If you’re looking for more obscure paleo or low carb items, this place will likely have it. My wife sent me here to pick up cassava flour and apparently, Caveman Pantry is the only place in Oregon that carries it. I’m not really Paleo or anything but I grabbed some sweet potato chips and paleo jerky bars and they were very good.

I’m so happy that Caveman Pantry exists! They have almost every single item I have found online and was skeptical of buying(because you can’t see the packaging). So now I can get everything in person! They even have«Great Low Carb Bread» bagels, bread, breadsticks, etc. They are also super friendly!!! Thank you for finally having a paleo/low carb store here in Portland!

This place is great! The selection is incredible and well-worn the drive if you’re low-carb. Multiple types or artisan pork rinds. More cheese«chips» than I’ve ever even heard of. Tons of paleo stuff. And they’re super friendly, too! :)

This cute store is just what Portlanders need. Health conscientious folks will be happy to know that this store exists! The store is specifically for keto/paleo dieters– but in the process of the keto diet you naturally are limiting carbs and gluten. I am none of those things, but do want to be more aware of my diet. It’s fascinating to learn about what you can substitute for when you want to go low carb or gluten. I am a heavy snacker and I usually turn to crackers and chips, but the store provides an array of treats to satisfy my habit with such chips made from parsnips, beans, or cricket flour! Yup people all over the world use cricket flour, it’s high in protein and great for the environment ! Ding! Makes me feel great ! Some of these products could be found at other grocery stores, but it’s all mixed in with regular groceries and would be hard to access all the products you need. The products are all in one store, not to mention the knowledgeable owner. He gave me 2 terrific recipes on low carb chiles rellenos and a squash noodle spaghetti! I think it would be great if they sold that gadget! With new years around the corner, who wouldn’t want to eat better? Bonus: life on the westside? They do online ordering and if you live in their vacinity(lents) they will have the groceries delivered by 2 hours!

My partner and I drove across town one dark and rainy evening this week to check out Caveman Pantry after we heard about it thanks to Reddit. We drove past it at first, because in the dark we couldn’t see the sign that is on top of the bright yellow laundromat awning. I posted a picture to help future visitors. The shop is small, but they have all sorts of things I’ve never seen on shelves before, from peanut flour and multiple varieties of low-carb and/or gluten free baking mixes, to pasture raised grass fed beef bone broth, low carb(not gf) bread, sugar free chocolate, jerky, and artisan pork rinds from Atlanta. The husband and wife duo who own the shop are smiley and eager to answer questions. Very sweet couple. I look forward to visiting this place once in a while to pick up all the random ingredients I need to make gluten free sugar free concoctions that aren’t available elsewhere.
