Very nice clean and good Turkish food in Port Washington. Friendly staff. Good fresh, big plates. Well grilled meats not too dry and nice sides. We do feel that it’s a touch expensive for Turkish as compared to our experiences in Sunnyside at Mangal and Turkish Grill. I guess that’s Strong Island for you. Anyway still it’s very good and recommended if you are in the area.

A fantastic dining experience! Our meal was a complete blur, starting from the lavas hollow bread and ending with the Baklava. The bread was warm, light and seasoned well. We both had a variety of the Adana chicken/kebab and it was DELICIOUS! Perfectly seasoned and juicy, with well spiced sides and salads to accompany. The Baklava, although tasty was not the best I’ve had. Definitely will be coming back and highly recommend!

Rude, inattentive service! Waiter forgot to bring a main coarse we ordered. Hummus was good, salad was ok.

Quite possibly the best falafel sandwich I have ever had. Staff is attentive, and the food is fresh and really flavorful. Prices for lunch are very reasonable

Simply Amazing food! The puffy bread is my FAVE! I ate sooo much I couldn’t even get up to go home! The staff is super approachable and friendly. It’s definitely pricy but definitely worth it.

Quaint neighborhood restaurant in a modern setting. Food was very tasty and had that homemade taste. You could taste all the fresh herbs and spices and were never overpowering. Nice change from the«usual». Definitely try it!

Food is great, every one is so friendly. We had late lunch outside. We had apple tea, shish kebab,(it comes with rice, vegetables). The hollow bread is so fun.

This place is phenomenal. Every time I have eaten there the food has mastered every aspect of savorieness, juiciness, freshness, and all other mediteranian food related adjectives and superlatives. Go for the mixed plate if you are sharing– it owes every type of meat staggeringly well. Cheers, Adam

The service is attentive, the food is ridiculously delicious and the desserts… oh, my… we ordered seconds. For appetizers we ordered the Feta cheese cigars(4 in an order), the Hummus(we are very particular about this dip) is freshly made from important chick peas served with hot bread… It was magnificent, Falafel balls(6 per order) were served with a fantastic Tahini dip. We ordered chicken in yogurt over rich sauce immersed nuggets of bread; it was outstanding. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and grilled, the feta cheese Pide is large and yummy. Do yourself a favor and stay for dessert, you will not regret. Definitely going back on a regular basis.

Definitely coming back. One of the better gyro sandwiches I’ve had. Anxious to try the rest of the menu.

Full house, this little spot has a large Turkish/Arabic clientele that makes it exciting and vibrant. The food is great the service amicable and yet a bit slow so there I nipped a star. If it’s a nice evening sit outside or reserve on opentable. I won’t recommend any particular dish just make sure you try a bit of every ugh you can.

Such a worthy place to cheat! OMG! ALL the food is authentic and freshly made — no doubts. Deserts are ‘off the wall’ amazing — too good! Chocolate baklava has to be illegal :):):) cause my boyfriend and I can’t get enough: P The staff and management are so friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Had Sunday brunch with a girlfriend here. It’s a cute place not too far into Port Washington, and they have outdoor seating, so that’s fun. Their menu isn’t that varied, so we had trouble picking. I got the lamb omelette and it was delicious. I just wish it had some other things in it because it’s just lamb and cheese, and after a few bites, that got boring. Friend got the Soujuk; she didn’t seem that happy! She said it was too oily. Also, their iced coffees are extremely watered down so that was no bueno. Still, I’d return to give the gyro a try. $ 20 min on credit card. Service was friendly but maybe a little too friendly, but probably because the place was empty when we were here.

So babysitting on a Saturday night left me to order delivery from this Mediterranean restaurant. Asked for lamb kebab(total was $ 20.95, not including tip). The lamb was marinated and cooked to perfection! Huge portion of rice, red cabbage pickles, and onion. Got a ¼ slice of grilled tomato and pepper(warning: avoid the pepper. My mouth was burning from how spicy it was). Will definitely go to eat-in and try something new.

Nothing short of fantastic. Gyro done a way most of us unfamiliar with. Much like a toasted pocket of bread with the white sauce on the side. Just delicious. Get the hollow bread to start it off. And the baklava to end. Service is wonderful. Eat outside /inside. Great for a quick lunch.

Bosphorus continues to impress, food is always fresh and delicious, service always with a smile. Ground chicken(either entrée or sandwich) is divine. Mixed appetizer plate and holllow bread, just those two could be dinner for two. Love this place.

Service was great-Lara helped us out and answered all of our questions Atmosphere was comfy and lots of seating. Actually more than I expected. Food was good. We had the chicken shish with yogurt. I recommend splitting between two. Large portions! Also tried the Turkish coffee. Never had it before. Has a very earthy taste to it. Comes with a stirrer with a Turkish delight on the end. Definitely will visit again and trying more menu items.

Bought a Unilocal deal(Which is $ 5.000ff better than nothing). Fresh ingredients. Nice staff and portions were average. — The Hollow Bread(Freshly made) — Sampler appetizer(5 selections of mini tasting) My fave was babaganoush and Hummus. The Kebab selections were pretty good, tasty, well marinated and perfectly cooked. The portions that comes with vegetables and rice were small, We told the manager to add a bit more of Rice to balance out the meal. He also offered a great Flan and Baklava. Fresh hot tea aroma and tasty. Staff is super friendly, But sometimes they are too busy that can’t handle 30 tables all at once(depending how many staff they have). I would come back again for their fresh home made food.

Really impressed by this place for lunch. I came today for the first time and had the appetizer sampler(pictured) with the recommended bread. Everything was really delicious and the servers were beyond pleasant and helpful. I had such a nice lunch here I truly cannot wait to go back. They also have a decent section in the front for outdoor seating. A lot of lunch fish specials were only around $ 12 – 15. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!
