This place is racist. I went to go eat there with my mom. We walked in no one greeted us or showed us to our seats. The waitresses were all doing nothing. So we seated our selves. No one came to take our orders. All of the other patrons were seen about who are white. No one came to see about us. With us being the only AA. We left. I made a complaint to BBB. The manager faked cared about my complaint. As I talked to her over the phone. She was laughing

After working for 12 hours, my coworkers and I decided on some drinks and pool. Unfortunately, we chose this place. Don’t get me wrong, Dillons is not the worst bar in the world. Not by a longshot. And it has a lot of potential! However that potential was not present during our visit. The place was dirty, their pool tables were not well-maintained, their drinks were pricey, and their service was slow and boring. We left after playing only a couple games of pool in favor of another bar. Let me break down the actual review: Service — 2.5 stars. Not friendly, slow, and boring. You could tell taking care of us was not what our waitress came to work to do. Price — 3 stars. A little pricey, but we didn’t stay long enough to run up too high of a tab. Cleanliness — 2 stars. It doesn’t kill you to get someone to sweep regularly, and wipe down all the chairs and tables. Atmosphere — 3 stars. The bar had a big screen, plenty of pool tables, and decent music. With a little more improvement I actually would’ve enjoyed it.

Came here while I was in town on business and was pleasantly surprised. I went off of the reviews here and was literally this close to going to Chili’s, glad I didn’t. I sat at the bar, had the stuff jalapeño burger and sweet potatoes fried and the food was great and service was good. Didn’t know what to expect since I don’t live here and don’t know the area but it was a good experience and k would definitely go back here.

In my younger days, this was just a bar, but now it is a full fledged bar AND restaurant. The food here is top notch and because it is a bar, you can order food later than most restaurants. Win win! Wednesday’s steak night is great and most everything on the menu I have enjoyed.

I’ve experienced both good and bad here at Dylan’s … The best was learning just how great Hamilton Loomis really is … The bad was learning not to set your fresh new top shelf scotch with rocks on the side on the rail in the pool side while you go to the bathroom … Seems that there are a few brazen drunkards that hang around waiting for just that event to occur … What happened was that I returned to find that my fresh top shelf scotch had shrunken by about 75% … I was pissed, but could not do anything about it as I had no proof who the a**h*le was … I really hope that he stumbled into or over something and broke his neck though … Overall, the smoke is absolutely horrid … Every time I went there … !~

The service was horrible! Their version of chicken fried steak, is chicken strips… The biscuits were old and stale and the gravy was like water. We went to go watch a Steelers game and apparently all the TVs are hooked up to one speaker so, we had to watch the first half of our game in silence and captions. So, we left and ended up back at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch our game… overall the place is ok but, they need to have the TVs with all separate speakers because we all do not want to watch the same game and they need to improve their food!

Good food, good music, good environment. The staff has improved over the years. Clean for the most part. Cleaner than most anyway. Good for most social groups. Smoking allowed but separated from the main area. Not a bad place overall.

Food is great and service has never been a problem for me. The crowd has definitely changed in the past few years, don’t know if it’s for the better. It’s a local bar, better then most in the area if you just wanna hang out. I prefer to go during the week when it’s not too crowded and no live music so it’s a bit quieter, but the live bands aren’t half bad. I also want to add that before 9pm children are welcome.

How does one climb from a 2 to 4 star rating? You hire people that seem to care, top it off with a little nightly special, surround it in love from the kitchen and add a little«friendly ambience» and you’ll get anybody that was not a fan before, crawfish what they put as a bad review before. If you just relocated to the Nederland area because of work you will soon hear of this«Dylans». This is the place, yes, it is a little dark and dainty outside, it looks like something of a neighborhood bar and grill cookie cutter clutter but on the inside is where you are transformed into a semi cheers type setting. May I recommend you make your first visit on a Tuesday(prime rib night) or a Wednesday(ribeye, ribs and boudin). These dishes are the first I have ever seen some dishes come out of a place like this pass up some restaurants that are supposed to be about food. Try them out, you will not be disappointed, be prepared to be surprised and off guard like I was. Parking is tight, it depends on what time you get there but pretty much ample. Service…great service, a lot of new people it seems and as usual depends on who you get as a server. I’ve always had decent service whether I visit alone or with a group of my work buddies. The drink especially the specials are really really decent. On Wednesdays there is a special on alcohol. $ 2 for lone star, bud light, apple crisp and some other that slipped my mine but what got me was whisky and coke is only $ 2…not $ 6 like some other place that went downhill and down rated *cough jungle*. After you have read this please bookmark it and give it a chance, you will be glad you made the return visit like I did.

I really loved this place! We are talking serious sports bar vibe with all of the tv’s around, wood interior, bar front and center and classic dark flooring. Toss in some good service and I was hooked! I actually came here 3 nights in a row while in town because nothing else was worth eating in town. The fried mushrooms and green beans were perfection. Not that soaked greasy crap… the breading here is superb! Street tacos, YES… they are small and perfect portion for an actual street taco(–1 point for no corn tortillas). NOW, let me tell you about Wednesday night! You pull up and there’s a smoker outside… BBQ… they work it ALL day and damn it takes amazing. I got the ribs, my co-worker got the ribs and ribeye. Hot damn… all you could hear at the table was mmm, ohhh, damn… lips smackin… we live in Texas… the land of BBQ and we both thought this was amazing. They do this every Wednesday! Decent drink selection, nice bloody mary and standard drinks… good service for the most part. I’d seriously get a hotel closer the next time I was in town… if that was possible.

Not a bad menu, but the overwhelming smell of cigarettes keeps this place«just a bar.» Too bad

Not a review of the restaurant but of the bar, and it sucks for the brief 45 seconds I was there. Lets be fair, I haven’t experienced this place enough to write a true solid review but, the cover charge was outrageous and it was karaōke night. $ 15 to hear horrible attempts at singing and overpriced drinks? No thank you.

Growing up in Port Arthur & Southeast Texas, this place(formerly The Handlebar) was one of THE places to go to in Mid-County. Since I moved away in 1999, I would still stop in during the occasional visit«back home». Again, the service was still good & the bar itself had great drink specials. Even when the name changed to Dylans, the bar itself seemed to never miss a beat. A couple weeks ago I happened to be in the Golden Triangle for the night, so we stopped in to get a quick drink before heading back to our motel room. As soon as we came in the facility itself was trashed. Obviously there was nobody picking up & bussing tables. The staff was nice but didn’t seem to care, & the beer I ordered was flat & I could barely finish half of it. Only saving grace was that it was really cheap or else I would’ve raised hell about it. I’m not sure if it was the time of the evening that we went(after 10pm), or the day of the week that we went(monday), but could my recent experience show a possible downfall of Dylans? Looking at the pictures on here, their pics on Instagram, as well as the occasional Facebook post I see from a friend or 2 that still live in Southeast Texas, it seems to still be a popular place to go & I hope that we just happened to be there on a «bad night» for them. Not sure when I’ll be back in Southeast Texas again but when I do & if I come back here, I hope I have a better experience like I did in years past.

I’m from a small town kind of like Port Arthur so when I go «home» I avoid places like these because I might run into some highly unsavory characters. Apparently this is THE or one of the only places to get a drink around these parts. I had to swerve the roaches in the parking lot. F.M.L. The only reason they get a 3 star is because they were open late on a Monday night and there was a funny Azn man at the bar. It seemed like he was a regular and was making us laugh. We asked him if he had ever seen The Hangover. See where I’m going here? He was hilarious. Hi Johnny!

In town visiting my family for the Holidays and came here w/my Brother & his GF to escape the parents. I remember coming here when it was Handle Bar. I have to say things have changed a bit. We had just finished dinner so we did not have food. Just drinks and shot some pool. The staff was friendly and very efficient, sometimes too efficient. Our waitress came by quite a lot, even after she had just dropped off our order. The regulars were quite friendly as well. These two older guys bought Me, my Brother & his GF a round of drinks while we took turns playing pool. There was a DJ who played everything from Oldies, Top 40’s, Rock, Hip Hop, and Country. A little bit of something for everyone. I had a good time, and I would definitely go back.

I’ve been looking for salvation a long time. Dylan’s delivered by putting a sign above the bathrooms that pointed right to it! I came here on a late Sunday. The place was quiet, the service prompt and attentive – things couldn’t have been more perfect. The Oyster Nachos are a must. I’m sad they are so far away from me as I reminisce. I was less adventurous with my main course and had the ham and cheese melt. I have to say though – it was a mean sandwich. The melt was hearty and hit the spot my road-tired soul needed before catching some Zzzzzz’s.

I met up with a friend here on a Sunday night around 10:00 for a drink before a long work week. There were plenty of seats available at the bar and around the entire place, but It wasn’t empty by any means. I would say a pretty good crowd for a Sunday night. After sitting down at the bar and flailing my arms for a bit I got the bartender’s attention. Minus 1 star. After that though, they bartenders were nice, fun and attentive. For a libation, I grabbed a pitcher of Shiner Bock and at $ 10, I thought it was a great deal. Being new in town, I liked the crowd too. Some guys were drinking alone while there were also a few rowdy crowds. Good mix overall. I saw a few people feasting on some late munchies. I wasn’t hungry at the time, but next time I’m in town, I’ll order up some nachos.
