There’s not a whole lot to see in Port Gamble’s main drag, so I definitely wasn’t expecting to find a world imports shop right across from the general store! Located on two floors of a cute historic building, Tango Zulu is packed with intriguing and affordable accessories, jewelry, soap, bags, baskets, and other handicrafts. I loved the striped cotton scarves with metallic threads($ 18), and the colorful ombré silk scarves from Thailand($ 20). They have fun handbags made from recycled billboards and packaging and some really cool fiber art pieced together from banana leaves into scenes with rhinos, leopards, and zebras($ 8)! There’s a selection of handmade scented soaps(local, I believe), traditional baskets, glass bead jewelry, carved figurines, and clothing. The staff are friendly and chatty, happy to help answer questions or look something up. There are tons of things to see on every shelf and table, so be prepared to spend some time here! You’ll find many lovely gifts and home décor items for very reasonable prices. I’d say this is a must-visit if you’re spending the day in Port Gamble.
