was taken over by new people and it’s really been bad. The old staff isn’t there anymore. None of the waitresses that made you feel like family are there. They hired a bunch of kids, who don’t know what they’re doing. Food taste different and they just don’t care. Last night I had a pick up order, and when I got home the order was incorrect so I had to go back. On the counter waiting for me was the part of my missing order. Even though they had my telephone number, because they wanted to close early, they didn’t bother to call me. It wasn’t even done correctly or the way they used to do it. It tasted disgusting and this will be the last time that we will visit this restaurant. It’s sad to see old landmark like this become a thing of the past.

Great place for a casual, delicious, homestyle lunch or dinner. Portions are generous and service is friendly. I had the fried catfish with rice and beans and greens while my husband had the lemon garlic butter wings. Both hit the spot. My husband had come here as a child as was returning after 25 years. Was a great experience for me and he said those wings were just as delicious as he’d remembered.

What happened to this place? Ever since they changed owners a few years back, when the dark haired guy was still a partial owner, this place has gone down hill dramatically. My family and I would go here when they had the Coral Springs location on Univ 15 years ago. We would still make the 30 minute trek to the«not so great» part of town and still didn’t mind paying what others thought was was too expensive. As some of the other people have commeneted, the old Chez Porkys no longer exists. Might as well change the name and stop giving people false hope of what used to be an amazing restaurant. Sad what happens when you sell a great restaurant and think it will reman the same.

I’ve been a customer for so long I started with the old Coral Springs store and often schlepped east for 15 years for takeout. But the real Chez Porkies no longer exists. While the service is still great the quality of the food has suffered too drastically since they’ve recently been sold. Good memories, but only memories. If you’ve been there over the years save yourself a trip and go elsewhere. My order was takeout and after tossing it in the trash I called and was given a full credit card refund without a fuss. I’m prbly not the first.

Bonus star for longevity. Smells like an old Chinese restaurant that you never get used to. Fried artichoke appetizer is very good. Ribs are average, pulled pork is OK. The problem was the blackened fish, it tasted as though it was blackened with plastic bags. Not great, won’t be back

My wife just picked up our usual order of Louisiana wings and steamed rice and veggies. It not same as it used to be and i can’t understand why? This was a can’t go wrong place to go for 20 years now” not so much” I will give them one more chance in the regular cook was on vacation but if the wings were this bad i can only imagine how the other great dishes have been changed.

We have been going to Chez Porkys for over 20 years. We decided to go again last night with some friends that usually attend there with us. Upon getting our appetizers of rice and beans we noticed something drastically different. Flavor was not the same. The we ordered our staple selection wing sampler. To our disappointment everything was different there as well. They now toss the wings in the sauces, which makes the soggy. The flavors didn’t taste the same either. I asked if they had new owners, our waitress said yes. Why mess with success. I hate to say but this was probably our last time going. Dario you will be missed!

This place has stood the test of time! It is fabulous every time that I go. Dont even think about disappointment here, Be sure to try the coconut soup, the legendary chicken wings, and ANYTHING Jerk! I defy you to be disappointed in this gem of Pompano.

The waitresses are a hit or miss but the food has always been amazing I come in once a week and always leave happy the wings are very good on a bed of rice or with the fries the raspberry chicken sauce is amazing and the same with the gumbo.

Had the creole which was very good. The collard greens were fabulous. Friendly staff. Comfortable and casual. I’d like to go back and try the Louisiana shrimp

Only my 2nd time visiting… and it was again delish! We started with the southern fried pickles. Awesome! Not greasy and perfectly sliced where you can still taste the pickle. They came with a horseradish sauce that I could have ate on its own. I had the raspberry wings. So yummy! Husband had the seafood gumbo, spicy. He loved it. Perfectly spiced. Dessert was okay… nothing special, but not bad. Service was awesome. Lots of regulars, but we were treated like we were regulars too… we would be if it wasn’t so far from our home. Everything that passed us looked good and fresh. It’s a little hole in the wall… very clean… everyone was super friendly… looking forward to our next trip.

First time here! Went for a pre birthday dinner because my birthday is in 11 days from today! My buddy steve and I shared the wing sampler(16 wings) got 2 sides(collards and beans and rice) and got the desert which was like a toll house cookie cake with ice cream! All delicious!

When I worked in Fort Lauderdale, I was a regular here. Ive had the ribs, jambalaya, most of the shrimp dishes, and most of the appetizers, however what I remember most is the wings. They are probably the best I have had. Prepared just right, meaty, crunchy, and a wide variety of sauces. I am a pescatarian now, so I dont eat chicken, and there are still plenty of options for me there. I wish I lived closer. Highly recommended! If you are not familiar with the area, could be a little tricky to find and if you are on the wrong side of the tracks, it makes it even more interesting :)
