I just moved into the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and thought I would try Charlie’s for lunch. It doesn’t look like anything special on the outside but it is clean and pleasant inside. I had the chicken ramen and it was exceptional. Also, the homemade kimchee was a perfect compliment. The prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff friendly and attentive. It is clearly a local favorite for those who are in the know. I love Korean food, and there are a few Korean dishes, but there are lots of traditional American classics as well. My wife had the egg salad sandwich and proclaimed it good. They serve breakfast all day, too. Closed on Mondays. I want to go back and try the Bulgoghi.

We go to Charlies frequently after discovering it. Wow, I can honestly say I’ve never had a meal I didn’t like there. Attentive to your order(my wifes a vege), always easy. They have an early bird special that is a smaller portion and a regular menu with a larger portion both on the menu(you need to specify). No fancy but good food — I’ve been to many fancy places(chains) with bad food. Friendly, local & good — We recommend this place!

We came here for breakfast. At first glance, I didn’t expect much. It’s a hole-in-the-wall place, attached to a gas station. The interior is not much, but they make up for it with excellent service and even better food! I got the Loco Moco which is rice, gravy, a burger patty, and over easy egg on top. It was phenomenal! I would have preferred a little less gravy, but I can always ask next time. My boyfriend got the Country Fried Steak. That was fabulous too! The breading and gravy was perfect. Besides the food, I was really happy that they had an array of magazines in the back. Weird, right? No! You don’t even notice how long you’ve been waiting when you’re looking through a magazine and talking about it with company. I’d take that over staring at a screen. All in all, I am very impressed, and will probably go here for the Country Fried Steak next time.

This is adequate food. There are a couple confusing issues. 1. The menu has«Early Bird» pricing, yet there is no description of the required early bird criteria. We(the wife and I) unknowingly walked in 20 minutes before the 8:00am opening time, as listed on the menu. We ordered meals that were listed on the«Early Bird’ section, but were charged at the regular prices. A $ 2 difference, for each meal. 2. The Asian lady that took our order and I am certain cooked it, did not catch two things, in my order. I asked for orange juice with no ice. I received orange juice with ice. I asked for eggs scrambled hard. She repeated«scrambled eggs». My eggs were cooked regular. Language barrier? The service was a little slow. We were the only customers until 7:55. This may be because the waitress was also the cook. The food was average tasting, but for $ 7.99 we received eggs, hashbrowns or french toast(3 slices) and 4 slices of bacon. We went due to the high Unilocal reviews. Not sure how they came to their conclusions, but we probably won’t return.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. I got General Tso’s chicken and it was bombarded with sauce. The fried rice was over peppered and the peas and carrots in it were a day old. I will never go there again. The orange chicken was the same.

Stopped in today for breakfast for the first time. Pretty darn good. Had ham and eggs(over medium), hashbrowns, with sourdough toast. Eggs were perfect, even seasoned a little before hit the table! A perfect portion of ham, not to thick and certainly not thin. The hashbrowns were fine(I usually don’t eat them anyway). Toast was toast. I have been to Charlie’s a handful of other times for lunch… the service is constantly good and friendly. Dishes are the right sizes for the prices. Nice small, quiet, local restaurant. The dishes range in variety from French dips to teriyaki. Something really for everyone!

Drove by here a couple times in the past and never stopped… a hidden little hole in the while type place, and from what had today, the food is amazing! Had a GREAT breakfast… I loved the biscuits and gravy and hubby loved his omelet that had everything in it! We’ll be back, with the kids next time!

This is a small place tucked between a repair shop and a small store, she has been cooking food here for years; the food ranges from burgers to teriyaki and the portions are good for the price, tasty too! There is limited seating; cozy little tables. Breakfast is, well in my opinion pretty darn good for the money!
