I love tiger lily for the art all around the walls and the different types of furniture. There is an outdoor seating area under an awning. I almost always get the country wrap with mozzarella cheese instead of blue cheese. The contrasting flavors come together so well. I’ve tried to make this wrap at home and it will never taste the same. There are so many different options and it’s really cool that there are so many different veggie options. The unfortunate part of coming to Tiger Lily is that it’s cash only, although there is an ATM. They seem to close pretty early, I’ve seen them close around 5PM in the summer time. The owner(or manager) never seemed too friendly, but it wouldn’t stop me from coming in because the two minute interaction with her doesn’t have an impact on the rest of my time here. It’s perfect for relaxing and feeling artsy :)

The best healthy food with great flavor. Manhattan meets Port Jeff… This has always been one of my fav places in Port Jeff. The balsamic roasted veggie wrap is to die for. The staff is always warm & friendly. Highly recommend.

If you are a vegetarian/vegan this place is for you! If you are not, they still have plenty of meaty sandwiches. It is a quirky and cozy place with outside seating and I have never been disappointed.

I remember stopping into this quaint spot for vegetarian lunch because it was one of the few I found within my walking distance(and because I loved the name). I had a wrap and tea — it was very good. I made my way to the back where they have a tiny wooden balcony-like with high benches to sit on. It was a nice afternoon. I would describe the décor as classy maroon velvet juxtaposed with the ’round the corner deli ambiance, but better. I’ve been meaning to stop by again when I’m in town.

Stopped by port Jefferson and decided to check out this place. We just got drinks. The cappuccino was good. I got the green dragon drink, which tasted very healthy. Just a tad bit pricey but that’s how they usually are. I we t on a Monday afternoon so there was a lot of places to sit. Good place to sit and hang out for a bit.

Very good. Nice atmosphere and décor. I got the sesame tofu cutlet wrap and it was delicious! The peanut sauce was good. Quick service. Just a note: it’s CASHONLY… make sure you have cash with you or you can use the ATM they have inside.

Tiger lily gets a big Thumbs up, down Port! It’s places like this, that make you wish you were a local, and lived there to experience it daily. The Tiger Lily Café, set in the charming backdrop of Port Jeff, is the kind of place that makes it seem it has always been there, and the town itself was built around this fantastic focal point. Although not on the main drag its one of port jeffs main attractions for me, I truly love it. My girlfriend finally got to check it out the other day and she really dug the vibe as well as the food. That always makes me happy. Wrap wise I don’t stray often from the roasted chicken, I’ve had others but this is really their golden child, sun dried tomato wrap and you’re set. Grab a couple other things you think look good because they most likely will be! Be it some risotto, soup, or a brownie or latte, I highly doubt you’ll be disappointed. It’s always an adventure to go down port and get into tiger lily. Great spot I’ve enjoyed for all the years since they’ve opened.

This place is awesome! For one I LOVE they fact that they offer VEGAN foods. It’s very hard to get that in my area. But tiger lily is the place! They offer juices, smoothies, large array of health foods, they also have some hardy foods to indulge in. The staff that works there is AMAZING! I go pretty much every week and enjoy numerous different foods they offer. You cannot go wrong with tiger lily. It’s such a beautiful place to eat in, very artistic, it’s so comfortable to be there. I HIGHLY recommend you give it a try!

Never leaves me disappointed, I probably go here once, twice or three times a week when I can. Vegan & vegetarian options are always great, good music, good vibes. The service is awesome, especially if you go often they remember how you like your stuff which is really sweet. Smoothies are great, all the treats are too, as well as their chai. Everything is good here, if you can go!

Peanut butter and banana warp with a whole wheat wrap was the most amazing lunch I’ve had in a while! I hate crunchy peanut butter but it tasted absolutely perfect in this wrap!!! I’m so happy this place has remained consistent with their food throughout the years

Visit Date: December 6, 2015 Hubby, MIL and I ducked into this café for a little rest and refreshment when we came to the Port Jefferson Dicken’s Festival. We just had some drinks. I had one of the steamers which was actually very nice. I am guessing that the steamers are just warmed steamed milk with flavored syrup inside. I requested the gingerbread steamer and the flavor was very nice. The gingerbread flavor was just enough. It wasn’t too overpowering but not so little that you couldn’t taste anything either. The décor is really lovely. It’s a mismatch of different furniture but it’s put together in just the right way that the café looks charming. My only complaint is the space. I’m sure it’s fine when there’s not many people in the café but when it’s bustling and you happen to have a seat be prepared for strangers to look over your seats to view parts of the menu on the wall, or for them to go to the self service coffee & tea section while you are sitting at a table near the area or to step around your seat to throw out some trash. I’m not a fan of strangers in my face so that’s the one aspect I didn’t like about this café.

Awesome! Rad! The bomb! The bees knees! Groovy! Whether you’re a millennial, boomer, gen Xer, or a member of the greatest generation, any of these superlatives apply to the Tiger Lily Café. Fantastic assortment of healthy lunch items and beverages, mouth-watering desserts to tempt you, and a funky vibe evoked by the art on display amid the colorful café tables.

Nice wraps good for vegans and vegetarians; place is cozy and casual, didn’t get to try their coffee because they stop making it and juices an hour before closing, have tried the tofu sesame and balsamic wraps, green juice, and wheatgrass shot… excellent!

Very fresh ingredients. I had the Shaharazade and added chicken. Only complaint I had was that there was an overwhelming amount of hummus on it. I had to take quite a bit out. Aside from that it was delicious and fresh! I plan on returning

The food here is great and it’s not just vegetarian although their vegetarian menu is quite extensive. This place is always busy which is a good sign and that being said, good luck finding a seat. This place is a gem for the area and you should definitely give it a try. The pricing is decent but they only accept cash(ATM in shop).

Tiger Lily’s is a really really great place to stop in for lunch. They have very artsy décor, which I believe is from local artists. whenever in town, I always stop by for their coffee which is always freshly brewed. Their wraps are super healthy and delicious. I love the cozy and overall feel of the place, the staff, and the product! Definitely would recommend!

They RAISEDTHEIRPRICES… AGAIN…and the portions are SHRINKING… BUT…one thing has not changed… the COLD to RUDE behavior on the part of the very unhappy, miserable counter women. I can tolerate the poorly mannered counter persons… but raising the prices again and shrinking the portions… SORRY…POORVALUEFORYOURMONEY… the limited hours of operation and the sameness of the menu year after year and cash only policy… i wouldn’t be surprised if they sell the place or close their doors. I hope a true vegetarian, emotionally healthy, warm, kind human being with their heart in the right place takes over this place. The BADVIBES of the staff has finally CREEPED into the food.

BEWAREOFRUDESTAFF! I used to go to SBU and frequently ate at Tiger Lily’s. I’m now in Westchester and make the trek all the way to Long Island to visit and grab a sandwich. Recently, I came down an hour and a half and my boyfriend and while I was ordering my food, one of the ladies realized my boyfriend had his own sandwich from outside place. She immediately told me he couldn’t eat in the café. This is mid-December so it was very cold. I was annoyed that we we’re allowed in the café or in the back on the deck, even though I had bought my lunch already and we were just 2 people. It was not crowded. So we left. Right outside the café there is a little table and we sat there to eat as we we’re allowed to inside. About 5 minutes later one of the owners(I assume) came out and said«YOUCANTEATHERE». She went on to ask why we thought we could eat here when we were told we weren’t allowed to in the café. She said that we were taking up seats that paying costumers could be sitting in. But I was a paying costumer! And it was the middle of December, NOONE was even waiting for a seat inside. She went on to ask if I even ‘came to her café’ that often and explained that it was bad for business to have us there. I wonder if we would have been kicked out if my boyfriend just wasn’t hungry. He would have been still taking up a seat! I am so upset with the horrible way I was treated as a costumer. I even told her that I had come down from Westchester specifically to eat at Tiger Lilly’s. I could understand if I had come in with 4 other people and a big pizza but I was on a lunch date with my boyfriend and not doing harm to anyone. The thought that I was taking up an outdoor seat in mid-December is ridiculous and caused quite a scene for passer-bys. I was extremely embarrassed. I will not be going back to Tiger Lily’s or ever suggesting it to anyone. Despite their tasty food, nothing puts me off more than establishments that are rude and unappreciative of their customers, loyal ones at that!

****Cool Spot for a Healthy Lunch in Port Jeff**** This is a nice place for lunch or a quick bite in Port Jeff. The sandwiches aren’t cheap, but I don’t think they are overpriced for the area considering they are filling enough for lunch. Pretty much everything I’ve had has been high quality, made in house or not. Definitely a fan of their crab cake sandwich. Despite the fact the interior décor is more artsy than your local neighborhood Applebees, Tiger Lily isn’t really all that laid back. The cashiers are not rude but can be up-front and fast-paced. So despite the eclectic interior, you don’t forget you are in Long Island. I wouldn’t really come here to study. Kind of annoying that they are cash only. FINALVERDICT: Solid spot for a quick lunch in Port Jeff.

Bohemian vibe to the fullest. It’s a sweet little gem of Port Jefferson Village. Their Wraps are always tasty. I just wish they would put more falafel in the felafel wrap. But it doesn’t seem to stop me from ordering it every time. The Chicken Caesar wrap is also a yummy wrap which my husband always seems to get. They have Lots of great vegetarian options as well as some vegan. *Don’t forget to get a shot of wheat grass

Update– I still love this place because of the atmopshere. Port Jeff/Long Island needs it, and I’m glad to have a place to go to. However last review I mentioned how the Havarti/Bacon sandwich was so great, and this review I am here to tell you I realized it felt microwaved. HUGE disappointment. How else could the cheese melt on the bun and the bun not be toasted at all? I then saw the microwave, and slowly realized that a lot of their stuff is NOT made in house, including their muffins/chocolates. Their falafels look bought as well. Especially when you compare it to an older photo where they DO look home made. All in all… some of the food is still«good»…but it’s upsetting that they don’t make a lot of it in house, especially since they portray an earthy, hip, local vibe. Alas, I will still go to this place for a coffee/smoothie or a microwaved sandwich or store bought muffin(marked up) just for the atmosphere.
