Destroy is a pretty solid little local designer shop that sits quietly over on Burnside. Offering up a limited but fairly cool selection of shirts, shoes, hoodies, and the like, it’s definitely worth stopping by and checking out. I particularly dig one design they offer. It’s a take-off of a Trailblazer’s uniform design but says«Destroy» on the front in Blazer font and«Burnside» on the back where the player name would be. Fairly classic design. Picked one up for a friend and he’s always wearing the thing. I would have bought one for myself, but then I would run into too many circumstances where he and I would be wearing the same shirt, and the thought of that is just too uncomfortable to bear. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound cold, but this store is weak. It’s a small space, and they do a good job of filling it with alot of stuff, mostly t-shirts. Problem is, they clearly chose quantity over quality. I browsed through the place and didn’t see a single item I even wanted to consider buying. There were alot of graphic tees with prints that just tried waaaay too hard to be ironic and/or clever. At least ½ of them were. The rest were just tired designs. I wouldn’t waste my time stopping by here again, unless maybe I ate next door and needed to kill some time before my food arrived.

Newer addition to the small(but growing) Portland streetwear community. They carry their own brand(obviously) with a few others such as Addict, 100 Styles, and Homeroom. Small shop(compared to Compound/Upper Playground/etc) but seems to be adding new stuff regularly. You can also check the site for upcoming art shows.
