Wit & Whim

I’m not normally a boutique shopper (because I often find boutiques somewhat intimidating, and also enjoy hunting for the unusual rather than stepping into a store), but «wit & whim» is my exception. I’m glad I finally decided to stop by after visiting my neighbor, Dawn, at her adjacent store (Initial Stop). The sheer variety of beautiful, decorative, and very much useful merchandise is not only staggering, but is displayed so artfully, that one can’t help but be amazed and delighted. I’m a fragrance junkie, and not one for the usual department store fragrances, so stumbling upon the Mélange line there was like hitting a gold lode. Krissy is a gem; helpful, welcoming, a pleasure to deal with, and her sense of style is a joy to behold. Kudos to Laurie Scheinman for creating this incredible store, and if that weren’t enough, 100% of profits go to a different charity every month. Kudos!

Wow! What a fabulous store. Really unique items. I just bought these beautiful genuine handmade Turkish towels… so beautiful and excited to bring them home. Really unique stuff on par with beautiful shoppes in Manhattan. Perfect place for a unique gift no chachkas (did I spell this right)

It’s like SoHo meets Long Island… awesome store!!! Every visit feels like i’m stepping into an ultra cool gallery with gifts and clothes that I can actually afford to buy! The best part is knowing that i’m giving back with every purchase because all proceeds go to worthy causes. Something for everyone… LOVE IT!

Visited this place again and bought two great baby gifts and some furniture! Found a leather ottoman nicely priced and a mid-​century table lamp. Worth the trip again!

Wit & Whim is truly an amazing store. Every time I stop by they have new items on display and everything is unique made from local designers. All the display furniture are also up for sale. A percentage of their sales proceeds go towards a different charity each month. If you have a difficult person to shop for, you can truly find something in this store for them!

Wit & Whim has the perfect gift every time! Everything is so unique and comes with a story from the owner who has hand picked everything in the store.
