Put a simple order in for a pie 20m ago, guy who picked up the phone seemed distracted… Was told 15 min it’d be ready. Hubs walks in to pickup pie and they were just getting started on it — 5m after it was supposed to be ready. The guy he talked to was unapologetic(assuming same distracted guy). I don’t care if the food is great, without the service, it’s not worth waiting for…

Not a fan of their pizza too much. I do like their tomato sauce but that is really it. They are on the pricier side of port Washington pizza as well. They have a large parking area in the back so that’s helpful. My previous interactions with the employees have been fine

Only been here twice so far, but the chicken bacon ranch pizza is amazing. Everything else they have looks equally as good. Added a few garlic knots and they are some of the best I’ve had.

Stopped in today for some lunch since my mom is recovering at a nearby rehabilitation facility. I am so happy I decided to do so. The pizza is cooked just right, with high quality cheese and the sauce is not overpowering. I used to work in a pizzeria as a kid in college, so I know quality when I see it. I also had a chicken parmesan hero, which was also excellent. Everyone working was very nice, and friendly. Everything in there was spotless. I look forward eating there again.

Excellent pizza with plenty of cheese. After a long ride home from North Carolina to New Jersey, and then to the animal shelter this was a pleasant lunch.

In my opinion it is the best pizza in town. I have tried every other place before Rosa’s even opened years ago but now I will only go to Rosa’s. And it is opened late which is a plus for Port Washington since everything else closes way too early.

Got the yummy spinich, margarita slices. Tasted fresh out of the oven. Plenty of seating, convenient location, ample parking.

The best grandma pizza on Long Island by far. Even though every pizza place on Long Island now makes grandma pizza, most of them don’t get it right. I drive 30 miles out of my way several times per week just to get slices of Rosa’s grandma. The dough is thin and light, the plentiful sauce is rich, sweet and flavorful and they put just enough garlic, fresh basil, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top. Their pizza reminds me of the homemade pie my Sicilian grandmother used to make when I was a kid. The only other place that comes close to their grandma is Umberto’s, Brooklyn Pizza in Commack and Emilio’s. But Rosa’s is still superior. The guys who work behind the counter are also very friendly and attentive. The only other food I had there was the mozzarella sticks and they were also delicious!

A little pricey for my taste but it’s a good pizzeria. Their buffalo chicken slice is off the hook and absolutely wholesome! They were also very nice enough to create a heart shaped pizza at our request for Valentines — A+ for superb customer service.

This place’s location is perfect for Port Washington residents, since it’s right in front of the LIRR station and on Main St. The workers like to talk to you if you start a conversation so it’s pretty easy to get close to them. Comfortable ambiance. As a Port Washington resident, I see a lot of regular customers coming during lunch hours and also people who live far away come here for take out. Also, their slice is huge and special pizza is $ 4 per slice which is a good price for a big piece. If you want your slice to be hot or toasty, just tell them so. Their pizza is already good. But they will leave it in the oven longer if you want a hot toasty slice. I like their pasta slice: penne al vodka or ravioli. It’s unique and a lot people love it. When I was in high school, I used to get this all the time after school. Among the kids, other than the pasta slices, buffalo slice was also popular. Older people like spinach slice because it’s creamy and filling. It will be fun looking at all the special pizzas and selecting one. Try it when you’re in town.

I had recently rediscovered this place. The pizza crust is crispy and tasty, the sauce is good and they use wild mushrooms not from a can. I also had a calzone and it was wonderful.

I“ve gone here on and off and I think it’s just meh, not terrible but not great by any stretch. I recently got down to Galleria Pizza in Merrick as I reviewed elsewhere and their food blew this place and Gino’s and Carlos AWAY. With no effort whatsoever. I know it’s in Merrick but goddamn why can’t we get a joint like that up here?!

I’ve familiarized myself sufficiently with Port Washington pizza enough to say that Rosa’s is hands-down my favorite. I judge Rosa’s worth on the same grounds that I judge all pizza establishments on Long Island: by their grandma pie(which is decidedly the best in town). The fact that it’s stumbling distance from the train station also makes it convenient for quick dinner pick ups after work.

The owner of Rosa’s is incredibly rude. I am a young woman, and he most always makes comments that are extremely disrespectful every time i have been in. But the rest of the men working there are very nice. Also from a friend who took a work application from them took a peek in the kitchen and mentioned it was atrocious. And who wants to eat food from a disgusting kitchen? Alas, their specialty slices are very good, and they stay open the latest. But are they good enough to be treated like a piece of meat by the owner? No If looking for a regular slice I by far suggest getting one from the nice people at Carlos or Ginos

As someone who was visiting Port Washington and no ties to the local pizza places, I decided to follow Unilocal and check out the two pizza places in the downtown area: Gino’s and Rosa’s. Now, Unilocal fans say good things about each but I decided to get one regular slice at each place and evaluate. First, I went to Gino’s. The ambiance was pleasant(restaurant-like) the service was friendly and pizza came hot and quickly. It was a good classic slice and I was pleased. Then I went to Rosa’s. The ambiance was classic pizza place, the service was slow(I was the only one ordering but it took 90 seconds to have one of the three guys look at me) and the pizza came out quick, but barely warm in the middle. The sauce was very tasty and might have enjoyed it even more if it was hot. In conclusion, Rosa’s had a good slice, but but if i had the chance to get another slice in the future, it would be a Gino’s.

Best specialty pizza in Port, but i am not a fan of many of the pizza places in Port as they all have just ok pizza. Seems to be a better value then the others also.

Having taken the LIRR to Port Washington to see a concert the next town over, we were looking for a quick(and walkable) bite to eat. We saw the sign for Rosa(and decent reviews on my Unilocal app) and headed over. I got the pizza that had some kind of pasta on top of it. It was pretty tasty and an interesting combination. The lack of tomato sauce and substituted pasta sauce made it taste very little like pizza, which was okay with me. Why not 5 stars? I felt like it wasn’t fantastic, merely okay. The worst part of the whole experience(although not the restaurants fault) was the group of teenage boys there. They were sitting at the table next to us and would not stop talking about inappropriate topics that I didn’t want to hear while eating. Needless to say, we gobbled up our food and got out of there. I’m not sure if this is a normal hang out for these boys, but if so — take it to go.

LOVE their pizza. I could eat the ravioli slice everyday. Amazing. They get five stars for A.) having awesome pizza(ravioli slice!), and B.) for not kicking me out when I loitered there, back in high school. Friendly staff and great food!

The pizza is pretty good, I’ve always preferred Gino’s but because Rosa’s is closer to home, it now has a special place for me and especially for my brother. The guys that work there are so kind! If they dont have it, they’ll still consider making it for you, and their cheesy garlic bread is just yummmm. Oh, and there’s a good amount of seating available~

Rosa’s pizza is fantastic, I am lucky enough to know the family who owns the pizzeria, as the Port Washington location is one branch of this Queens based pizzeria. One slice that is unique to Rosa’s is the red slice, which has an equal amount of cheese and sauce and looks like the redder, angrier cousin of the Sicilian slice but tastes AMAZING. Rosa’s also has a great overall menu complete with Grandma, baked ziti, and other speciality slices as well as chicken rolls, heroes and more. It’s location across from the Port Washington train station also makes the place convenient for those looking for a quick bite before jumping on the train. Overall, great families create great pizzas, and it’s definetely worth going for the red slice alone as you can’t find it at any other pizzeria!
