Best ice cream around, clean and everything is fresh.

I grew up somewhat close by so whenever my family comes to visit, we try to stop by. I used to love the dorkos(deep fried oreos) but every time I visit now they are completely raw in the center, rendering half the dessert inedible. Liquid waffle batter is pretty gross and the the flavor of the fryer oil is bitter and off putting. Fried oreos at a fair are fine dining compared to these. We also ordered sandwiches that tasted like cafeteria food. We paid an extra dollar each for french fries rather than chips and the amount of fries we were given was laughable and they were also undercooked. Definitly not worth $ 9. In addition, we went in and asked for mustard and ketchup. The owner dug behind the machine and pulled out obviously old and discolored packets. The mustard came out like brown play dough and the color of the ketchup when compared with bottled ketchup was incredibly dark. You have much better options close by!

This should really be a 1 rating for the raw chicken we were served. Bit into buffalo chicken and 95% of the piece was not cooked. My kid ate a piece not knowing it wasn’t cooked! The situation was not handled well at all. Bunch of kids working here with no management. Very disappointed. Was looking forward to trying this place for a long time. Prices are high like everyone said. Nothing comped, just a 5 buck certificate for«next time». gee thanks. It was worth less than the cost of the raw chicken and certainly less than the value of our health.

Great place for a laid back, casual dinner after a day on the river. I had a small pizza with onions. My dining companion had as chicken grilled cheese. Both were very good. Simple, fresh and tasty. We ended with two small sundaes. Mine was Oreo with caramel. Hers was coffee with hot fudge. Excellent ice cream. Rich and creamy, the way ice cream should be. Younger wait staff does an excellent job. Everyone we encountered was very nice. when we got the bill, I had to check it a couple of times. Under $ 24 and we left very satisfied. We would definitely go again. We sat inside because we were grooving on the décor(old fountain shop style) and the people watching. Next time, might try the outside right on the river.

Fast friendly service, even when busy, and they are usually busy. Prices high, but not the highest in the area. The outdoor seating and nearby riverside walkway is a large bonus.

Great location right on the river even though it’s diked here. Just a comfortable place to hang and enough selection and a wide enough space to accommodate a post paddling group.

Such a cute spot! I spent a weekend camping with friends in the Poconos and we stopped here on our way home after a long day of rafting. We sat inside and it was great. They have a lot of tables outdoors as well. The location is great as it is right on the river. Very cute. Any who — the ice cream… oh my the ice cream. They have a HUGE selection of different sundaes, milkshakes, waffles, splits you can choose from. I mean really, you name it, they have it. We ordered a bunch of different bits, mostly various sundaes. I love me a good brownie sundae. They were SOBIG haha honestly they goblets were larger that my head. It was hilarious. The ice cream was delicious and there was nothing more we could have wanted. A winning choice! I hope to stop by again next summer after more camping fun. :D

A little pricey. Lots of choices. Ice cream was delicious. Waffle cones were tasty. We sat outside overlooking the Delaware — Great View! Riverside Creamery interior is much more nicely done than the outside. Nifty.

Clean, quaint, and good ice cream. What a nice surprise. Right on the riverfront, with picnic tables out back — and an old fashion ice cream parlor feel inside. Razz berry Sunday — regular size — was huge. Friendly service too.

We’ve lived in the area for 34 years and for some reason we had never stopped here before. Our daughter mentioned going here recently and said how good their ice cream was, so tonight while we were out, hubby and I decided to stop. Rest assured we will be going back regularly from now on. I had the Bocci Ball tonight(I think that was the name — it was great!) and there are other things on the menu I’m anxious to try. What a great place! I highly recommend it.

We have gone through Port Jervis many times and passed by Riverside Creamery every time without even giving this place a second look. I have to say, our bad! What were we thinking? A few people have mentioned this place to us and asked if we ever tried it so we were determined to stop by and try this place. I thought it was a regular ice cream place, but boy was I so wrong. When we first walked in you instantly get hit in the face with a wonderful yummy smell, sort of like a chocolate, light fried pastry smell. Its hard to explain all I know was it was very welcoming. The place had a large old school counter and some tables and it was just packed. They had a pretty big menu which I glanced though pretty quickly and zoned directly toward their ice cream selections. There were so many different flavors to choose from. There were sundaes, shakes, floats, plus more. It was a bit overwhelming, and after going through the menu about five times including reading some of the Unilocal recommendations. I selected their fried ice cream and I have to say that was the absolute best choice. It was vanilla ice cream size of a large softball dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried. When it came to the table it looked and smelled delicious. I couldn’t decide if I was going to eat it with a fork or spoon. At first I opted for the fork just to break a part of the yummy coating open, then I took the spoon to scoop up the perfect first bite. The outer coating was so warm light and crispy combined with the ice cream in the center was fantastic. It was one of those bites that you close your eyes to savor the flavor. I only wanted to sit in silence to enjoy this amazing concoction. I have to say that this is really one of my favorite new place to come and just enjoy having ice cream.

Cute old parlor for ice cream & simple foods like paninis. Lots of ice cream choices. A little pricey. And when it’s busy, my ice cream usually melts because they use glasses right from the dishwasher. I told them about it and they did nothing. But I do love going here for a sundae!

Came just for desserts. So many ice cream flavor choices! Kids loves the old fashioned theme with music from jukebox. Everyone loved their ice cream concoctions and floats!

Slightly pricey($ 9 for a sundae and a scoop) but definitely above-average artisan ice cream type stuff. They also do diner-ish stuff like hot dogs as well as an assortment of fried things on sticks — I can’t vouch for any of that yet as I’ve not tried it. It’s a really nice throwbacky place though, and the ice cream’s great. I’ll happily go back.

A cruel, cruel coworker took me here in the midst of my Atkins phase. Did I say cruel? I meant awesome. I didn’t let him cajole me into going for the full monty fried ice cream, but I did get a tasty espresso frozen yogurt with their delicious hot fudge… yum! When I didn’t finish the yogurt, the man behind the counter seemed concerned that I didn’t like it, but I assured him that I just filled up on the hot fudge. Now that Atkins is a thing of the past, I’ll go back at some point for the famous fried ice cream.

It’s cute and old-timey. If you want a sundae with all sorts of things on it, you’ll find it here. I don’t think the price is justified because their ice cream is not made in-house.

I have to agree with the other person(Joe) who wrote a review on this place. The ice cream is good. But expensive. They make their own fudge there if your a fan of that. It is really a nice place to go once in a while but not every day. Its what you call an old fashioned ice cream palor. Its nice on the inside.

I absolutely love this place. The inside reminds me an old ice cream parlor for the ‘50s, and the ice cream is great. They serve Perry’s hard ice cream if I remember correctly, and their sundaes are to die for. They’re a little pricy, but what I go there for is the Deep Fried Ice Cream. It’s basically a block of ice cream deep fried in pancake or waffle batter. The inside stays cold during the process too, which is awesome! Cover that in fudge and powdered sugar and you’re all set :) The Riverside Creamery is definitely a Port Jervis Icon.

After having dinner nearby, we were in the mood for some ice cream with the kids. Our friend who lives in town brought us to this place. An old fashioned ice cream parlor restored from days gone by. The ice cream is good though not great. The prices were a little on the high side. Overall it was nice and I appreciate the atmosphere however with 4 kids, I’ll have to find a less expensive place.
