The portions are super small here! Prices are high for a small hole in the wall! Service sucks as well. The owner was upset because no business due to weather

Decided to try this little family run Mexican restaurant on Taco Tuesday. My date ordered a chicken taco and the chile relleno plate that came with tortillas, corn or flour. She especially liked the rice, along with the relleno that was the proper style, fried. The omelette style she is served at some other places is not proper. I ordered four street tacos, 2 pork, 2 chicken, and a veggie tostada. We each had a beer too. Everything was very tasty and fresh. I loved my tostada just a little bit more than the really great tacos. I tried two of the sauces from the continent bar, and found them too spicy for this gringo. I has sweat down the back of my head. Even the carrots from the bar were on the too spicy side for me. I’m so pitiful. Our total came to $ 23.50, we were stuffed with yummy tasty Mexican food and beer, and look forward to returning to explore their existence menu.

I’ve passed by this place many times but finally decide to go in to try it out. I am a sucker for handmade tortillas so I had to order something that came with them. I ordered a carne Asada plate that came with handmade tortillas, it was pleasantly satisfying but a little hard to eat. I wish that their tacos were made with fresh tortillas too. It’s not a fancy place but I would definitely return.

I was super excited to go to this place because of the reviews. Food was OK but not very friendly at all. Will not go back. I will keep looking for great places in Portland.

Came in here for some lunch yesterday. The patio is a very cute space, I wish the location was not as noisy or we would have sat outside. Staff was friendly, and prices were quite reasonable although portions seem on the smaller size. The margaritas were only $ 4.25 but they did not have much booze in them. Overall I enjoyed eating here and appreciated the family run atmosphere.

Well it appears the owner is the guy with the cowboy hat. Seems to have a restaurant running on a low budget so he is working there. He was bussing tables, rinsing dishes and taking orders. Now, the tacos was just meat, little bit of onions and tortilla. No sauce, no chile or anything. I almost walked out with my food but I decided to get some cups of sauce, if I wouldn’t have the tacos would have been extremely bad. This is definitely not a first choice for me. And this is the first time I been there, I just moved here to Portland.

Yes, yes, yes. I just get a chicken burrito every time I go, but can only imagine what other dishes taste like. Great décor, makes it feel all fun and sunny even when it’s cloudy. Super fast service. Great price and comes with one of those fill-your-own salsa bars. What more can a man want from his neighborhood Mexican restaurant? Nothing. That’s what. Ruby C is insane and doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

They have a great salsa bar…6 different homemade salsas. Radishes, carrots, and jalapeño with grilled onions in a crackpot. I ordered a veggie burrito, the tostada de ceviche and a corona! Total was 11 bucks! The food came fast and the service was excellent!

One of my favorite places off 82nd Avenue in Southeast Portland near Clackamas in an otherwise mostly shady neighborhood. The man with the gaucho hat is always willing to modify an order at a very reasonable price. Friendly service and authentic Mexican cuisine. Love it here!

They have amazing food! They got my order wrong today and I had to drive back… But it is always worth the wait! Great place and wonderful people!

Carne asada tasted like three-day-old pot roast! Ordered chips and salsa and salsa had wilted onions and cilantro in it. Perhaps it was also three-days-old! I’m sorry I veered away from my usual spot. I won’t be coming back here.

Taco Tuesday has 99 cent tacos. They have three options, chicken, pork and one other that I cannot remember. They were quite delicious, and the guacamole was amazing also. Be sure to try the jalapeño paste that they have on the salsa bar.

The food is good, the service — specifically from the OWNERHIMSELF, is bad. I’m calling you out, Dude in the cowboy hat. He packed my to-go order, said«todo?!» to the cook, walked over with a blank expression, handed it to me without a word, while I said thank you, he said nothing at all, just whipped out his phone in front of me to check the weather or something. I was having a great day, and he was just strolling by, like maybe he just wants your money, doesn’t really care to make you pleased with the visit. When I got home, I saw that he DIDN’T PACKANYCHIPS in my order. WTH?! I got a full meal and 2 tacos, that comes with chips. That offered salsa without chips. The cowboy hat just seemed like a mean guy. He seemed gruff with other people, too. I don’t know if he just takes no pride in his business or is just a sour guy, but this sort of stuff makes me never visit again. My family owns a restaurant — You’re SUPPOSED to set everything aside and focus on your customer’s experience. The owner/cowboy hat gets Thumbs down. The cooks load it up with the food. But even the food can’t do enough to redeem rhe restaurant If the guy had packed my food right and given it to me with a smile and friendly manner, my rating would have been at least a 3.5−4. THE manager/owner guy NEEDSTOCHECKHIMSELF :-(

Literally the best breakfast burritos in town. They make their tortillas and salsa fresh every day. The service is also nice.

Hubby and I tried this place tonight for the first time. It’s a little hole in the wall; you’re not sure if it’s gonna be good or not, but it was. We will definitely be back. Food was fresh and homemade. Seriously homemade. The white corn tortillas were made from scratch and fresh off the grill, and they had a chicken mole special that was just amazing. My husband who doesn’t even like mole loved it. You won’t be sorry trying it out… Not fancy, but who needs fancy when the food is this good???

Cute building(interior and exterior) in a shady part of town with cheap, mediocre, cafeteria style food. The only advantage this place has over the Mexican carts right down the street is the sit down location. The food isn’t even close in quality and the price is about the same. The staff seemed nice enough but your interaction is limited to ordering at the counter and having it delivered to your table.

I was in this area dropping something off and had to kill an hour and was hungry. I Unilocaled Amigos Del Sol and saw they had really great reviews. My tamales, rice, and beans were delish. My taco was ok. I’ll definitely go back. They also have margaritas — next time I’ll try one. Funky décor — loved it! Friendly staff. Oh– the salsa and chili was AMAZING!!!

Driving up 82nd, Amigos Del Sol is definitely a bright building you can’t miss. I’ve only tried a chile relleno and a carne asada taco. I thought both were pretty amazing. Plus, the people that work there, are really friendly! Love the pickled veggies! It’s kind of far and out of the way for me, but if I am ever in the area, definitely worth the stop! Mostly everything is under $ 10! Plenty of parking behind!

Wow! Fantastic. Maybe the best Mexican food I’ve had in Portland. Was surprised how good it was given the how few reviews there were. This is a true hidden gem. Great fresh homemade corn tortillas. Delicious beans. I liked all three types of tacos I had. My date had Mole, which was also excellent. Very authentic. Most people eating at lunch were locals. As good as anything I’ve tried in San Diego.
