Banana Bay Waterfront Motel

A great place to stay, very comfortable, right on the water!

A cute, mellow, completely unpretentious resort motel. We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the surrounding area. Life here revolves around the fishing pier and the Adirondack chairs where people watch the sun set. There’s also a small pool and a nice mini golf course next door. It’s the kind of place where you can wear your pyjamas outside on the dock in the morning and nobody looks twice. Relaxing. The rooms were somewhat small, but clean, with kitchenettes.

Cool little cottages to stay. Has a fishing pier known for catching big fish!
I rented room #112. The waterfront view or the Punta Gorda bridge view.
The room was clean, small but nice.
The room is equipped with a gas stove, I haven’t used one in 28 years!!! A small refrigerator, flat screen TV and shower.
My room had double beds.
Note: If you plan on staying here, don’t think you will see rooms to look like a Holiday Inn or similar. This is a place to stay to relax and enjoy what’s around town.
My son and I fished off their pier and caught two Red Snappers, two Catfish and even a Stingray. Although, after all the rain we had so far, the water has been turned and the big fish run out to the gulf! Usually can catch bigger fish such as Gag Groupers, Shark, Tarpon and Red Fish.
A great father and son getaway and also great for a family who are passing by who seeks relaxation and a great view with a pool, hammock and swing, also kayaks to rent and checkout the cool surroundings.
