I tried to call in a last minute order of 7 burritos for a lunch meeting. The young guy who answered the phone said«Sorry, we’re too busy to take your order». So I went in and made the other lunch clients wait while they made my 7 burritos. When I said I had called, the girl asked if I had called the local number, like I’m supposed to know not to call for an order. She said«you should have placed an online order», nope I should not have to place an online order. They got the food ready pretty quickly, but like other reviewers I noticed the portions were not sized consistently.

Well it’s about what you can expect from a college area chipotle. White millennials who don’t know how wrap a burrito and would rather ignore you when you ask for a minor modification even when there’s hardly any line.

I love Chipotle! Fresh healthy food that is super fast and affordable. It is not really what most people would think of as mexican food. More like Tex Mex. This particular Chipotle is solid, but has an air of weirdness, but in an interesting way. Hard to describe. Parking is difficult. But I would recommend it as a fast cheap healthy option.

We went on a weeknight and there was no line and the restaurant had only about 5 customers there. We stood there unnoticed for about 3 minutes. There was no rice(after 5 minutes white rice was ready, no one could give an estimate of when the brown rice would be ready), so I opted for the salad, which was a wilted pile of wet half-sliced mess. Then they didn’t have any sofritas, and again no one seemed to be working on this problem. No one said«sorry for the wait» or «we’re working on it»… The employees just sort of stood around. I expect more from the Chipolte brand.

Previously lived near campus for the last year and went to Chipotle many times. Have tried the tacos, bowls, burritos, and pretty much the rest of the menu. In the end, its average. The chicken tends to be the best tasting, though the chips tend to be over salted. Nothing really stands out in a good or bad way, except for the chips, which I’m sure can vary depending on the batch and who salts them. The staff seems nice enough. Like the customers, they tends to be college students that attend PSU, across the street. Never had any problems, just people going about their work. During the day, I would not recommend Chipotle and would instead steer people to the food carts two blocks down(there are also numerous food cart options on the PSU campus, while school is in session). However, if it’s later at night night or just want something quick, you could do worse.

This is probably my least favorite chipotle location in town. The only reason I go here regularly is the location in relation to my home and work. The one constant you can count on is change. They always seem to give me something different every time, their salsa’s are usually under seasoned(especially the corn), this visit their chips were stale, like they’d been made this morning, and the guacamole tasted like it was left over from yesterday or the avocados were going brown. One thing that’s always the same is the line, and tonight they were understaffed while the manager sat in the dining room taking to a chef while they clearly needed help. It didn’t help that this one woman seemed to order enough food for an army and insist on fresh chips(which I now wish I had also done). This probably won’t stop me from going to this location, but the Chipotle up next to Lloyd Center is far better for consistency.

The name of the game here is inconsistency… something that should not happen at a chain restaurant. Tiny burritos. huge burritos. insanely salty chips. online orders never made. disgruntled employees. the list goes on. It’s kind of like gambling over here. You just never know what you’re gonna get.

I’m generally not into writing bad reviews, but I’m bending my rules a bit. The last three times I have been to this chipotle during dinner rush hour they did not have chicken ready. I had to wait at least 15 – 20 minutes each time this happened. The line kept piling up with people waiting for chicken. How do you not have that ready at dinner time? But that’s not all… Today was my coworkers birthday, so our director ordered lunch for us. We did the online order system for about 10 of us and chose the 11am time to pick it up. When our director arrived at the Chipotle, they did not have the order ready and said they open at 11 so it wasn’t ready. Why would that be a time available for pick up if it’s not possible to get our food then? He waited for 40 minutes for our food. Way too long and no one apologized for the wait. I have been to this chipotle so many times in the past(PSU alumni) and have never had so many problems. It seems the management is lacking and I hope they figure it out. Until then, I will be going to a different restaurant.

I am a big fan of Chipotle, for many reasons… They have fantastic food. Period. This location, however, I’m basically over it. Yes, they have long lines, but that’s not their fault — they’re in the center of PSU. Their service is another thing all together. The blonde at the counter has no common sense or personality. The line does nothing but talk amongst themselves, with the quick«want black beans or pinto bleans?» and then are still not paying attention to you as they’ll forget of have to ask you again. Today, the man who bagged up my tacos was having a full blown not work appropriate conversation with a girl 3 people down, took his sweet time bagging my food ANDTHEN basically tossed the bag in my direction without even looking at me. I’ve also tried avoiding these people all together and ordered online. The online ordering process itself is relatively smooth. I ordered my food 20 minutes before it said it would be ready. I walked down there and the cashier, same dimwitted blonde I’ve encountered too many times, said that she had no idea there were any orders waiting and then passive aggressively blamed the kitchen staff… awkward. about 40min after I had ordered my food it came out of the kitchen. After the bags were handed to me the blonde said«Oh, by the way we ran out of lettuce, I hope that’s ok???» First of all, that should have been mentioned earlier, secondly what kind of kitchen manager allows his restaurant to run out of lettuce during lunch when lettuce is generally a vital part of the food served??? When I asked to speak to the manager, a man who was dressed and carried himself very poorly emerged from the back and had a very lax attitude about the whole thing. He eventually offered a refund, which I gladly took, and wasn’t planning to mention on Unilocal until my experience today. I understand this Chipotle isn’t going to lose any business over this review, but the management staff really needs to change some things if they take their business seriously. Moving forward, I plan to walk out of my way to the food carts.

The facility is clean, the staff is nice, food is cheap. Only complaint is that lines are long. You should order ahead of time to in order to avoid the rush of students that come in between classes.

Very nice Chipotle, downtown — what you’d expect from a fresh and healthy establishment. I’ve been through many Chipotle’s and I do believe they gave a little less meat that usual or other locations so I was kind of let down but it was good none-the-less.

I’m a PSU student so I go to this Chipotle pretty frequently– it’s always pretty haywire and a bit all over the place because it’s the campus one, which I understand. I went in today and it was super busy, very long lines. I ordered and paid for a burrito bowl with corn(it includes some tiny green pepper pieces too), and the corn/little peppers were literally frozen(uncooked and frozen as in ice, out of the freezer). I went up and told them that the corn was frozen, and they, instead of acknowledging it, didn’t respond until I repeated myself, then called over the manager or overseer, continued ringing people up, and the manager just told me to get back in the long line, order another bowl without the corn, and they would comp it. As I was telling them the food was frozen/uncooked, they still let everyone pay for and buy the frozen corn/veggie mix, and didn’t stop or offer to do anything for anyone else who had just gotten to-go foods possibly with the corn. They didn’t seem to care that they were serving frozen food in with the rest of the food, and hardly exchanged words with me. No one working the lines seemed to understand that I was having my bowl re-made/comped either– seemed like very poor communication. . As far as I know, there was no change to it either, though I hope they went back and cooked it? They had already sold a bunch of to-go orders. It didn’t seem like they believed me, they didn’t test out the corn in my bowl, and I tried to explain that I didn’t mean that it was cold, I meant actually frozen the whole way through. Their one job is to make sure they’re preparing the food right and getting it to the customers, and that does not seem to be this location’s goal. I couldn’t believe how little they cared and how they treated an easily correctible mistake as something that both wasn’t their problem and something I could’ve been lying about? It makes me worried about if they’re cooking their meats thoroughly/consistently. This behavior wouldn’t pass in another restaurant. Weird experience– I had spent nearly 17 $ dollars to get my boyfriend a burrito and myself a bowl, and had to wait in the long line twice– I would’ve at least liked to know that they weren’t putting frozen food in other people’s stuff and maybe won’t do that again. Not to mention that I fully agree with the previous reviews about the inconsistent portions(my re-made burrito bowl was completely different in portions than the first one), the chicken is often mostly burnt or over-cooked gristle, and my boyfriend’s burrito looked just like the picture posted of the half-sized one(and usually the burrito is just falling apart based on how it’s been rolled).

Can’t eat there anymore after I witnessed an employee sitting in the window preparing the bags(way under-filled and overpriced) of chips, then eating some chips, then filling some more, then eating some more. Not wearing gloves either. I ate there a lot before that, can’t really say I enjoyed it, but it sure did fill me up. But gross, at least do it where the customers can’t see. Thankfully there are a lot of really good Mexican food carts nearby, and a new sit-down just down the block, so there are other options for the discerning burrito connoisseur. Like you have got to try the little cart under the parking garage a few blocks away, next to the hot dog cart, holy guacamole, now that’s some good eating. Super cool lady owning/running it, too, not a chain owned by McDonald’s. I almost gave Chipotle one star, but the majority of the times I went there the staff was really professional, so I don’t really want to fault everyone for one employee making everyone else look bad. I just can’t go there now.

It’s a chain so the offering is consistent, good in this case. The front line staff seemed rushed and it looked like it took effort to muster up friendly service. The Margarita was surprisingly good.

Still consistent. Move the line fast most of the time, even during PSU lunch rush. No idea why I said there’s a parking lot. As if one didn’t notice this is the west side of the river… Update: chicken, sofritas(seasoned tofu), vegetarian are now $ 6.70. Other meats $ 7.25-$ 7.40.

Line can get long during peak lunch rush but way isn’t long as a typical restaurant, similar to food carts. Great for college students on budget and time constraints. Five working in line speeds the process and no one is slacking. clean spacious atmosphere. Serves meat lovers and vegans alike I’m here to try out the Sofritas and get a free drink :) Nothing too memorable is food is great for grab and go.

The portions have gotten a lot smaller despite a recent price increase and the portions(for the bowl) are never the same. Sometimes I get 1⁄3 more food than the next time I go in but overall, the amount of food(despite the increase in price) is a lot less than it was before. I do not understand how they don’t train staff to give consistent portions for every order. How hard is that? The meat quality has also gone downhill — more fat. I used to love Chipotle because it was fresh good food, but seems to be going downhill in general. Quite disappointing, especially when prices go up with it.

The usual Chipotle experience, but with worse parking. Chipotle is my mainstay for decent Tex-Mex fare with customization being key. Freshness is usually top of the list, with healthier options being a nice break for those who do fastER food. Consistently good location-to-location is why we visit Chipotle and this place is no different. My biggest gripe at this location is/was the parking, but I can’t fault the restaurant specifically, but it definitely hindered our experience here. Maybe validate w/local parking garages free-of-charge?
