****I want to point out that I have NEVER used their services… I am only rating them on their humanity and generosity****
I read an article (a while back — SPRING/​April 2015?) in the Oregonian that stated this business paid for the remainder of the school year for a facility/​site building that was being occupied by homeless families — so they didn’t have to uproot their children (again) from their school district and so these children could finish out their school year where they started.
Any business owner that can extend their kindness, empathy, generosity & compassion to needy families in our communities/​city in such a way deserves to be highly rated and recommended.
Seven Dee’s has restored my faith in humanity!!!

Called seven dees for a bid on landscaping and they came out twice seemed nice enough made notes, made a couple sketches and said they would get back to us. Approximately two months, an unreturned phone call and email later-​nothing. I don’t see the purpose in wasting everyone’s time.

Eric was timely for our set appointment and took his time walking around our backyard and telling me what our project would entail. Basically, we wanted to correct a pre-​existing retaining wall that ranges 6 – 7′ high (including what’s likely under the dirt) and ~130 ft long.
We already knew it would be an expensive project, but had no idea that, due to the height, we would have to bring out a structural engineer, and the initial estimate for the project was 3x what we had expected. I told him that the cost was simply out of our budget, so we didn’t use Dennis’ Seven Dees for actual work on our retaining wall.
The reason for the 5 stars is that I appreciated Eric’s honesty, breakdown of costs, what work was required (not including what a structural engineer might advise on top of that), unexpected scenarios that could hike up costs, as well as cheaper alternatives (that his company did not specialize in). This insight and honesty allowed us to have a practical idea of what to expect down the line when we do decide to do the project. Much appreciated!

We had some trees and shrubs planted in our back yard. Lars came out and helped us choose what we thought we wanted. He had some great suggestions that we hadn’t thought of. When the time came to plant everything it seemed to go off without a hitch. The guys that did the planting were great. Very professional and careful. They took great care in making sure that when all was said and done (planted) that the grass and beds were in great shape as good or better than when they arrived. We will make sure to use them for additional needs in the future. Even though the trees were planted in November everything looked very nice. Looking forward to the spring when all will be in bloom.

We worked with Eric Hagberg for our yard design and overall project management. During the entire time, he was very helpful, professional, prompt, and easy to talk to. We shared many thoughts and concerns along the way and Eric was always willing to make suggestions or take feedback and react to it quickly. The project was less than 2 months from the first time we met Eric until it was completed, yet we never felt that the quality suffered due to speed.
They worked within our budget and on the timeline we requested. We are incredibly satisfied with the work that was done as well as the experience overall. The great service did not end with the final bill, and the whole team there has continued to be responsive and helpful whenever we have had questions.
Thank you to Eric and everyone at Seven Dees for all that was done before, during, and after the project to make sure we were happy! We love our new yard and look forward to future projects with Seven Dees.
