Carvel is the local mecca for fresh«old school» ice cream. Go there on Wednesdays for the«Wednesday is Sundae» BOGO special — buy one sundae get one free. Check out their ice cream cakes while you’re there. They are delicious. They sell Carvel cakes in some supermarkets but it’s not the same IMO. The Carvel store ice cream is fresh! And you can have them customize their cakes for special occasions. It seems ice cream cakes are a forgotten treasure. I hope Carvel never goes out of business because that would make me really really sad. Carvel Crunchies are on my list of one of America’s greatest inventions. It’s inventor, Tom Carvel, was an iconic ice cream maker & businessman. Born in Greece, he started out selling ice creams out of his truck. Tom Carvel developed a secret soft serve ice cream recipe. Highly successful, his business eventually developed into a large ice cream franchise. Carvel commercials featured his distinctive voice & latest concepts, including low fat ice creams like the Thinny-Thin. He even created ice cream characters, remember the Cookie Puss? That’s a great foodie trivia question. «Who invented the Cookie Pus?» RIP Tom Carvel. Great man, great ice creams.

My brother was running late, so he asked if i can pick up my niece from school. I was going to go shopping there any way so we decided to have ice cream. Place wasn’t busy. we each had the soft ice cream. It came to less then $ 10.00. Staff was friendly, and fast service.

If I can give this location zero stars I would!!! I was just in this location and ordered 3 small cups of ice cream. As our server, Michelle was giving us the ice cream her hair had fallen into one of the cups, she quickly took it out and looked to see if we noticed. Since I noticed that this happened, she gave me a new cup of ice cream. If I did NOT notice, I would have gotten the ice cream with her hair in it that she took out. She put the ice cream with the piece of hair in it, NOTINTHEGARBAGE, but she put it in the freezer and I am assuming she will either put it back in the bucket of ice cream, or give it to another customer who orders the same thing I did. This carvel location is disgusting, and OVERPRICED!!!

So after giving them a glowing 5 star review which I rarely give to any business, they totally disappointed me on Saturday. I was so excited to drive 40 minutes to port Chester and eat their amazing Nutella soft serve. The girl who helped me was a total dope! I asked her high how up the medium goes with soft serve and she pointed to the picture. It looked good enough so I ordered a medium. she took forever to serve it and by the time she handed it to me the ice cream was melting. I said«this does not look like a medium» she was like«it is». I’ve had a medium there before it was way bigger. This was comparable to a junior size. She did not bother adding more soft serve even though their picture in the shop shows it’s supposed to go a few inches over the cup. She had some of the worst customer service skills I have ever seen. It’s not nice to hire such dopes that don’t know how to keep the customers satisfied. I was furious and paid for my ice cream and went to my car to weigh it on my food scale. The ice cream did not even weigh 8 ounces and that includes the cup! For close to $ 5 you better keep good customers satisfied. So over them.

I am biased. I will probably never have anything bad to say about a Carvel. Still, this is a good one. Quick and friendly(and patient) servers. Selection is typical for Carvel, I think, but either way it’s good. Hooray.

Fast service! Biggest Carvel I have been to! Lots of hard ice cream flavors and great portions! I wish it came back to Brooklyn :-(

Happened to be in this shopping center for Buy Buy Baby and Home Goods and noticed Carvel… Since I’m 6 month prego and on a Carvel kick I couldn’t resist. I was amazed at how huge this location is AND they have more than 1 table to sit at! The ones by me in upper Westchester either have no seating or have 2 tiny tables. Any who — I had 2 scoops of cookies n cream on a sugar cone and hubby had some Starbucks inspired drink. I ate the my ice cream while my 2 year old patiently waited fore to finish so she could eat the cone… What kid passes up the ice cream for just the cone?! That’s right. My kid!

Good ice cream(love the vanilla soft serve). Some of their homemade flavors can be icy, so I’d suggest getting a sample spoon before you order if you’re wary. Staff varies. One of the younger guys randomly disappears without even letting you know he’ll be right back. Was tempted to leave the other day when this happened. Lines get long during the summer, but what do you expect?

We always go here when we need a soft serve fix. How can you not love Carvel? I always think about those crazy commercials on tv when I was kid for Fudgey the Whale cakes, and Cookiepuss. Carvel is easy to find in the tristate area but pretty nonexistent in the south, so I usually visit every time I’m in town. The guy who works/owns this location is ALWAYS there. Oh, and if you get a cone, the sizes are deceiving. The small is pretty big, and the regular is HUGE! So be warned.
