Haven’t been here for a long time for dinner because of past quality of the food! Tonight was a lovely surprise! The food was hot, fresh and the meat moist! Will come back!

Great food, attentive service. Only giving it four stars because it was reeeeeally cold in there. So cold we didn’t take off our coats and hurried to eat so we could leave and crank up the heat in the car(it was 53 degrees out which isn’t very cold!). But with that said, if the only complaint you have is how cold the place is, it must be pretty damn good! I had the Bleu cheese wedge salad, it was fresh and crisp. The bacon crumbles were quality and the tomatoes were ripe and red. My husband had the daily special which was Beef Stroganoff. Everything was cooked well, the beef was tender and the noodles were great. We’ll definitely be back to this quiet little gem.

I’m beginning to take a different view of this place… something is going on here because it has really gone downhill recently in our opinion — First of all, most customers will have drive a decent distance to come here. secondly, any suggestions or mild complaints are met with indifference. Yesterday we went in for dinner at 3:45 — the waitress told us she would put our order in at 4:00& pointed out on the menu that dinner didn’t start until then !!! I ordered a flat iron steak because it has always been good(w/carmelized onions and button mushrooms).it showed up w/o the onions & shrooms. which changes the flavor quite a bit. Was told they had a new cook & the waitress hadn’t noticed ! We were there a few weeks ago and they were out of the flat iron AND the rib eye steaks — we left that day ! A few weeks ago we went in for late lunch and witnessed some kind of argument going on by employees by the kitchen — I went back and asked why we had to listen to this and got an apology ! We like to have correct meals and no drama — we drive 12 miles R/T to eat here, but those days are coming to a close — too bad because I have always kinda enjoyed the place ! At this rate, how have they been around so long ?!

Three stars seems pretty accurate. Tried to order at the fish and chips window but no one was tending to it, so we sat at the restaurant. Service was friendly but not especially quick, even on a slow day. Gave us a chance to really take in the view though. Great sight of the Seattle skyline. Had the fish and chips and they were nice enough to split the order for us on two plates. While the view and the servers were nice, I didn’t think the meal itself was anything to note. Will probably skip this place for fish and chips — but may try again on a nice day just for the view.

Excellent clam chowder, onion rings, and steamers. Blah prime rib«special» for $ 17. I’ve had lots better. Awful blackberry cobbler. Terrible crust. Don’t recommend. Try The Boat Shed instead

This review is for the Fish Hut that just opened. The staff was super friendly and the food was really fast. My husband said it was one of the best calamari baskets he had ever had. Would have given it five stars but really thought that the prices on the ice cream sandwiches were too high.

We stopped by at this café to wait out a storm. The waitress was excellent and held a great conversation. We received our food quickly. We ordered some amazing hot chocolate(with whipped cream!), along with cheesecake and cobbler. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend this café to anyone on the peninsula!

Wow. Came on a Sunday at about 7PM. Almost no customers. But the hostess was nowhere to be seen. After waiting several minutes without a greeting, peeked into the bar area to see if anyone was working. The hostess appeared. And said, loudly, in front of bar patrons and staff: «You need to wait to be seated!» What a lovely welcome. With the same amount of energy, she could have said, «How many? Right this way.» And led us to a table. Instead she chose to be really unprofessional. How does someone like that get hired for a hospitality job? And how does she handle things when they are actually busy? This was my first time here. But I can’t imagine going back to a place that is so disrespectful to customers.(And does this hostess act like this when the owners are around?) BADWORDOFMOUTHSPREADS. And right now, I’m telling everyone I meet that Manchester Grill sucks.

Great food atmosphere and service. We usually sit outside on the deck during the summer months.

We’ve recently moved into the local area and wanted an easy to get to place to go for a pizza. We were at the Manchester State Park and decided to give MG a try. We asked for more sauce and less cheese and oh my. .the pizza was excellent. And, the view when sitting out under cover is good too! I will say one day we went just wanting aptzrs and beer… it doesn’t appear to be something they have… at least it wasn’t on the menu. The wait staff is hit or miss… we’ve had a great waitress and we’ve had one we didn’t care for. We ordered a salad and asked it come before the pizza. She brought both together and claimed she«forgot». She also forgot our eating utinsels and napkins… we had to ask for them while our pizza got cold(hence our reason for asking for the salad first), and then we had to ask once again… ummmm. Needless to say, she got way less tip than our usual which is normally 18– 20%! oh well… her loss. They could do better with training their wait staff; having great customer service is important! Other than pizza, I can’t speak to the rest of the menu.

Food was pretty good. Had the prime rib special and chowder. Unfortunately, the service was HORRIBLE! Looks like they were shocked that it was going to be busy on a Friday night. Waited forever for our soup and there was no silverware or napkins on the table. Had to wait twice for drink refills.

Four of us went last night(Friday) for dinner. It’s been maybe a year since our last visit. Found they have remodeled the dining room a bit. Looks very nice. We all ordered different items. I had fried chicken. Found it was a tad over cooked and I am amazed at where they can find such SMALL chickens! The pieces looked like the might have come off a Cornish hen. Side of broccoli is cooked well but hss ZERO seasoning of any kind. DH had steak tips w/mushrooms and mashed potatoes. It was VERY good. Friends had a Captains platter and cod & chips(they were out of Halibut) and they liked their meals as well. One thing missing: In the past, we always got a big fat, soft, homemade dinner roll w/dinner. No mre… Missed that. The server was five star; friendly, fast, smiled! BUT she didn’t know the WiFi password. HUH? LOL We were surprised to see how few customers were there. Maybe everyone is saving their $$ for Christmas shopping. Bottom line, will likely go again. The place is so comfortable and menu has lots to offer(except the Halibut).

The Manchestet Grill is a down home, casual restaurant with an outstanding view of Puget Sound from its main dining room. There’s outside tables and to-go orders can be taken over to small Manchester Municipal Park a block away, next to the municipal dock, for a picnic on the Puget Sound! Food Both our salmon were firm, seasoned nicely, grilled well. The steamed, fresh green beans were tender and had nice browning to them. They were a substitute for the vegetable medley listed on the menu. The rice pilaf though, tasted like something off a cafeteria steam table, salty in taste and otherwise lacking flavor. I don’t remember anything of the salad that was served. Cost was very reasonable at $ 12.95 for each meal. Service Our server appeared to be new to her job as questions about gluten and dairy generated trips to the kitchen to find answers. We did appreciate the effort though. She was enthusiastic and tried hard. This restaurant came highly recommended and I can see where it can be consistent in the entrees. The rice is a simple side but it does fill up a third of the plate, so it needs to be given more serious consideration. I would return to give it another try.

The only good thing was the view and friendly staff. Wait was long and food was no tasty at all. I’ve had better food at a gas station.

Taking a drive along the waterfront from Port Orchard, we ended up in Manchester. Deciding to have lunch at the Manchester Grill after seeing the 1st Unilocal review was a good call. We walked in past the indoor«outside» picnic tables with great views of the harbor to the entrance. The inside looked nice though there was no real stand. We chose to sit outside and ordered. The fresh Vidalia onion rings mentioned in the previous review were awesome. Fresh and very tasty. We ordered the Manchester Dip which was great. The other dish was calamari strips were not fresh but frozen before being dropped. You can tell in the crispness. The service was friendly though a bit slow and scattered at times. I’d would go back to the Manchester Grill.

Out for a drive from Tacoma and stopped here for lunch. Loved the fact we could sit out on picnic tables on the porch, although it would be nice to sit outside as it was a lovely sunny day. THRILLED with the Vidalia onion rings! These are the best we have had on the west coast as most places do not know how to make them with batter like this! Had two servings they were so good! We will definitely be back because we had sweet potato fries as well and clam strips, and the atmosphere was a delight and out waitress a gem. It was our«Clam Haven» of the west coast.
