Our new home came with an ant infestation! Columbia Pest Control kicked their butts!!! Great service, great price, awesome outcome.

We had them out for rat control (eww, I know). He set traps in the garage and the crawlspace. We got many, many rats. My husband and I emptied and re-​set the traps in the garage and the entire process was done within about 3 weeks. He said it usually takes longer, but we wanted those little effers gone, so we pitched in to speed up the process… if you have the stomach for it, I recommend lending a hand to expedite the process.
It felt like a great value; $ 379 for a 60 guarantee once they’re gone. The tech we had out was very kind and considerate. My dogs got good vibes from him and it even got to the point where they were excited to see him on his weekly inspections.
All in all, we’re a couple of satisfied customers and we would definitely recommend Columbia Pest Control to anyone looking. Furthermore, we would definitely use them again, if needed… *knock on wood*

I’ve been dealing with huge house spiders for years and finally called Columbia Pest Control for help. Mike came out and sprayed inside and out and knocked down the webs around the outside of the windows and doors. He was great. It’s been several weeks since he was here and I haven’t seen a spider since. So glad I did this!

Just met with George Woolfolk from Columbia Pest Control at my house yesterday. He did a great job and I would recommend their service to my friends, family and neighbors.
George evaluated my property, provide very detailed explanations of the issues, and treated active ants in many areas. He went ‘above-​and-​beyond’ from what I was expecting and had experienced in the past with other Pest Control services. I made an appointment but quickly canceled because this company is way overpriced. Like double what I ended up paying. Also the lady who handles scheduling talks way too much and way too fast. She’s very pushy. I was unable to understand half of what she said. She should be an auctioneer haha or a horse race caller.

So far so good! Came out in a days notice to help with a mouse issue. George arrived right on time was super friendly set up the traps sealed off some entry points and set a return visit up. Fingers crossed this takes care of those little guys… hopefully they just move on to a nice field!

I was very impressed by the professionalism of this company – both the person on the phone and the tech, George, who was great. We had some rats making a home in our roof and they took care of it. George showed up on time, did a complete walk through the house and got on the roof and was able to find the entry points quickly. After closing them up he set the traps, and then did two follow visits. Our house is now rat free. These guys are great.

We thought we had a squirrel in the attic, but it turned out to be a roof rat. Mike Sheldon came over and checked the house both inside and out. He closed the areas on the exterior of the house where the rat was possibly getting in, and then set traps indoors and bait outdoors. The rat was dispatched, and Mike came back twice to check that we were still all clear. On his way out, he asked if he could clean off our front porch, which had a lot of spider webs. It was a great experience, I highly recommend this company.

I was scheduled immediately, Jill is incredible with scheduling and understanding the need and urgency. Mike came out to our place and did an inspection, and we were so impressed with the level and attention to detail — we hired them for the work immediately. No more carpenter ants!
Just now I saw a blowout of house ants in my kitchen (’tis the season), and called Columbia to see if I could get my «monthly service» early — and they are sending someone tomorrow. Super top notch — absolutely no complaints.
Stop looking for comparisons — this is where you need to call.

I called Columbia after seeing five stars on Unilocal and a mouse in my kitchen. Jason came out two days later. I arranged for a neighbor to let him in. He called right away and told me he had set 10 traps in places I wouldn’t see them and that he would be back in a week. He assured me it was a mouse not a rat and that when he saw the traps the next week he would be able to tell where the access point was. In a week he came back, checked the traps and called me to report… he adjusted the traps and came back one more time.
This time he said the traps were clean, no evidence of intrusion and he had plugged where he thought the entrance was. I haven’t had any problems since and I am very, happy. (a) excellent communication and willingness to call my neighbor to open my house. (b) very very reasonably priced © nice people sensitive to how upset people can be with these problems. Columbia Pest Control has all my votes!

The owner, Mike, came out less than a day after I made the call. He was extremely patience with our ant problem, and the ants disappeared in a few days! Mike is extremely professional and even gave us some tips on how to avoid mice! Don’t hesistate to give them a call if you have a pest problem!
Add 02÷15÷14: It’s been a few months since the treatment and no ants as of yet! Sweet.

Add 05÷04÷15: It’s been over a year since Mike has came up and sprayed the house. I have yet to see those buggers around. Yay!

We had a yellow jacket nest right outside the front door that we let go for a few days before addressing the issue. Apparently, its a good thing we did, and that we were lucky that we weren’t attacked by them, as they tend to be aggressive. I did some calling around (price shopping), and was pleased to see that the second cheapest option also had the friendliest operator (I apologize, I can’t remember her name). I always see that as the sign of a good business, so I went with Columbia. The friendliness didn’t stop there. The tech, Jason, came out and was a super nice guy. He explained all of the precautions I’d need to take, he handled the nest very quickly with no mess, and was on his way. I’m very happy that I went with Columbia, and you will be too.

We had a squirrel problem. The buggers were getting into the walls through an opening in the eaves and crawling out with insulation bits stuck to their whiskers. Knowing how much damage squirrels can do, we immediately set out to research removal and control options. We wanted it done on a budget but we also didn’t want to harm the critters if we could avoid it.
A neighbor recommended Columbia Pest Control based on the work they did ridding her of a mouse problem, so we got a quote. We also called two competitors and opted to go with Columbia based on price, which was the lowest, the good service they provided over the phone, and their willingness to use one way live traps (so that only an exiting animal would be trapped) and provide patching to prevent re-​entry.
In one visit they set the trap and sealed up other possible entrances. The technician said it was possible that Mr. Squirrel would be out foraging while he worked so we might not trap him. Fine with us; we wanted the squirrel out but we didn’t want to traumatize him. We were also reassured that should the trap catch a squirrel, a quick call would produce a repeat visit so the ensnared creature wouldn’t be stuck in there for too long. Shortly after the helpful technician left, a determined and grumpy squirrel showed up on the roof and tried to get back inside but was foiled by the carefully applied trap that had been set in front of the entrance. The trap was set carefully so that it would prevent him from going back in and trap anyone else coming out. So, after trying his best to get back in and failing, presumably he found someplace else to stash his nuts. A week later, the empty trap was removed. It has been several months and we have heard nary a scratch or scurry in our walls.
After our good experience with Columbia, we recommended them to friends who were horrified to find they had mouse problems. I’m happy to report that they also received good service and are now mouse free.

I have had this company out on two separate occasions and both times, the person was on time, very friendly, very informative, and got the job done swiftly and thoroughly. The person who made the appointment on the phone was also super friendly and got me scheduled right away. I will use no one else but these guys.

Don’t waste your time with the other guys. Mike was great, honest. I know where I’ll be going for any pest control issues in the future.

Fantastic! I couldn’t be happier with the services Columbia Pest Control has provided me. I don’t live in the Portland metro area, but I have some rentals there. I found Columbia by chance with Google. I was desperate and used them without recommendation or prior experience. That was three years ago. Now I use them for both critter problems, and for inspection work. Again, I couldn’t be happier. I’ve gotten to know Mike and some of his crew, and they’re hard working and honest. They’re a real pleasure to do business with. Also, if the job is beyond their scope of work, or just plain a waste of my money, they always let me know. I’d recommend them to anyone needing pest control and/​or inspection services.

This is a great company. I have used Columbia Pest control for my home as well as several rental properties I own. In one case I had a very difficult carpenter ant infestation and when Columbia treated it, the ants were gone immediately and never returned.
The people at Columbia are always on time and very efficient. The job is completed quickly and thoroughly cleaned up afterwords. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone who asks. Good service is so hard to find these days. When I locate a company the provides the type of quality service that Columbia Pest Control offers, I keep them.
