This place has cakes, chocolates, breakfast brioche, cookies, coffee and ice cream. I think most people will find something here they like! I have been here several times, most recently to get a slice of the Brooklyn Blackout cake — the most moist and chocolatey cake I’ve had the pleasure of finding in a long time! I’ve also enjoyed the ice cream sundaes, there are many super interesting flavors. The staff are very friendly. Usually the store owner is there — you will have no trouble finding out details about menu items. Also they’re great at helping you find what you’re looking for — there are so many options. I would say this store is one of the port orchard’s finest small businesses.

We enjoyed 2 fresh out of the oven cookies and coffee here today. The peanut butter cookie was perfect. Soft, and delicious with whole peanuts and a great blend of sweet and just a hint of salty. The dark chocolate cookie was fantastic too. And they were only $ 1 each. The coffee was good the service was attentive and it is really convenient to just walk in from walking along the waterfront. We will definitely come back.

If you have a love for artisan chocolates and handmade ice cream, be forewarned before trying Carter’s. Because you will find yourself coming back far too often(: Their dark chocolate turtles are to die for. Pecans, dark chocolate and I want to say a hint of sea salt. Truly the best chocolate I’ve. Ever. Had. Their ice creams are also spectacular and they are constantly brining in new favors. I love the hippie magic and sorbets. What a treat having them in the Port Orchard Public market. Definitely the place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Took the foot ferry over to Port Orchard for the first time. We didn’t have any plans so we were just wandering around when we decided we wanted some ice cream. Luckily, Carter’s Chocolates delivered. It is a little hard to find at first since it is located in the back corner of an area with a bunch of shops. When I walked up to the counter, I found that the employee working at the time was extremely helpful. He was able to recommend some great homemade ice cream. We ordered a large cone with caramel ice cream on the bottom and whiskey ice cream on the top. The caramel was good(don’t get me wrong), but MAN that whiskey ice cream was super delicious. Perfect blend of caramel with just a hint of liquor. I would highly recommend it. They also have a bacon caramel ice cream that I want to try next time as the woman who ordered it while I was there said it was really good. While their ice cream is close to five stars, their chocolates were more in the 3 star range. I got the salted caramel($ 2), as well as a champagne chocolate($ 1) and a pike place brewery chocolate($ 1). All were pretty good, but nothing spectacular or amazing. Maybe they should switch their name to Carter’s Homemade Ice Cream? Finally, I’m not sure what to make of the prices. While the cone was huge, two scoops for $ 6(the large) seemed a little expensive, but maybe that is just me? Judging by some of the other reviewers, though, I doubt it. In sum, skip the chocolate and try the ice cream! If you’re not sure what to get, ask for a sample :)

You just can’t turn down a place with ice creams like gorgonzola, hippie magick, and caramel & caramel. I started out with the itch to get ice cream but on a 90 degree day, opted for the root beer instead. Awesome dude at counter suggests that instead of dairy on a sweltering day that I get something more refreshing. He whips me up an orange mango soda with coconut sorbet. He enlightened my entire day.

I can only write on behalf of the homemade ice cream. I’m Always a sucker for homemade ice cream! After moving to the Silverdale area from Seattle I haven’t been able to fulfill my Molly Moons craving… until now. I love that they have all the different creative flavors. I got a sample of gorgonzola something and it was surprisingly better then I thought. I wish they had the little wooden sample sticks, I feel bad trying flavors when I actually had to use a spoon. I ended up going with peppermint chip and coffee chip. It was delicious! The worker was friendly and I found out it was his first day on his own. Good job! $ 4.50+ tax is a little steep but its a pretty big scoop I was able to share with my husband. They have a beautiful new space so I think it’s worth it plus you’re supporting a local business. Taking away one star cause they don’t make their own waffle cones and the wrapper was stuck to my cone!

Carter’s Chocolates has it all! Their Ice Cream is the best. Creamy, crunchy, milk/dark, salty, spicy, and you can get it with BACON! We love it all. A great place to take the family when they come in to town, or the kids out for a treat.

I have been a fan of Carter’s for a long time. I love love love their new place. The quality and unique favors is amazing. The only thing I don’t like is prices. They need some kid prices because ice cream for my two kids… the smallest thing on the menu… Cost me $ 13…so I prob won’t go their again unfortunately.

After suffering a rude experience at the candy shop down the street, we stopped in to the Port Orchard Public Market and ordered some sweet treats from Carter’s. What they lack in ambience, they make up for in quality and good selection. The kids had Thomas Kemper root beer floats, and the Chocolate Chunk ice cream was so creamy and decadent. There were several other flavors we will have to try the next time our travels are in the area.
