Good grub. The gal behind the counter was sweet and cute. Been there twice now and really like it.

Nothing like not being a local and having everyone stare when you walk in. Now that’s something that keeps focus on the food unless staring contests with other customers is on your bucket-list. Good thing the food was good and the place crowded, forcing me to sit at the counter and by-pass the stare-off option. Coney’s has standard offerings for breakfast, but it’s the corned beef hash that caught my eye that morning. Getting it was a surprise though. It looked like hash browns with a smattering of meat. When I asked, I was told Coney does their own corned beef and I guess they do – it was different. Surprisingly good, though. The potatoes were seasoned, or maybe soaked in, the same spices used for corned beef. It was tastier than it sounds and if you want carbs instead of protein, this is an ideal alternative. The coffee was standard diner coffee, the eggs okay but nothing special, but the wait staff was perfect. They really do know everyone’s name and that’s a positive. All in all, Coney’s was a win. It’s a cute little place. If you’re not a local, expect some polite stares, but know that this too shall pass.

Coney café is a friendly place where they seem to know everyone of their customers by name. The coneys are great, the fries are crisp and hot. My kids would want Mickey D’s but I turned them to the coney Now they love it. A small but nice local spot for lunch and breakfast.

The Coney Café is a friendly place with tasty Coneys and great breakfasts. The burgers aren’t bad either! I really love the Kentucky Hash.
