Probably the best Italian food in port. The thin crust pizza is fire and they have the best Penne Alla vodka

This has to be my favorite Italian restaurant so far! Hands down! They alway make their dishes fresh. Even some of their homemade pasta! What a gem!

Ate here last night. Pretty good food and a nice atmosphere. We came in without a reservation and were looking for a table of 8. I’d return for a weeknight dinner… probably not a spot that I’d look to eat at on a Sat night but overall a good experience.

This restaurant sucks! Smells really bad there. The man who has white hair who runs the business is very rude. He has no clue how to run a business. I will never come back to this place again

If you’re looking for great food at a great price then look no further. Always go for their specials as they have what’s fresh not what’s leftover.

A little surprised that the Unilocal community doesn’t embrace Pepe Rosso. Taken in context(neighborhood italian restaurant), Rosso is surely above average. Food: Salads are always fresh, crisp and delicious, no wilted lettuce here. Pasta is served al dente and piping hot. Pizza, regular and thin crust are pretty good, thin crust is crispy and delish, slices hold up to toppings without going limp. Service: Wait staff is always great when eating in, and very accomodating for our 10 month old(since he was about 2 months). Delivery is very prompt and their drivers are super friendly. Pro Tip — join their rewards club, they regularly send out 15% off coupons to use on pickup and delivery orders, $ 1 spend = 1 point, 150 pts = $ 10 off coupon. They have their own app for mobile ordering.

I just had dinner here for the first time tonight. Everything was very delicious. I ordered the chicken wings appetizer, thin-crust pizza, and the veal for main course, which came with ravioli with mushrooms in an amazing brown sauce with truffle oil. The sangria was the best I’ve had since visiting Spain. This was real sangria! Perfect for summer time. Looking forward to going back.

I give this place 2 stars because their desserts/gelatos are decent. I’m not sure if the food is better when you dine in, but take out/delivery is gross. I’ve given this place several chances, because I really want to like it. It is so close to home and I love Italian food. But I am finally done. Garlic bread was hard as a rock– literally! Chicken parm was had no flavor and chicken was grisly and gross. Personal pies are also so sloppy that all of the cheese and toppings drip right off. Shrimp and avacado wrap was not even edible. The shrimps were not fresh– canned or frozen sliminess

Pepe Rosso was my go to pizzeria. Unfortunately with the opening of their uptown story, it appears that they are staffing their Manorhaven store with 2nd and 3rd rate help. The past five pizzas I ordered were alas, terrible. What was once my number one go to place for Pizza, in Port Washington, has dropped off my list. The past 5 pizzas I have ordered have been all but uniform. Perhaps with their opening their uptown restaurant, they have assigned their 2nd or perhaps 3rd team to Manorhaven. One was burned, one he had little cheese on it, another had raw crust, etc. Worst of all, they have been unresponsive to my complaints. After one particularity bad pizza, I wet back to the store to speak with with the manager. No one knew where he was. i asked that he call me, which never happened. Time to move on. Thankfully there is choice and competition.

Wow! I walked into this Italian restaurant and I already learned a few words, that’s pretty amazing! How did we miss this restaurant? Only this year my husband and I started taking our dog to the dog park on the same boulevard and we passed this restaurant and noticed it. We’re not here all year round, only in the summer to spend time on the boat on weekends. We usually went the other way to dine. Finally we got to try it. Let me tell all of you that it won’t be our last visit because we’ll be coming back to try more dishes. First let’s talk about the service. It’s very accommodating. They sat us at a corner table. First impression of first time here is «perfecto»! The soonest we were seated, water and bread basket were served. When we don’t have to ask for basic stuff, we know who we’re dealing with — the professionals. Then our waiter came within 2 mins to get the order. And he didn’t forget to bring our drink first while waiting for the food! Then here comes the first meal appetizer hot antipasto, «delizioso»! Not long after that, our entrees of the night — black linguini with seafood and my husband had thin crust pizza — «fantastico»! Thin crust pizza is extremely crust and thin, no kidding! They really know how to make it. I’d suggest to try this with other meal you plan to order because this is a «must-try» pizza. My seafood pasta is one of the best meals! I finished them all. The place is very cozy and quite romantic. It’s fine dining, so everything is fine here *:) Before leaving the restaurant, we had a chance to speak with the owner and his son. It was nice to meet the owner of the restaurant on our first night there. So we know they’re available and reachable to attend to their customers. Also on the way out I saw the pretty and colorful ice-creams section(that my husband is not allowed to have) *:) According to the owner, espresso flavor is people’s favorite. I’ll try that next time. Highly recommended to young and old! Ciao! *:]

I came here last evening for a business meeting. Service was friendly and the food was good. They have an interesting choice of salads, and on a hot summers night it was a good thing. I really want to come back on a personal level when I can really relax and try out some of their other dishes.

Went for lasagna and a salad. The chicken in the salad was gristly and gross and the oil on the table was rancid. Husbands lasagna was not good. Bad food, very disappointing.

I honestly believe Port Washington has one too many pizzerias, but if they can deliver some great pizza, more power to them. This is the case with Pepe Rosso. From the time they’ve opened their doors on Manorhaven Blvd. they have yet to disappoint me. Their pizza is cooked to near perfection as the crust is soft without being rubbery. The sauce is flavorful and not tangy. I love their chicken parmesan pasta dinner as the chicken is cooked nicely with the crust being crispy, yet the chicken is tender and juicy. I opt for the Arrabiata sauce to kick it up a notch. Whether dining in or picking up, this place is worth checking out, if you haven’t already.

This place is very hit or miss for me. I’ve been about 4 times(2 with prior management, 2 with current management) and I just can’t get into it. The waitstaff was rude to me both times I came here with my boyfriend(as oppose to my older, father) and the food just isn’t good enough to deal with the service. I remember their fried zucchini was good(although very greasy. but it is fried), but their chicken was tough. Pecan pie was good too, but nothing I haven’t had 100 times. Not bad, just not memorable.

We’ve ordered from here several times and it’s always very good. The rice balls are delicious and both the plain and vegetable pizzas are very good(this from friends visiting from Manhattan, and you know they’ve had good pizza) Just placed an order for stuffed veggie pizza, a salad and chicken parm for tonight– assume they were tasty too, unless I come back to say otherwise!

When it comes to ordering a pie or picking up a slice, I have always been down for this place. But the reason I came here is the service that I have had inside the restaurant. I’ve been coming here for quite a while. At first the service was great. But lately it has been very lackluster. Months ago a friend and I went to go there to eat. We had ate there previously and were eager to back for another meal. It was a Friday night at about 5:30. We asked for a table and they asked if we had a reservation. We did not &, while the dining room was not even half fun, we were refused service. The fact that they were fully booked was fine, it is great for their business. It was more of the attitude we got from the host that was was unacceptable. There was no sympathy or perhaps an option to sit in the smaller pizza area. It was basically«tough sh*t, better luck next time» Today was a beautiful day and that same friend & I thought eating outside would be great. We decided to hit up Pepe Rosso for lunch since they have a couple tables outside. My friend’s stomach doesn’t handle cheese very well, so when she ordered her pizza, she requested to have very little cheese on it. When it arrived, it was covered in parmesan cheese… which was not listed on the menu as on the pie. We called over the waiter and said that there was cheese all over it and she couldn’t eat it. When the waiter went inside, we heard some yelling going on inside. He popped his head back out and said that he told them to put no cheese on it at all. When another gentleman brought out the pizza, it had half as many toppings on it as before(there was barely any prosciutto when before it was plentiful). Also it was covered in cheese once again, this time mozzarella. It lined the entire bottom & was on the top over the toppings. This was clearly a «F– You» from the chef. My friend tried to eat it, but could barely get through half after dissecting each piece. The waiter didn’t seem concerned that there was so much left on her plate. For a place I have ate so many times before, this last experience makes me never want to eat there again… be it for a slice or for a full meal with friends.
