Awful food. I’m not sure if it was stale or just bad. The owner was very unfriendly. Maybe it helps if your Polish

I recently had the Polish Deli cater a Polish dinner for a group of 25 people. I could not be happier with the results. The owner and his wife were lovely and very accommodating. The prepared stuffed cabbage, fresh kielbasa and an assortment of pierogis. We rounded it off with fresh bread, a variety of deserts, and Polish beer and soda. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the group raved about the food. I will absolutely be back to the Polish Deli!

Great people that own the shop. The pierogis, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, and blood sausage was excellant. Great food at a great value.

What a horrible and shitty situation! Avoid this place at all cost! The food is disgusting! the owner is nasty and disrespectful! Last night I came to blue Willys for some BBQ right next door so I parked at the Polish deli because the place was closed by then. halfway through my meal I got a BOOT on my car… I couldn’t believe it. Had to pay $ 65 to get my car released. I wasn’t going to write a bad review about the polish deli but after the intentional harassment and other stories I’ve heard about the misconduct to other costumers by the polish deli owners I decided it’s the right time. Please avoid the place at all cost. The food, service and treatment sucks. Complete SHIT.

The owner is not a nice person, and very unprofessional. The food here tasted like sh*t, and looks dirty. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Add me to the list of former patrons. The Parking war they are waging just makes the experience uncomfortable to eat at either place. Reminds me of a child jealous of another kid who has a cooler toy.

Place doesn’t get enough business to keep food fresh. Service is bad and they often leave you waiting while they attend to parking lot issues. Bad reviews are often removed from here. Save you money there are better polish delis in Pompano.

Cue little deli. My friends told me about their Moscow ham they carry so i went there. Good selection of deli meats and polish cheeses that are hard to find. They have imported groceries, variety of beers, i bought this new Amber organic wheat beer. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. They have about 6 tables upfront and a lunch menu. Homemade items in the frozen case.

From the meat case take home their great fresh/frozen Polish Kielbasa sausage! Boil it in a pot then brown the sausage in a skillet serve with a little red cabbage and mustard and and a quick wonderful meal! They keep the Kielbasa hidden it in the freezer in back… so you must ask! Love the angel wing pastries with powdered sugar!!!

This place caught my eye while I was on my way on the bus to Saint Coleman’s for the Saturday night vigil. After services I felt I should walk by to see when I might return to see what they have. Boy was I lucky, they were just about to close, but I think they knew they had a reliable customer to attend to. Not the normal BS of being herded out of a store so people can go home I was treated with true customer service and with a kind smile that indicated I could take my time. Still, mindful that it was a Saturday night and everyone has plans I grabbed a few treats off the shelves(it’s a mini mecca for canned beets, pickles of all sorts and at least 30 assortments of mustards) and ambled toward the back where the deli meats and cheeses are stored. Oh was this a treasure chest! Hunters bacon is already cooked and eaten in then transparent slivers much like speck. It is a meaty saline enriched, and yes buttery fat mouthful of porcine goodness… Delicious. Additional purchases were of Edam cheese and several other cheeses. I could have stayed and sampled from the entire collection; I plan on going back to try several more. Upon exiting the store how could I not grab a trio of cold beers that brought me back to my dreamy vacation in Poland; crisp lagers that hit the spot later when I made a picnic of my trove at home. There are also several freezer cases filled to overflowing with pierogis of all types, stuffed cabbage and probably a baker’s dozen of other old world eastern European delights. I can’t wait to return!

First of all if you want a review based on parking then you don’t want a review about the places food or groceries(see a lot of those below). The stuffed cabbage and pierogie were great. The owners very friendly and helpful. The grocery range and drinks selection are awesome too. This is the better Polish deli in the area, give it a go!

Wow! I need to review this place to take away some of the horrible reviews that have NOTHINGTODO with the quality or service of the market. First of all, over 50% of the reviews here are of people complaining about their car being towed because they parked here to dine at Blue Willies(which is a great place btw) and didn’t read the signs posted(or neglected to heed the warning). The lot is small, other businesses are entitled to their parking regardless of their age or amount of business. If you parked there and got towed because you neglected to read the sign, guess what?! That’s your own fault! Don’t knock a perfectly good business because you were careless and didn’t pay attention to the very obvious signage. Now that’s out of the way, I am a first time customer I have never been here before and I was treated with compassion and respect. The owner(Thomas is his name) truly cares about his clientele and offered me samples of everything I asked about!!! Cheese, ham, sausages, he encourages you to try his products! That means he is passionate about what he sells and wants his customers to enjoy it too. That is the model is great customer service. He was very knowledgeable and described everything and answered any questions I had. We asked him about his favorite polish beer(he sells quite a few) and he told us and recommended several others. Me and my friend stopped here impromptu since we were headed to Blue Willies for dinner. I ended up buying quite a few really nice products and some meats, he was nice enough to give me a bag of ice to keep the meats cool while they sat in my friends car. He was incredibly friendly and encouraged us to come back another time to try other products. There is no reason to give a place negative reviews when you’re angry about your car being towed or because«you’re not an old polish person so you can’t appreciate the food» seriously. Give an honest business a chance before you give negative reviews.

What a mixed bag of review Old World Polish Deli seems to have, but for the most part, I noted a good number of them have to do with car towing and some sort of parking space riff with the neighboring business of Blue Willy’s Barbecue. So, though being a longtime patron Blue Willy’s even back to the day when he hustled his delightfully good barbecue out of the back of a red trailer, I decided to give Old World Polish Deli a try. When I went to park there were plenty of spaces designating parking only for Old World Polish Deli along with a clear abundance of warning signs that, if you weren’t a patron, you were going to be towed. So, unless whoever was parking in those spaces and got towed, unless they were a complete illiterate, it clearly looked to me like they may only have themselves to blame. Anyway, I generally do most of my shopping at smaller ethnic or specialty markets; some them Russian, some Hungarian, some Polish, a good number of Italian, and of course, probably because I’m ethnically Swedish, my beloved IKEA. Yes, with the exception of IKEA, the prices tend to be higher, but the taste and flavor of what you get is otherwise unmatched. In these regards the foods I’ve purchased, such as herrings, bacons & etc. at Old World Polish Deli have indeed followed that general rule of being better in flavor and though I generally order my bacon custom from Nueske’s, have found their«Danish»(though I’m baffled about«Danish» in a Polish market) bacon being rather close to its equal as well as a lot less pricey. The first time I entered the store, somewhat contrary to the situation others have stated, I was more than warmly greeted by the owner who, knowing I hadn’t shopped there before, gladly gave me complimentary tastings prior to my purchases. It’s certainly not a big store, a nothing in comparison to the large Polish markets of Cheektowaga(a sub of Buffalo), those of the Strip Area of Pittsburgh or various district areas of Chicago. However, it is well stocked, has ample supplies of about anything Polish you might need, is spotlessly clean and has a couple of tables and chairs for those that would like to eat foods from a small but rather decent menu offering. Too bad others seem not to have had a good shopping experience, but I can only attest to my personal experiences. And as to the parking situation, I can see that Blue Willy’s, being as popular as it is, does have a problem, but one can hardly expect the owner of the property next door to provide Blue Willy’s patrons with his parking spaces.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Let’s start at the twisted beginning. Long before this shop was ever open and wasn’t even under construction. Blue Willy’s opened two doors down. Even under these circumstances where he needed no parking — the owner started an all out war for parking spaces. Calling the tow company on anyone and everyone. One day I was at Blue Willy’s and he called the tow company on a cop car. Yeah — a marked police cruiser. The guy is a psycho and makes no attempt to get along with his incredibly popular neighboring food establishment. Those of us who frequent Blue Willy’s with regularity have all had issues with this guy. And all of them could have been resolved more amicably. Funny thing is… if he had been nice to the Blue Willy’s crowd he would have a thriving business because it’s such a loyal fan base many of which work and live in the area. With all the negative experiences I swore I’d never try the place. But lucky would have it I had a day that I walked over to Blue Willy’s from my office that Blue Willy’s was closed. So I sucked it up and gave the place a try. Now if I was an old world Pole that wanted things from the homeland that aren’t readily available here it would be a cool place to go for the candies and sodas and other food items that I had no clue about. I am not, so it was more of a oh… look at this stuff that I don’t know what it is. About 90 percent of the store is shelves stocked with these foodstuffs from Poland. There is 3 tables for actual dining. It’s a tiny, cramped and weird set up. No reason you should be eating on top of each other in a store that big… with no other patrons. The food. I got a a keilbasa. It was ok. I’ve had superior at the grocery. And WAY better at other establishments that make their own. The woman serving us was really nice, that was about the high point of the«dining» experience. The food was served on styrafoam plates with plastice fork and knife. I mean just all around it’s not good. I feel bad that I even ate there that day… if there was anything else in walking distance for a lunch break I wouldn’t have. You good reader — don’t make that mistake. Don’t go here — not just because the place two notches below mediocre — but because this horrible business owner doesn’t deserve your hard earned money.

I was really excited to try this Polish deli because it’s in the same area as some of my fav places. Well, let me start this post by saying that it is my sincere wish that every business is successful. With that wish, every business owner should accept that he or she is in business serving the public. The public pays the bills so you have to be NICE! The owner of the business didn’t say hi when we came in, when I said«excited to try your deli» he shrugged at me! When I asked about the kielbasa being spicy or not he pointed to the menu and said«does it say spicy»!! Ughh nasty attitude! But wait it gets better — as I was standing there he got a call on his cell phone and ran out the front door screaming at the top of his lungs — and it was at someone in the parking lot. We couldn’t believe it, we exited and as we were leaving this guy comes from around the side of the building with a tire lock and at the deli owners command puts the lock on the tire of the car. We could tell that the owner was obviously pissed that someone parked in one of his polish deli spots and was going to the tarot card reading place next to his deli. The guy who owned the car started screaming and it went down hill from there. As we were leaving the car owner was being told by the polish deli owner that to remove the boot was $ 60 on the spot! I know that’s a long explanation but the point here is that the polish deli owner seems to have a serious attitude problem and while other business patrons my aggravate him, his sour attitude cost him my dinner dollars!

On a recent visit for some BBQ next door my wife and I stopped in to have a look around and liked what we saw and who we met. The owner was present and a pleasure. A small, clean polish grocery store, a great little deli case, and a small but quaint lunch area. As we had already eaten we didn’t enjoy lunch there but the menu looked short but good and pricing was very inexpensive. We bought several things, including Polish beer, pirogies and fresh polish sausage. Prepared at home all were great. We’ll get back for sure!

Great little old-world Polish deli with all the fixins. Pierogi, flaczki, barszcz, biscuits, kielbasa, etc. Very helpful staff directed me to the homemade Ukrainian-style pierogi they have behind the counter, in addition to the pre-made kind from Chicago. Nice place to stop in if you’ve got a craving for something different(or for something from back home, if you’re an immigrant)

Okay. So. To begin with, my grandparents on my mom’s side immigrated to the United States from Poland around 1914-ish, or just before WWI … most likely to escape the horror of war. Like hundreds of thousands of European families who left the old country for the Midwestern section of the United States in the early part of the 20th century, my grandparents purchased some fertile land in the northern woods of Wisconsin, settled in, and became dairy farmers. My grandmother, who by all accounts was a terrific cook and baker, would prepare all types of recipes. She baked homemade breads(kneading the dough), cakes and Polish donuts(called pączki), soups, pierogi’s, and stuffed cabbage, among other recipes. My grandparents had 13 children, including my mother. My grandma passed down these recipes to my mom, and my mom, who departed us in 2004, would prepare these terrific recipes for us. My six siblings and I have very fond memories. I often search for Polish deli’s and bakeries in South Florida with the hope that I could taste my mom’s recipes again, and I think I found the place … Old World Polish Deli. For around 20 minutes, I spoke with the owner gent, who emmigrated from Poland, along with his wife, to South Florida nearly 20 years ago. It was a pleasant conversation, and it revolved around the story above. As I learned, the husband and wife team make the food, and the food is homemade, and it’s terrific. I purchased a host of homemade recipes, including bean soup(awesome), potato and cheese pierogi’s(awesome), and stuffed cabbage rolls(awesome). There are a few tables and chairs set up in the store. You can sit down and eat there if you want. The owner gent, who is extremely friendly and helpful, said next time I come, he’ll pop open some wine to sample with the food. They also have a host a Polish groceries and Polish beer, and of course the deli. I ordered some baked ham(awesome), too. He also suggested I try some Hunter stew, which I’ll try next time. The Hunter stew has all of the things you’d fine in a stew, but this version includes kielbasa Polish sausage chunks. Sounds really good. I also told him that my mom would make pączki treats, too, and he says they do make them here on Thursdays. If you google this donut name, you’ll learn that it’s a Fat Thursday Polish tradition, which is why they only make them on Thursday. I stumbled upon this place because it’s two doors down from Blue Willies. So, every time I visit Blue Willies, I’ll certainly stop in and purchase something homemade here, too. And, I strongly encourage you to do the same.

Just found this new Polish Deli on S. Federal Hwy. What a great selection of specific Eastern European treats. We found a large variety of hard to find chocolates, cookies and jams. It’s a small family owned deli that is very personal in helping you understand what delicacies they have to offer. We bought some delicious, «Delicje Apricot Biscuits», a very light biscuit filled with apricot jam and covered in light milk chocolate, «E. Wedel Mleczna Kokowa», a coconut filled chocolate that just melted in your mouth, and«Alexandra’s Home Style Pierogi’s», we picked the mushroom and kraut fillings that we never saw before. Their prices seem very reasonable, a very large selection of ice cold Polish beer that went great with a piece of Polish sausage stick’s that we tried. Check out the pictures that we took for that there might be some items that are interest to you. It’s a place that you might want to check out if you are in the area and see for yourself. Cheers!
