I moved back to the area after being gone several years and I am sad that this location seemed a bit run down. Me and my fiancée went in for a meeting with another couple and I walked to the counter to get a coffee. The young man behind the counter made some recommendations and I chose my coffee. When we went to sit down we chose a spot in the cozy back room. After sitting for about 10 minutes a very frantic young lady told us all that we had to leave the room because she was just informed there was a large party about to be there to occupy the room. I was very annoyed that there was no sign posted In advance. They seemed very short staffed. I realized that the guy who made my coffee was wearing flip flops and not in a uniform or clothing with company logos. He wasn’t really on shift, just helping the one girl up at the counter. Needless to say I don’t know if I will be back to this location. I may give the beaumont location a try.

I have visited this Sertino’s several times in the past and they seem to do a good job. The coffee is good, and the environment is nice and who doesn’t like free WiFi. This location is somewhat larger than the Sertino’s in Beaumont, and quieter. I go here when I am in the area, rather than their competitors location.

I am smoothie person. Being out of town in small town where most smoothie places add syrups and yogurts and protein powders, leaves me in a tight spot for finding a true fruit smoothie However Sertino’s in typical small town fashion listened to my food snob predictament and now makes me custom all fruit smoothies, and so now when I’m in town, I come here almost everyday for my breakfast smoothie. I’ve had a sandwich and it was a super cheese experiences as is typical in Texas, which is(If something is good, more is better) approach to meat and cheese. So sandwiches aren’t everyday, but all the service comes with that broad smile Texas hospitality.

This Sertino’s location is a hidden gem on Memorial Blvd. For a café that specializes in coffee, dessert items and food, I found this location to be quite welcoming to stop in while on the road traveling to Houston. First off, the café itself. I found this to be quite roomy, clean, and kinda artistic. It didn’t convey an old, crusty building at all. In looking at the crowd after 6PM on a Monday, it was mostly millennials that were chilling out within the larger room designed for private parties, or along the walls of the café itself. The baristas were laid back and friendly, and I found my triple expresso product to be brewed just right. Although its quite hard to mess up, you would be surprised at how many upscale coffee venues mess it up. This venue didn’t, so I was pleased. Parking is plentiful here, yet its mainly due to being in a mid-sized shopping center area that has a Conn’s, a boot store, and several other smaller stores adjacent to Sertinos. I would certainly return.

I was NOT impressed. This placed seems like it used to be an old Chinese Restaurant. I asked the lady behind the counter some questions in regards to coffee and what they have and how they make it and she had no idea. Not knowledgeable. Their selection/service seems limited on to what they can make or have on hand. The person that brought me here raved about this place, but I was not impressed. This is definitely a place to come and chill, to study or do home work, there were even grown men there playing with pokeman cards… Any ways,…
