The fused strawberry Tequila is amazing and can lead to trouble. Service– very polite and they don’t bother you every 5 minutes and of course they were all extremely attractive. Food– Wild boar tacos were the best, I am gonna get two next time. Presentation was nice and it was not as expensive as I thought it would be so that was a nice surprise. I recommend this place for a nice quiet dinner with your significant other.

Fantastico(I’m not sure if that is Spanish or just Italian, but whatever). DF was the perfect place for a recent dinner with a LARGE(50) work group. We had the place to ourselves but I have to believe that even if we hadn’t they would have catered to our every need anyway. The food was perfect — I highly recommend the empanadas and the STEAK — the atmosphere was casual but nice and warm and inviting… Hence the 5 stars I cannot complain about anything. Go for the drinks, go for dinner and definitely have the chocolate flour less cake dessert. *** DF catered a dinner for me on Thursday and everything was PERFECT. I let them do their thing and they brought in a buffet style feast with shrimp, tamales, chili verde chicken and adorable(and delicious) habenero carrot cake cupcakes… mmmmmm.

Love. This. Place. Always accommodating and love the vibe in the restaurant. Great staff and the owners are kick-ass. I happily take out-of-towners here for a great, low-key night.

5÷15÷08 Update: CLOSED for good — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Day-Effay’s new cooking from old mexico failed to impress me and here is why, based on what I sampled. 1. Combination ceviche — You get 3 variations of ceviches. The one in smoky tomato sauce was good and stood out from others. The one with onions, cucumber, mango, etc was full of onions, cucumber, mango, etc and not much fish. The one with oregano was full of fish but oregano was over powering 2. Taco(Goat) — Small corn tortilla was loaded with slow cooked goat meat but it wasn’t seasoned well. I did use the salsas but still didn’t help 3. Taco(Pork) — Again a small corn tortilla loaded with pork except this time it was well seasoned. No complaints here. 4. Mexican rice — Rice was good but was it mexican? not sure, I couldn’t trace any tomato flavour in it. I would be ok if it was called just rice pilaf with corn. Service and patio are good. Was hoping to try their moles on my 2nd visit but I don’t want to anymore. May be that’s why they say«new cooking from old mexico» instead of «good cooking»
