Amazing concept — assorted cheeses & all the fixings you could possibly want(local honey, olives, cornichons, chocolate ganache, various breads and crackers). For dessert? The cutest vanilla soft serve with espresso sprinkled on top! Perfect for a lazy lunch.

Cheese, yum! Got a signature cheese plate with(Cypress Grove) goat cheese and salami. Lovely accompaniments and presentation. The bread is to die for!

Be warned, this restaurant offers free wifi and advertises the password, but if you use it for longer than 30 minutes they will ask you to leave. I’m puzzled as to why they offer it at all. It’s very awkward for their staff members to need to police«screen time». Aside from this policy, I have enjoyed the concept, delivery and taste of everything I’ve tried on prior visits to Cheese & Crack.

I’m new to the Portland area so I have been experimenting with a lot of different places and I can without a doubt say that this is a perfect place for a snack. The food lives up to the beautiful presentation, I was not disappointed. The flavors are fresh, rich and the endless combinations make for unique experience. Awesome atmosphere and a nice place to relax and enjoy a moment with friends and loved ones.

Super cool atmosphere. They want you to limit your use of laptops to 30 minutes to make it a screen free environment. Some might hate that but I’m into it. Makes it nice for a casual date or to catch up with friends. The soft served ice cream was awesome. They fill the cone with chocolate and dust the ice cream with finely ground coffee. I suggest you get that!

Cool! We were looking for a snack and I literally searched snack and this little place was the first place to pop up. We came during happy hour(unplanned!) we ordered Mac and cheese which I thought was pretty tasty but my boyfriend practically licked the bowl, he loved it! We also ordered ‘nachos’. This playful twist on nachos featured potato chips(homemade?), Gruyère sauce, lentils, hot sauce and an herb sauce. What?! So crazy tasty and unlike anything I’ve ever had! How creative! Love love love. The décor was very hipster. My boyfriend had a beet while I went with the crisp house white. Great experience!

This place is a Portland must visit. The service is incredible, the staff is hunky, and the food is amazing! The sampler snack trays are my favorite and the prosecco is on tap. You can’t get any better than that.

BEST. SNACKS. EVER. Specifically? Ambrosial cheeses. Dazzling crackers. Brilliant menu. The mornay is what dreams are made of. A slice of heaven for any palate. Gustatory nirvana. And the tomato jam? I don’t even think you’re ready for that jelly. Also get the soft serve ice cream.

«Cheese & Crack». Such a great name.(: This place is super cute & has great cheese boards & dessert. Perfect for post-dinner snacks! I like this spot because it doesn’t get too loud or crowded, so you can carry a conversation, & still enjoy the good music(hiphop, r&b, soft trap beats) they play.(Seriously, whoever selects the music here has good taste!) Besides cheeseboards, they also have a selection of beers, wines, & bubbly drinks, as well as yummy soft serve ice cream & a couple other dessert options.

Ordered a «signature cheese and crack plate» to go. Had to wait 15 minutes for them to put it together and I guess I should have checked before I left because they didn’t give me any crackers OR cookies in my box. :( The only 2 items they actually make in-house were not included on my «signature» plate??! Fail. What they did give me was delicious, but crack is in the name– how did they forget that?!

Absolutely adorable place! Great place to go with a friend or two to have a snack and just to chit chat. Honestly, I went with a friend and we were there for about 2 hrs just snacking and talking the entire time. The service was friendly and nice. I would absolutely recommend others to this place for a snack. It is not a meal worthy place unfortunately. I didn’t get a chance to try their soft serve ice cream, but will on my next visit. One little con: –½ star. There were fruit flies flying around which is a no-no. I had some fruit flies lying on my cheese plate… Total star rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The sun was out yesterday. I know, right? I spent most of it running around, but come lunchtime I kidnapped my husband from work and finally got here. I’m so glad we made the effort. We had the ploughman’s and the brie brulee and they were outstanding. This ploughman’s lunch isn’t anything like the ones I’ve had in England or Wales but that’s the beauty of them. They’re all different and Cheese and Crack absolutely has the guts, and ability to nail the essence of it and make it shine. No Branston’s here, but you’ll survive! There is sweet and savory all over the tray of edible treasures so make it your own. The bread here is excellent, as well as the mustard and cornichon/olive combo. I didn’t feel like the lunch was heavy despite the fact a bit of rather rich meats being involved, but there was no pressure to consume vast amounts of which was a plus we weren’t actually returning to an afternoon of farm work or medieval roof thatching. The shop itself is very clean and organized with everything on display, and they make a fantastic to go cheese plate with 24 hours notice.(Judging from what I saw on the blackboard) An abundant wine and beer list on hand if you don’t have to go back to work afterwards. Or if you do anyway, you lucky bast– er, naughty person. This sweet little spot isn’t very big, so keep it intimate like, but yesterday, with the sun on my back and the perfectly selected cheeses and accompanying bits, I was a happy girl. Luscious soft serve ice cream(thank you Karen M) for dessert, and get some bitters for your soda water as well. The Perfect Lunch. Go.

Great little shop with tasty goodies! The hubby and I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a light lunch before seeing a show at Keller. We shared the Brie Brulee board(comes with cheddar, baguette, pickles, cookies and condiments) and added salami and capicola and some extra baguette. All was delicious, though I wasn’t a huge fan of the little cookies – a bit bland and obviously meant to be spread with the ganache(which was yummy!). I especially liked the brie brulee, which is basically brie with burned sugar on top. Brie typically tastes like feet in my opinion, so the brulee definitely eliminated this. To drink, hubby had an RC cola(throwback!) and I had one of their bitters and soda drinks… got with peach flavor and it wasn’t sweet, which i like. Will try another of their boards next time and will prob get some wine, too! :-)

While their offerings aren’t vast and there’s not too much ambience to speak of, this might just be my favorite place in Portland to grab a beverage and a snack. Their full-size fromage/charcuterie plates are an impressive tray of cheese(and meat or pâté if you so desire) and accoutrements on cute spoons, while their snack-size portion is a dainty, but formidable offering fit for a solo visitor. I also enjoyed their biscuits(heated up the next day and served with breakfast). The true piece de resistance was the soft serve cone, dusted with espresso and filled with a chocolate ganache at the bottom. Whoa mama, was this a sensational way to end the experience. I was thinking about it for days after and was tempted to repay them a visit during my stay more times than I care to admit!

Cheese & Crack made me so sad… I’d been dreaming of going after seeing their gorgeous cheese boards basically everywhere, but coming in purpose I was fairly underwhelmed. THEGOOD. + Visual aesthetics are quite pleasing(each tray is beautifully displayed and organized) + Great assortment of ingredients for each cheese tray + They graduated to a brick-and-mortar, congrats! THEMEH. — Flavor-wise, our cheese plate was a bit of a disappointment. The brie brûlée ended up being fairly flavorless, and a lot of the little spoons/crackers didn’t taste great, in my opinion. I guess maybe the point was for the cheese to stand out more, but the bland cheeses with bland crackers and overly sweet jams/honey/ganache were a bit of a disappointment. Not for me, unfortunately.

I’d love to come back with a friend or two and have a little cheese & crack social snack! It’s been awhile since we’ve been here, but I so very much loved having a plate of goodies all to myself — a couple varieties of cheeses, meat, mustard and little dessert treat with jam. It’s really adorable and nice the way they arrange your tray of treats, there’s plenty available on your board to fill you up at a pretty affordable price and I’m so pleased with the different varieties of charcuterie that’s bound to be a match to your personal tastes. Try it out and have your self a fancy board all to your self!

OMG I am obsessed with this place!!! Amazing cheese plates with very creative presentations. Food was fresh, delicious and everything paired very well. We also had the Mac and cheese which was amazing! The star of the show was the cheese and crack sundae. Holy crap this was one of the best sundaes I’ve ever had. The toasted marshmallow is perfect, and the soft serve is creamy and light. Beyond mind blowing!

This is the most awesome cheese, crack shop ever! OK, it’s the only one I’ve been to, but I feel I was fated to go here. They have cheese, yes! They have homemade crackers, biscuits, yes! They have delicious accompaniments such as jams, cornichons, olives, yes! And they will serve it on a tray in a beautiful art-like display, yes! So we tried two of the cheese trays and rounded it out with the remaining two so we can try all the cheeses. Do you realize, I LOVE cheese? Yes, yes I do! All of the cheeses were delicious and on point. The jams were so full of flavor. And the crackers? You can picture yourself eating a big bowl of these by themselves. The service with a smile was warm, sincere and fast. He was the only one there taking orders, making the orders and bringing them out but he did it all by his lonesome. Never felt rushed or unwelcomed. So I’m going to just call this guy the Cheese Maestro. The place is small but felt large enough inside with a clean streamlined look. The only complaint I can think of was that I was too full to try their soft serve ice cream and/or sundae. Next time! I will see you in my cheese dreams.

My bf and I shared a Beecher’s cheddar and brûléed Brie plate with a side of capicola and the cheese and crack sundae. I felt a little silly ordering Beecher’s cheese in Portland(being from Seattle), but I wanted he brûléed brie. The plate came with Nutella, apple butter, honey, mustard, bread, butter«cookie»(pie crust in ritz cracker sized circles) and wheat crackers. I loved the mustard and the wheat crackers. The capicola was so good. The brûléed brie was nice — sweet and savory at the same time. This plate plus a side of meat was a big enough portion to share if you’re just out for a snack. The sundae had torched marshmallow on top– best part of the sundae. So good.
