Fred Meyer

False advertising. I went into the Johnson creek location on6/​14/​2016 to purchase one of the solar celestial mobiles sku 86 907 842 that was prominently displayed in the weekly circular. Of coarse they did «not receive» any of them but the computers showed that the Beaverton location had 20 Of them. I was told that a request would go in and they would have o e transferred over. It is now 10 days 6 calls later and no one knows what is going on and no one sees any action of a transfer request. On ⁶⁄₂₀ I spoke to Rob the assist mgr in the home department and he assured me he would look into what the status was and what was going on but have yet to hear anything back from him. I call in today ⁶⁄₂₃ and still no one can tell me anything I then ask for corporate number and given the phone number to another Fred Meyer. They give me corporate number and guess what I get a voicemail now let’s see if anyone at corporate cares

Middle aged woman: her high pitched «hi» will be the death of me. My family and friends will mob up and avenge my untimely passing.
Older man: don’t fucking touch me.
Younger man: why are you sitting down? Do you know how privileged you are? They don’t even have chairs in agrabah.
Great store. Starbucks girls are nice, cute cashiers, I’m in here just about everyday, never had a bad experience once I got past the greeters.

IDK what it is about Fred Meyer’s that suck (Actually, I totally do, that’s why I’m writing this review), but this store is by far the worst I’ve been to. I get that 82^nd is a very disgusting area, and therefore, there are going to be more undesirables there, but seriously, LEARN HOW TO STOCK YOUR SHELVES!
Pros:
–There’s food, sometimes.
Cons:
–The layout makes ZERO sense
–Shelves, almond butter, and produce are WAY too frequently improperly stocked. All FM’s suffer from this, but this one is exceptionally bad.
–Some of the employees are subpar at best. The produce guys are not overly friendly either. –Coming from the Beaverton store, where people actually interact with you, having people not say anything to you is a bit of a «shock», per se.
–Their produce sucks, big time
–The pharmacy people seem to be kinda rude
Pretty much, its a crappy store when compared to Tualatin (The nicest store out of nay FM’s that I’ve been to) and Beaverton. The unfortunate part is, I refuse to buy 99% of my produce at Winco, because, well, its Winco. And New Seasons is too far to drive for a few things of produce. I don’t buy meat, so that’s a non-​issue. For us commoners, there aren’t too many places to go. Maybe I’ll start rocking the fruit stand south of the FM. Probably superior prices and quality anyway. Fred Meyer is just convenient, that’s it. I don’t go for quality, I go for convenience, since its 5 minutes away.

I prefer this location because of the delicious $ 5 pizzas they make in the deli using in-​store ingredients. That buffalo pizza is to die for. I like the interior of this location as well, it’s a bit more spacious. The parking lot sometimes terrifies me, though.

This review is specific to the pharmacy — I haven’t had any issues with the other departments.
I am so frustrated by this pharmacy that I am going to pull all of my prescriptions and transfer them to a non-​Fred Meyer pharmacy.
Where to begin? The pharmacy has pharmacy techs who are not familiar with drugs and must ask other techs questions. Interns are brought in to customer-​facing positions and guess what? Also needing to ask others answers to questions. This wouldn’t necessarily be inherently bad or deserving of one star, but when you couple this with the normally long wait times to pick up a prescription, it doesn’t create an overall positive experience. I’ve stood in line for five minutes or longer, all the while other staff members are manning stations with no customers (RX drop off, etc) and making an effort to ignore the long line. On multiple occasions I’ve finally reached someone to help me, only to find that — my prescription was misplaced. Or the prescription faxed in by the doctor was lost. It goes on and on. I’ve heard from folks that Walgreens offers up a better customer service experience, so they will be getting my business.

Love love love this location. Looks nice and clean even from outside. Just moved from Washington county and loved that this one looks just like the rest!
It’s clean and friendly! I even took my daughter to the playland and the lady that was watching the kids was a doll!
Parking was very ample. Aisles are nice and wide. I glanced at the deli and things looked good and fresh (as they usually are)
There’s also tons of other places around it, it’s like it’s own little shopping plaza! And of course being on 82^nd there’s tons of other things around the area.

I must be a fan because I’m here weekly. I tend to divide my shopping between Fred Meyer, Winco, and Safeway … and usually sequentially. Don’t you hate breaking up shopping trips across the week instead of doing it all at once?
Fred Meyer is a full fledged department store. The food section is big, but they even have apparel, household items, furniture, electric appliances, a paint department, and a garden center.
Fred Meyer has embarked on a campaign to lower their prices. I see that some of that has come to be. Most of their goods are Safeway grade, but a little cheaper. However, they are more expensive than no frills Winco, where you cannot pay with a credit card and you bag your own items.
The service is generally very good, be it in the aisles or at check out. The store is enormous, so there are actually 2 zones for check out, both on the north side (closer to SE 82^nd entrance) and on the south side (closer to the Johnson Creek Blvd. entrance).
Note that within the store are a Chase Bank with Saturday hours and a Starbucks. On the premises are both a gas station, though probably not Top Tier grade gasoline, and a recycling center. Conveniently across the street is Trader Joe’s and, there, the feeling will be much more Ecotopian.
In the end, I give this Fred Meyer 4 stars. A few minor demerits are that the deli prices, for some reason, are on the high side. The other is that a lot of items in the other parts of the store are fine if for generic use (light bulbs, tools, etc.) and far less interesting if for other uses (furniture, bedding, etc.).
Lastly, this Fred Meyer store should not be confused with the Clackamas store down the street and closest to the post office and Highway 212 – 224 — the «real» Clackamas. This Fred Meyer is called the Johnson Creek store, and that’s the best way to describe it, since it shows a Portland address and sits just below the Multnomah County line and right at, and above, Johnson Creek Boulevard.

Friendly staff and great produce! This store is obviously older but they have made the best use of space and I was able to get everything I needed quickly!

The store itself is good as well. There are occasional ’70% off clearance’ sales which make shoes and accessories super inexpensive.
Decent selection of organic food, but not nearly enough to do all your grocery shopping here. Stick to New Seasons or Trader Joes.

Just had an encounter with an awesome P.I.C. (person in charge) named Edward. His customer service was excellent! He totally went above and beyond to help me find something in the store and when he couldn’t find it he found a similar item for me instead. Best customer service I’ve had anywhere recently.

I came here to get gas today thanks to my Fred Meyer rewards I was able to get gas for $.99 it only cost me $ 14.08 to fill up my tank I cannot believe it.
Yeah the line was long but it was worth it when inside the store because they now have a simply organic section.
The layout of the store has been remodeled it is phenomenal in there it’s not cluttered!
They had tastings out you could taste the cheeses different products with being made, ect. I mean this is similar to the Hollywood Fred Meyer’s on 33^rd and Broadway.
Fred Meyers always has been high with prices so you can expect nothing less

I just dont know about this Fred Meyers. It says Fred Meyer but its just not organized like a Fred Meyer. I think it shows on a week night when no one is in there yet on weekends there are lines of desperate people trying to not only get out of this store but also to find what they are looking for. Its so disorganized. Why not just put all pasta in one pasta area??? Its lime hide and go seek pasta. Milk. Chocolate milk is here but almond rice milk is here and regular milk is here. Organic milk thats completly different. Does it need to be this way? The checkouts??? This is the only Fred Meyer i have been in where there are areas of checking out. But sometimes they are staffed and sometimes not. Deli counter 1 person waiting on line of people the others walk around behind the counter pretending to be busy. Then you go over to get some food there and its like magic they disappear. I could go on but why you will probably still shop here.

This is probaly one of the most ghetto Freddys in the Portland Metro area! Ghetto staff, even more ghetto customers & crappy selection. I would suggest traveling a little further out and hitting up a different location than maybe you will have a different experience? Otherwise I will bet your review will be very similar to this one!

This store is great. Being from Texas, I am used to H-​E-​B/​Central Market and was nervous about switching up our grocery store routine, but I have grown to love this Fred Meyer. The rewards program is awesome because I don’t need gas very often, but by the time I do I have already saved up plenty of points from grocery trips to get a great discount on gas! They usually have everything we need in stock, I love the natural foods section, produce has been good, and the clothing section is a great addition to any shopping trip! There are three different sides of the parking lot to choose from thanks to the three different entrances, which makes it easy to enter on the side closest to whatever you need if you are looking to get in and out quickly. The cashiers have always been friendly and there are always plenty of check stands open.
I took off a star because the bottle deposit is detached from the store and kind of scary. It’s dirty and filled with bums and the machines get clogged really easily. At one point all the machines were clogged and my husband was scared to leave me out there alone while he went to go get an attendant to help. After he made the trek inside, it still took over 10 minutes for someone to come fix them. So we just don’t deposit bottles here anymore.
Another thing I have noticed is that their meat is just not great quality. The beef is always fatty, chewy, and turning brown in the case. We head to New Seasons for better quality meat because I have yet to try a quality piece of chicken, beef, or seafood from here.
Overall, this store meets almost all of our needs (except for meat and Stumptown coffee!) and is WAYYY better than the Freddy’s up the road on 82^nd.

I came here for last minute Christmas shopping. There were nice sales going on and the place was very organized. The man near the bedding area (older man, didn’t get his name) was extremely helpful. I looked for tape all over the store with no results. I found a gentleman who worked there that said he was all out of tape (for gift wrapping). This is strange since this is the time of year that everyone needs tape for gift wrapping. Stock up, Fred Meyer buyers. That is a no brainer. Our check out clerk, Casey, with reddish hair was LITERALLY the slowest checker I have ever met. He was yawning and moving slower than my dead grandma. Everyone in line was in shock about how sluggish he was. I counted 5 yawns before he even got to me. Then he yawned about two more times. That’s not a big deal, but the yawning combined with his slow motion movements made me cringe.

I returned it to a different location (Foster), and they «tested» what looked like the most done chicken from their roaster.
I took that home, and we cut it open. It was red inside.
Two fails.

This Fred’s gets four stars because of its gas station, which always has the best gas prices for me because of the loyalty card gas rewards. When I do my grocery shopping here, the staff has always been friendly, even around the busy holiday season. They recently did some remodeling/​rearranging, so the last time I went there I had a hard time finding things. But the organic/​natural food section looked bigger, at least.
The gas station is often pretty busy, although apparently I’ve been getting there at just the right time recently because I haven’t had to wait the last three or so times I’ve filled up. The only complaint I have is that it is so darn far away — Fred’s would really benefit from having a gas station closer to the city. As it is, I plan my Fred’s trips to coincide with when I need gas, then I go here and stock up on groceries, gas, and any clothes or home goods that this Fred’s has but that the smaller ones closer to home lack.

I avoid this store as much as possible

Their sale prices are even higher than many other stores I shop at, even their clearance items will only take 5 to 20% off, it’s ridiculous
Don’t try to get gas during rush hour times, it’s a mess

⁹⁄₁₀ times, this Freddies has exactly what I need, but not always which is why I’m bumping down to 4 stars. I actually make a point to come here instead of Freddies on 82^nd and Foster which is closest to my house because it’s so much nicer… and there are no crackheads roaming… not really, anyway. Pricewise, Freddies isn’t always cheaper than Winco, but they often have 2-fer’s or 10/​$ 10 deals that you can’t really beat anywhere else.
My downright, absolute most favorite thing about Freddies no matter which one you go to are the checkstand lines! They keep them moving so quickly, it’s amazing. Even on an insanely business day or the holidays, I never have to wait too long. Yesterday, a younger kid rang me up in seriously 3 minutes from first scan to my receipt. Incredible, considering I had quite a bit of groceries.
They’re renovating this store right now so it’s kind of a mess, but they always make sure to have employees constantly asking if you need help finding anything — chances are you will because it’s all over the place. Buuuut, definitely worth a stop at Johnson Creek Freddies!

So most everything I own is Black in color. I’m not a goth or worship dark forces. I simply don’t like most color’s. No real reason. Just don’t. I like the color black. (Yes i know Black is not a color. It’s a base. So is White.) If you ever meet me, you will see what i mean. So i needed some new «chonies», AKA underwear. (All you Vato’s are R.O.T.F.L.Y.A.O. or maybe your from Cali. any who.) I needed some chonies and i dare you to find a multi pack of them in all black. I dare you! They try and sucker you by putting a black pair on the model for the front of the package and the rest are assorted color’s. Jerks! So in my quest for all black in my life. I went to Fred Meyers. They suckered me in with talk of sales. Oh they had sales. Not good ones but yes, they had sales on chonies. Most came out to about $ 10.00 a pair. That isn’t a sale. I was able to calm myself down to buy two packs = 14 pair for less $ 54.00 with a coupon. Buy 1 get a second for ½ price. It has taken me so long to find them in black (or at least black, grey and a really dark grey.) that i was about to go commando in order to never ever wear some awful color like red or some other icky color. LOL.
