I’ve been coming here to enjoy racing and the seafood buffet until 2 weeks ago. The Belmont ran and was a fun time. However, the Seafood Buffet was a major disappointed. Oddly the restaurant was not full and there was no line, very strange. Come to find out(after we paid) that they no longer were serving the all you can eat crab legs. We were given a ticket for 1 pound only. Nice cut back but price remained the same, and what a let down. We only come for the crab legs and never eat more than a couple of plates. The cafeteria style food was horrible and certainly not worth the $ 70 we paid. Could of had a really nice dinner for 2 at a fine restaurant. Its to bad as we really looked forward to coming when we did. Needless to say we will not be back for the buffet. Not worth the money. Cut backs can bite back!!! Very very disappointed

This is probably my favorite buffet in the area. My family and I go at least once a month.(on weekends for all you can eat crab) Unfortunately, we went this last Friday and there is no more«all you can eat» crab! :(we were so disappointed. Now each customer receivers a voucher for 1 lb of crab. This is what the coconut creek casino does as well. The coconut creek casino is actually closer to my house with convenient parking and an insane dessert bar but there’s smoking inside. I’ve never had a bad meal at the isle though. The food is always great, price is amazing, and the staff is very attentive. There is also no smoking in the casino and I really appreciate that. The only thing the buffet could improve on is the sushi selection.

I am a foodie and love to eat! The buffet here is excellent! Everything from omelets, Italian dishes, Asian food, carving station, salads, sushi, breakfast items, seafood and desserts(one of which was bread pudding!!). The cost is $ 22.95 with tax and gratuity $ 28.61. Limit of 3 alcoholic drinks(wine, champagne {Sandlefoot}, Bloody Marys(employee poured alcohol and tomato juice, unlimited fixin’s). The buffet is from 10 – 3. I would advice getting there at 10 and staying til after 3LOL. Farmer’s Pick is just inside the west entrance of the casino. Parking is tough, expect to park far away and walk/aka burn off food eaten at buffet!

Great overall selections! Friday and Saturday nights they got all seafood items available to eat along with the rest of the regular items(all you can eat crab legs!) My favorite is the make your own pasta station as well. Also there is a lot of delicious desserts to choose from as well! The service at times can be slow to get your refills when its busy. Watch out for rush hour right when the lunch or dinner opens up, long lines! Get there early to be in front or 1 – 2 hours after opening to avoid waiting.

My friend had posted a photo of her«all you can eat stone crabs». I thought that was all you get here at the Friday Night Seafood Buffet. Little did I know that there would be an abundance of delicious fresh seafood and other dishes. Some of the delectable items offered were: Snow crab legs, with mustard sauce, custom made seafood fra Diavlo, Peel and eat shrimp, Stone crab claws, individual Caesars salad, Mandarin and goat cheese salad, sushi, carving station, four different soups, shrimp gumbo, potatoes with all the toppings, roasted root vegetables, mussels marinara, clams with white wine sauce, fried coconut shrimp, fried butterfly shrimp, fried clams, fried calamari with marinara sauce, a few types of pizzas, special bread and freshly baked rolls, blackened salmon, Cajun shrimp boil, sautéed green beans, sautéed mushroom and onions, Asian ribs, spicy tofu dish, pepper steak, lobster mac and cheese, condiments and sauces to go with everything, more desserts than anyone could possibly eat including chocolate dipped strawberries. At dinner they also serve wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, or water. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. Each dish had as much flavor as If I would order that individual dish in a restaurant. The service was really great too. Dirty dishes were cleared off immediately The value for this food was excellent. I am glad that I went early, because when I left there was a very long line extending down hall. Next time I return, I will try to fast for at least a day beforehand…

Best buffet around. Good selection of food. Always fresh. Best Sunday buffet for the money and includes mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. If you pay with points it’s half price.

It has become sort of a tradition that we go to the Thanksgiving OR Christmas buffet at the Isles casino. having missed Thanksgiving it was going to be Christmas. I called the casino to check the price and the woman who answered said that it was $ 19.99. For some reason – maybe memory – that didn’t sound right and I called again Thursday night and was told it was $ 26.99 which sounded more reasonable for a Christmas Day buffet. We got there at 1:30PM and expecting a line I had brought 2 magazines to read while we waited but to my surprise we paid and were seated by 1:48PM! Oh wait! I was more than shocked to see we had been charged $ 15.89 including a soft drink and tax! The buffet and food stations seemed unlimited and if you look at the slideshow at the bottom of this you will see just what I ate — yes I am a big eater and buffets were made for me! The standout items were the ham, steak, Chinese ribs while the pizza slicers were okay. All of the fried foods from the wings, shrimps and Chinese food varieties were cold and very salty. The meatballs were like rocks and the net of a ‘Maine pot’ was not only difficult to get at but the corn and potato were cold, the shrimp, mussels and crayfish tasteless and I couldn’t find any drawn butter so it was a total loss. I didn’t have the sushi, turkey, pasta or any of the salads except for the seafood salad which was too watery, salty and not good at all. Being a sweet eater I had 5 different desserts including the carrot cake and nut cinnamon bun and the latter would have been better if warm. The soft ice cream was soft and that is about all I can say on that item. There is definitely a huge variety of items and more than enough for even fussy eaters to choose from but it would have been better if all the items offered were good and served at the right temperature! There is no denying the price is right for what is good and we will be back next year! Isle Farmer’s Pick Buffet in Pompano Park PS I won $ 78+ on the penny slot machine with a $ 5 investment!

I recently went for the Sunday brunch. The price was lowered supposedly because their deli was closed. However, with the lower price the quality of the prime rib was also brought down. Due to the fact that I have had positive experiences in the past, I will give this Sunday brunch one more chance. If the prime rib is still inferior I will never return.

This review is for the Sunday Brunch, which was wonderful. The omelet station was really good, with a nice variety of items to choose. I tried the hash, which is something I never tasted and it was deliciously spicy. I just wish they kept it at a hotter temp. Same for the eggs Benedict, which was a little stingy on the sauce. The Chinese and Italian sections were outstanding. Prime rib carving was smallish and not the best quality. Stuffing was good, couldn’t find the mac & cheese. Delicious waffle, no room for pancakes or French toast. Bagels & lox were yummy. Never made it to desert, but the selections looked good. Wish they had sugar free ice cream for those who need it. We had a wonderful waitress, Mel, who kept the coffee & beverages filled. I think this brunch is well worth the money.

So this place used to be called the Isles Casino Buffet and I guess because of all the bad reviews and what-not, they re-branded with a kinda new look calling it the Farmer’s Pick Buffet. Same ol’, same ol. My Dad loves this place and since I like to spend time with him and his hot 81 year old girl friend(he is 86 and still works!) almost every Sunday we go to the casino, do some gambling and most times they eat at the buffet and I go home to eat. This time I went with them to eat. Big mistake, again! Flies, flies, flies everywhere. That should of been a sign and went to check out what they had hoping they changed the menu. NOT! Same old fried crap, tired looking meat and sushi that I wouldn’t eat on a bet. They had the crab legs on the buffet this time(I guess this explains the flies) and I had one section. After eating a leg, it was so salty and tasted off that I didn’t eat the rest. I had some salad but after the e-coli scare in the spinach leaves lately, I went for the iceberg, with some toppings. How can that be bad? They found a way! The prime rib that was sliced for you this time wasn’t too bad. I had him slice it thin so it wasn’t too chewy. The wine was okay if you like a head-ache the next day and we had to chase our server to pour. I only had 1 and a half which is fine by me. The dessert is… well…dessert. I had a piece of chocolate cake and put some sprinkles on it but the condenser for the sprinkles was broken so I got about ½ a cup of them on my cake. Too much! Afterwards, we went gambling and I left a winner so that explains the one star. This morning my stomach was hurting so bad that I had to stay in my house. My Dad’s girlfriend the same. i think it was the meat since that is what we had to eat in common. My Dad was fine but he can eat a can of E-Coli and wouldn’t feel a thing! Next time he wants to eat at the buffet, I’ll meet him afterwards. Avoid this place unless you want to lose some weight.

Usually I have a great experience there, but tonight, my experience there was not so much. All the food was cold, including the crab legs. I was taking my girlfriend out to celebrate her birthday and her special day was ruined by the cold food and bad service we had. The staff kept on taking plates away whether we were finished or not and rushing us to finish our plates to the point that our server said«what can I take away?» In a rude tone. The Web site listed the dinner at $ 15 a plate with $ 7 per person for all you can eat crab legs for the whole month of October but charged is the full price of $ 30 for each dinner. When asked about the promotion, the host would not admit there was a promotion for this month.

I went here for my first time on Sunday and It’s just OK, …the meal is $ 20 each and you only get 3 mimosas at brunch, it’s not unlimited. The prime rib had so much fat on it that I had to keep pulling fat out. The shrimp had a lot of turd in them and were small and no clarified butter station for the shrimp, we had to keep asking the waiter for some. The service is OK.

Let me preface by saying I grew up on way too many buffets growing up. Once I was full grown and realized I could no longer afford to eat«all I could eat» and in reality, one plate is enough for both me and my husband to share, I started to despise buffets. Now, it was a special occasion for my hubby, so he got his wish to visit the Farmer’s Pick Buffet for their Sunday brunch. The other thing I have to preface is I don’t really get into gambling either and prefer to stay away from casinos. I had never been to this particular casino, but when we drove up, it did look a bit dilapidated outside, and there seemed to be questionable folk walking around. So then we walked in, and unfortunately, it wasn’t their regular Sunday brunch, it was their«Mother’s Day Brunch». There was a huge wait, and it was even more expensive that weekend to attend. The other thing is I am not mother, nor was I with my mother. I was on just a plain date with my husband. So we get up to the cash register to pay, and it is obvious they are giving almost all of the women carnations. The cashier gruffly asked me if I am a mother. When I say no, she just says oh, and then I don’t get a carnation. Maybe I was being oversensitive, but it seemed really rude and cold the way the whole transaction went off. I liked the commercial that I heard recently that said, we don’t know which women are mothers, so we just give every women a deal on Mother’s Day weekend. Otherwise, I am one of the few women ostracized, branded, missing the splash of pink. You wonder, am I less of a woman? Finally, in the endless line, some woman feels sorry for me and hands me a carnation. I am no longer branded childless. So then we finally get to the table, and I am again asked the excruciating question, am I a mother? Haven’t I already paid my dues? When I say no, the waitress laughs and says«No, you don’t look like you could be a mother.» What is that supposed to mean!!! I am again offended. So I run for the meats. They are tough. I try again. Tough. Oh well. I go for the cooked veggies. Mmm, they do have yummy and interesting veggies such as roasted fennel and escarole… win. The dessert menu is endless. There is 3 drinks of mimosas, champagne, or bloody mary’s. This is very cool, although many times the offending waitress is no where in sight. However, we do finally manage to get our three drinks. Eh, for the money, I’d say no way unless my hubby just really wants to go. I say heck no on Mother’s Day. The whole thing was just really painful and insensitive to those not celebrating mothers.

One of the best buffets in town. Great staff, especially Damon, who treated us like VIPs and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Will be back again and recommending to others.(And the gambling is fun too)!

Five stars for value for sure! Saturday nights they offer Endless Seafood at the Farmer’s Pick Buffet. We arrived around 8pm and were at first very confused as you have to wait in line to get a reservation time(the line wasn’t long and the reservation time was ten minutes away) and then wait in line to pay for the buffet, and then wait for a table. This all seemed a little overly complicated to me, but I guess I will trust that they have found this is the best way to do things. Once we were seated I headed straight for the crab and loaded up on lots of Jonah crab and snow crab. They have the mustard dipping sauce and hot butter to go along with each. Our waitress brought over our wine and we dug in. I have insert an apology here for anyone within a five foot radius of me as I’m pretty sure they probably got hit with crab in one form or another as I was definitely making a mess of things, but the crab was delicious so I’m not that sorry. The second trip to the buffet I got more crab and shrimp, and my boyfriend came back with Chinese food. After yelling at him that we weren’t here for Chinese, we were here for crab, he pointed out that he had a crab rangoon and made me try it. Now I don’t normally like crab rangoon but I have to say that this one was really, really good, so I gave him permission to enjoy his Chinese. My third trip to the buffet the guy at the carving station called me over and insisted that he had a great cut of prime rib and that I had to try it. I had never had prime rib before so I really have no basis for comparison, but I do know that I thought it was delicious and will no longer be avoiding that meat in the future. The staff here was incredibly friendly overall and our waitress was happy to serve us some our wine as the night went on. Three glasses were included in the buffet, I didn’t think I would drink all three but she was quick to fill them when I was empty so it seems that I did. So in summary, the food was great, the service was great, the wine flowed, and after eating probably at least five lbs of crab between the two of us for less than $ 100 this deal really can’t be topped.

The 1st2 times we went to Farmer’s Pick, it was great. since then service has greatly declined. We had a party of 6. The night started with the cashier automatically adding 18% gratuity to our check. Basically the waitress received $ 40 for her 5 minutes of work getting us a few drinks. This is a buffet… after all. And I had to chase a refill for 5 minutes. The food was good as always. 95 minutes from the time we walked in and paid, not seated, we had a manager approach us to leave. The girls that were with us, were in the bathroom, yet 4 people showed up and started clearing our tables while we were seated and while our wives purses were still sitting there. It wasn’t a gentle clearing, it was more like a get the Hell out of here clearing. we will never go back. between the 6 of us, we spent over $ 1000 at the casino before dinner. next time we will spend it somewhere else.

I never went to this buffet prior to its makeover, but it’s new, probably improved, and quite tasty. This review is for Sunday Brunch. All the food is pretty fresh, and you can see them making a lot of it. I usually think of the Golden Corral when I think buffets, but this isn’t in that category. Granted, for $ 17 it should be a lot better, but I digress. There are plenty of options, and most are good. There are fresh eggs benedict(tasty), bacon(pretty good), sausage(very good), and made-to-order eggs at the first stop. Continue on, and you will see an Italian-themed section, that usually has some pizza, but I’ve never gone here for brunch. The Chinese-themed section is great. They almost always have roast pork(excellent), egg rolls(very good), fried chicken wings(very good), fried rice(very good), and a sampling of meats-in-sauce, such as orange beef, sesame chicken, or general’s chicken(all quite good). Move on, and you will fins soups and salads(never tried them), a carving station(great), and some Southern breakfast etc. options, such as biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, and hash browns. Finally are some fresh-baked muffins, scones, and breads, which are all good. The dessert bar is huge, and not as great as you’d imagine, but the rest of the food is good enough for me to give that a pass. The cheesecake is meh here, but you can usually find a good mini key lime pie or other tart that will satisfy. Endless mimosas are very nice, and the coffee is good. What more do you need to drink at brunch? I believe there is a bloody mary bar, but I’m not a fan of those. I recommend this, and would give it 3.5 stars easily. I gave it 4 here, because it’s good enough to round up.

This large restaurant was upgraded in September & is now call the«Farmer’s Pick Buffet» per . It is the best buffet I have ever been to in south Florida. That includes all the Chinese buffets, The Ark(which recently closed after more than 25 years but may be reopening in 2013), & the casinos. We went for their Sunday Champagne Brunch for $ 17.99. The prime rib was to perfection, the fried dumplings great, the roasted corn on the cob off the grill mmmmmm, the bacon, homemade potatoes, fried rice, excellent garlic bread, croissants, & even the pizza all very good to great! I was surprised how good the cheese & sauce on the pizza was; actually decent for Florida. Nah, not the best of NYC as the dough is off but thin crust masks the Florida water problem impacting the dough & overall it was great for Florida pizza. Honestly, after 3 plates of food I did not need dessert but got a nice piece of blackout cake they had just put out. I cannot wait to try their dinner buffet with additional goodies like spareribs, seafood, etc. My only complaint was the spring roll; simply did not like it. Plus the waits when we arrived at 1:15PM were insane. We had to wait a bit for a table. Next time we would go earlier & seat ourselves. The server was slow getting us set up but the place was really insanely busy; however, she more than made up for it. The weekend brunch includes free mimosa(2 glass limit per person) & other beverages. We did not have to look for the server to get the refills & later coffee. The workers there work hard and by the time we left around 3PM they all looked exhausted to me. I heard they start serving at 10AM.

UPDATE: After the renovation. The casino redid the buffet and it got better, so I awarded it an extra star. Much more has been added to the plethora of things already there including: Sushi Meatloaf Macaroni More soups and salads Baked Potato Bar etc…
