A & A Pest Control

Thought that I had some critters and gave them a call the lady that answered was very nice and prompt, she told me that a technician would come out within the hour. The technician named Daniele knocked on my door about 30 minutes after I called. She was very professional, thorough, she answered all my questions and was very helpful. I had such a great experience with this company that if I ever have any kind of problems or know anyone else with problems I would definitely recommend them! Feel confident in the service here!

I just had a conversation with the owner of this business that was completely unprofessional and rude. Last year I had my home sprayed three times for carpenter ants, carpenter bees and spiders. Danielle the technician was very professional and I did notice an improvement after the three sessions. This year I get a bill in the mail for $ 66 for a treatment that had been done without my prior consent or knowledge. I was out of the country and did not get the voicemail that she left the day prior to the visit. I would not have had the service rendered because the ants are no longer a problem. They did not treat the interior for the spiders nor the siding for the bees because I was not home to discuss this with the technician. The owner first said that it was a maintenance contract but within the same conversation admitted that I didn’t sign a contract and that the service was done in error. She said she would wave the service call fee but as I was asking for a receipt showing the charge had been cleared she interrupted me and said that in the future I should just call another pest control service and then she hung up on me. This kind of customer service is reprehensible. I am a small business owner as well. This is NOT how miscommunication should be handled.

I called A&A in the process of getting quotes for services from several pest control companies in Portland. After two quotes from (unnamed) highly rated businesses here on Unilocal,both costing several hundred dollars for simple rodent trapping and consultation, I had about tossed in the towel.
When I called A&A, they told me that, due to a cancellation, they could come by same-​day at no charge for a walk through of my house and give a consult of the problem. Again, where other businesses were charging between $ 80-​$ 200 just for a consultation, adding additional fees for trapping, A&A offered this as a complimentary service.
The technician arrived promptly at our scheduled time, and was friendly and courteous, and quite knowledgeable. They have a simple, $ 100 flat fee for service, and upon completion, offer the choice of self-​maintenance (removing any caught animals myself) or for $ 50, to come back and check, clear, and reset the traps for me. This is a service that is unique, to my limited knowledge, to A&A. The other providers I spoke with return as part of the higher service cost, but charge additional fees upon removal.
In short, I cannot recommend A&A enough.
