Delicious lunch. Husband got a BLTE with avocado and I had perch sandwich; both very good. The Autumn Orchard Salad with beets, chevre, and cranberries was also excellent. I could eat that salad every day. If you have room, try the brownie. Fudgey, warm and divine with a pretzel crust. Oh my!

My husband and I visited on a Friday night. You couldn’t have asked for a better wait staff! They had live music that was amazing and our genre of songs! I had the half duck special and it was suburb! My husband had the red snapper special and he too loved his dinner! We then shared the chia tea crème brûlée for dessert. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal! It’s a little pricey here but you get what you pay for! We would highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out!

Atmosphere was great, especially the back patio. We were seated right away, live music on the patio. Music was not lame at all, so that was a plus. Music also wasn’t intrusive, allowed my wife and I to enjoy each other with good background music. The attire for the staff was somewhat confusing though, almost as though some were trying too hard. Hostess was dressed for the hilt while the servers were dressed appropriately in sleek black attire. Ashley, our server, was busy but present. Not overbearing but not absent either. She allowed us to enjoy our meal while at the same time making sure we were taken care of. Great service. Good bourbon selection not a bad beer selection either. I really would have liked to have seen some of the craft beer on tap though. While it’s an extra cost to have taps, it’s worth it to have 4 – 6 taps. That would have set the place off. The menu was really good and really simple. Thankfully, there was not a huge menu, they know what thy want to do and they do it well, it was well thought-out and good diversity. Menu changes about every 4 weeks, and the owner’s wife came by and gave us a taste of the upcoming menu: sweetbread and escargot, it was definitely above average. You’ll pay $ 18– $ 38 per entrée without drinks and appetizer, and the food was worth it. Our burgers were slightly overdone, but it was forgivable. They should work to correct that though, as I saw this same complaint on other reviews. The place is worth going to, again and again. We will be back and is a new favorite for when we visit the area. This place is a gem for the area.

Pros — New outdoor seating looks great — Duck slider appetizer was tasty Cons — Extremely pricey for what you get — limited menu options. Appetizer prices $ 13-$ 19. Entrees average mid-20’s to $ 39. — A hamburger(did not even have cheese) was $ 18!!! Served with a slice of tomato, onion, and lettuce. Ordered medium, came out well done. The burger was very small — it was smaller than the bun. This was not worth $ 18. — Menu link on the restaurant’s Facebook page does not work

My father, uncle and I ate here yesterday evening, and all I must admit that I was blown away. Having worked in fine dining for over ten years, my standards are higher than the average joe. Everything from the service, to the food, was top notch. My only complaint would be that it was on the noisy side for a Thursday night, however, I am not surprised at the noise level, given the quality of the restaurant itself, relative to the somewhat remote location. The wine list is a wonderful balance, and has an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Between the three of us we ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, an oxtail ragout, scallops with sweet potato purée, and an Asian inspired salmon dish. Everything was superb. My entrée was the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. They were sweet, unctuous and rich, complimented with crisp haricot verts and a dreamy sweet potato purée. I nearly licked my plate clean, as did both my father and uncle. We finished our meal off by sharing a cinnamon toast crunch inspired ice cream dish that I can only describe as naughty breakfast on crack. I would eat here again in a heartbeat, and give this establishment my enthusiastic recommendation.

We arrived with a group of six and the hostess seemed less than eager to help us find a table. «It could be 5 min, could be 30, could be 60… I don’t know.» When we saw two open tables we asked if those were spoken for. She shrugged and said she guess she could push them together for us. We ordered appetizers which were okay — the artichokes were under spiced. The waitress leaned over our table with another table’s martini and spilled some of it on my aunt’s phone and didn’t even realize it. One of us ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and as it was delivered, another item of food was taken off the plate by the waitress and this half-a$$ed plate of sprouts(see pic) was plopped in front of us. It was a huge plate with barely a splattering of sprouts. The main courses were decent but on the whole this place needs a front end polish… better hostess, conscious wait staff, better presentation.

Great food, great service, lives up to the Unilocal reviews. Used to live in Ohio, and miss the Lake Erie influence. Every time we come, I look carefully for a good perch or walleye dinner. This place does not disappoint.

Had dinner with 3 friends here on Saturday night. Arrived at 7:00 without reservations and were seated right away. Homey feel to the place, noise level on this busy night was ear-splitting. You had to yell at the person sitting across from you in order to be heard. The cacophony isn’t a deal breaker for me though if the food and service are good… neither was unfortunately. Our waitress was tatted up, really cute, and super friendly, I liked her immediately. Sadly, she was the most inattentive server on the planet. She disappeared from the dining room for long stretches of time. The bus kid got us bread and the hostess-type employee cleared plates and refilled drinks. We didn’t see much of our server after placing our initial order. On to the food… I wanted it to be really good in the best way… it just wasn’t…and the place is pricey(especially for this area). I had the $ 18.00 Kobe burger and a $ 6.00 caesar salad. The salad was 4 medium sized romain leaves nicely presented with a decent dressing, some croutons, and 2 tasty anchovies. Definitely not horrible, but underwhelming. The burger was a huge disappointment. Undercooked and almost cold. We waited 50 minutes after ordering to receive our food, not really surprised it wasn’t hot… or even warm really. My friend had the $ 49.00 ribeye, he said something like, «At Mancy’s a $ 49.00 steak is worth $ 49.00, this is not». Another friend had the perch which she described as «greasy», I had a small taste of the tarter sauce they served with it, it was heavy on the dill and good. My 4th and final dinner companion had fish tacos which he liked a lot. I sort of feel like this place could do better on a different night, but someone told me they’ve been open a couple of years. You would think they’ve had time to work out the kinks in the off season… it lasts 8 months a year for cripes sake. I left feeling ripped off. Truly hope that if you go, you have a better experience.

Probably won’t be back. I guess they had a brand new overhaul on the menu, so our server didn’t know too much about what they are known for or what was good. Very friendly staff. Excellent martini on special that was priced well. The hamburger was $ 18. I had no idea we were in for a $ 85 dollar night, the two of us, when we stopped in on a whim instead of heading to the mexican place. VERY Very pricey. Bar was crowded; looked like local posh 55+ crowd from the big homes. I think if you are visiting the area and want«date night», go… If you live there in the summers, like we do, it’s probably not your cup of tea. Just my hunch.

So so good. Started off with a bloody mary, smelts & pork buns. Smelts were wonderful. I recommend the clam chowder with a bit of hot sauce and it’s spot on! I thought the portions were plenty big enough — just try a bit of everything. It’s not the cheapest place to dine but it’s beautiful & the food was great. The décor is fabulous and the ambiance is balanced with people laughing and having intimate conversations. I highly recommend this little spot — it was well worth the drive!

I wanted to try this place out based on the excellent reviews, but unfortunately I was let down. The items described on their menu online were not available and the menu was limited. We were informed their menu changed, but it was not updated online. The salad was good, but lacked flavor. I ordered the chicken entrée which was so small I left still hungry, which is difficult for me because I don’t eat a lot as it is… I may have been satisfied if I ate $ 75 – 100 worth of food there, but it wasn’t worth it. On a positive note, the atmosphere was nice along with the staff, but I definitely will not be going back.

Orchard probably serves the best food in the area. That’s a big plus – no where else really comes close. And, nice wine list. However. Three strikes take it down a notch. When we visited it was cold – more air conditioning isn’t necessarily better. It was loud – live music is a nice touch, but unless you dislike conversing with your fellow diners, better bring a hearing aid or turn it up. It was slow – not in a great way if you’re used to being greeted by a waiter or waitress within the first fifteen minutes of sitting down. Maybe that’s the downside of serving the best food in the area.

This place is a total gem in Port Clinton! The owners did a fantastic job putting this delicious menu together and the atmosphere is so fresh and modern. Sunday Brunches here are the best, mainly for the awesome Bloody Mary bar. And don’t leave without trying their clam chowder… it is seriously good. Can’t wait to go back!

We found this place on Unilocal after our dinner plans fell through. The food was really good and they have a very thorough wine list. The décor was nice and very inviting, they even have some outdoor seating. I would recommend this place for a night out, wether it be with your significant other, a small group or just the girls. We will definitely go back!

INLOVE with Orchard. The interior is one of the cutest shabby chic themes I have ever seen– I want my house to look like this place one day. Super cozy feel. Their cheese plate was phenomenal, as well as the drinks. I had some delicious, refreshing raspberry champagne number that I couldn’t have just one of. I only had the bowl of clam chowder for my meal but that was a meal in itself! Generous portion and so delicious. I am getting married on Catawba so needless to say, every time I need to visit for something, I will be coming to Orchard!!! I may even have brunch after the big day(the server brought over the brunch menu for us to view and it looked like a must try!)

We have eaten at The Orchard twice and the food has been really good. First time we had the chicken sandwich for lunch, it was really good. They should put it on their dinner menu too. The second time we watched an OSU football game and had the burger special in the bar. Another good meal along with the Peach Martinis. Definitely give this place a try.
