I brought my car here after the car in front of me backed into me and smashed my hood in a bit. Fix Auto arranged a rental car, fixed my car, and dealt with the insurance company completely seamlessly. They even cleaned the inside and outside of my car for me, which was amazing. Could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Very happy with the responsiveness and efficiency of the Fix Auto staff. My insurance company recommend Fix Auto to me after a minor crash with body damage. I appreciate that they gave me timely updates as to where they were in the process of repairing my car and it was finished by the time I had been quoted in my estimate.
Car accidents are never fun and almost invariably stressful and Fix Auto made the process of getting my car looking like new and back on the road as smooth as possible.

We had a VERY positive experience with a crash-​related repair about a year back. Responsive quote. On-​time delivery. Easy interactions. Solid work.
So, when a single bolt worked its way out of my door frame, I stopped in to ask Fix to take a look. Middle of a working day. Bay full of cars. I was there for literally 4 minutes.
The owner took a look, asked one of his guys to grab a bolt and a zip gun, and I was back in business. I IMPLORED him to at least let me pay for the part. Firm but polite refusal.
These guys are solid. Definitely our go-​to shop the next time we have a need.

I accidentally side-​swiped a light pole so I brought the dent to be evaluated by FIXX. The service representative was so helpful and brought out some wax and his own elbow grease to «erase» the scratch at NO CHARGE. I was so grateful and will definitely bring my car back in the unfortunate situation that I need more extensive work. Thanks FIXX!

Really a five star for the quality of work the local franchise did and for handling everything quickly and smoothly. I brought it back for a small little issue and was back on the road in less than 5 minutes.
The minus 1 star is for the repeated survey phone calls from the Fix Auto corporate office in San Diego harassing my girlfriend while she was working. Too bad, because I asked to have my name and contact info on the repair work instead of hers since I own the car, but they said they had to keep it that way. This would have prevented her from the calls at work for something she had nothing to do with other than calling Safeco to file the claim.
I really dislike corporate policies and quality control over the consumer and local business.

What can I say but this place was great! I went in for an estimate and left with my vehicle repaired FOC. (That’s free of charge for the acronym challenged…). Our vehicle was damaged by a parking barrier spike which pulled the bumper skin nearly off. I went in for an estimate and the manager on site said they could probably repair it. After about 20 minutes the technician was able to repair it and it looked just like it did beforehand. I should also add that another shop estimated the repair at just under $ 1,800. The manager wouldn’t accept payment so here I am sharing my experience with them. Highly recommend this place!

We had to get our van fixed and I am so glad we came here! We were so impressed with the quality of workmanship as well as the personal and friendly service. The staff asked pertinent questions, relieved our concerns, and even cleaned off a little spot of graffitti at no charge. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Tannis B.

My insurance company sent me here after I got run off the road by a cement mixer. I am new to the area, and USAA works with reputable companies so I went with Fix Auto. The damage wasn’t horrible, but there was a HUGE brown mark on my bumper from the tire of the cement truck, so I couldn’t tell how bad the damage was. When I went in for the estimate, the guy too the car in the back and came back with it looking perfect. It was just rubber from the tire and there was no actual damage to my car. They didn’t charge me a dime and sent me on my way. I appreciated the honesty and care.

I did something idiotic to the hood of my car. So I decided to have it looked at. I fully expected to be the butt of the joke when I walked into their shop, but I only received respect and empathy. They were able to buff and polish out the damage on my hood, and did it at no cost! Their customer base has grown +1 with me, for the next time I do something REALLY stupid to my car, I know where to take it!

Went with a broken mirror and they had it fixed in 10 minutes.
Great guys, friendly, quick, and professional. Was very pleased and would certainly recommend to friends when they need a body shop.

I went into this location because I’ve seen multiple of these establishments and I assumed that with so many of them, they must be doing something right.
This was my first time having to deal with a body shop so I went in there being very up front and telling them that the other person insurance would be covering the repairs they just needed an estimate. I even told them that I really had no idea how this really worked.
The guy that attended to me, could careless. He didn’t really reassure me about anything that would be happening to my car. I even tried to start small talk with him and nothing, He seemed to be annoyed at me or the day. But when he went back to his computed he seemed happy.
My rating is low not because of the work they would have done to my car (which was minor). But more because of the CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I let them know that I was unfamiliar with this process and he couldn’t give a sh*&*#.

They saved me a bunch of money and fixed my car SO quickly! Couldn’t ask for more of an autobody place! Thank you FIX!

i got a much better quote here on a replacement for my rear hatch locking mechanism. they used a new part versus refurbished but the labor was far lower than most quotes. and they were done in an hour just like they said they would be. going to take my husband’s car in the get trick door fixed as well.

So as a nice guy I took my car looking for estimates after a neighbor hit my door. It was small and did not want the bureaucracy of insurance. I ended up with Fix not because of the cost, they were not the cheapest. After sitting with them and talking, I felt they were the most qualified.
I recently brought them a lid to paint, since I backed into a parked car. Thinking I could just swap it out with the dented one, to save money. When I picked it up, they told me they could help me get it on if it did not fit right. Sure enough, I ended up having to going back to have them put it on. They were able to get the trunk to function until I can get the funds to have THEM properly fix my car.
It’s great knowing I can take a car to them and know I can afford their expertise.

Took my van in for insurance paid for repairs after an accident. I told them that I would be leaving for Mexico in a few days for two weeks and asked if they could hold the van after repairs until I got home. They said it would not be a problem.
Half way through my trip the calls started. First from them, calling twice a day to tell me the van was ready. I emailed them to remind them I was out of town. They ignored the email for several days and instead decided to continue to call me. Ugh.
What was worse was the harassment calls from a company in Orange County. They called before the van was ready, almost daily for a month after I picked it up and they called at all hours day and night. They called at hours that are illegal to make commercial calls in the state of Oregon. They never left a message and when I tried to return the call I got a «you reached a bad extension» message. What did this company want? They wanted a review. When I told them I was not going to give one, they gave me crap.
So now they get their review. There was nothing special about what they did to my van. A lot of places in town can do what they did. Harassing me is never OK. Avoid them and find someone else.

They did a great job on my car bumper. the car was in the shop a total of 3 days. prompt service, and they even waxed my car! service was friendly.

There are no words to eloquently describe the incredible job Mr. Chad Rice (Mgr.) and his crew did on my son’s car.
To say it looks better than new would be an understatement.
The shop is clean enough to eat from the floor, the ladies and gentlemen who work there are as superb as you could ever hope for in a world where we have come to expect less than the best people have to offer.
I would never consider going elsewhere if I find myself in need of auto repair in the future.
I highly recommend this establishment if you want the best.

When they were Lukas Auto they fixed my cars (Passat and Subaru) over the course of 10-​years. Probably 4 jobs, 2 were big ones. Always did a good job and seemed to be friendly and professional up front. I was READY to take my car again to get it repaired but they just don’t seem like they deserve my business. As of today, I guess I am no longer a customer…
They have a new name and I didn’t realize that meant they are a Canadian/​US chain now.
The hours for doing estimates according to «Chad» when he answered the phone are 7:30 to 5:00. I asked him if they had evening or weekend hours or could someone stay (like the owner) to do an estimate a little later and the answer was a flat «no».
I took my car here when Lukas was owned by a woman… sounds like the changes that have taken place might be because she sold it to her son JR.
Of course, the economy is down… times are tough etc. But when a business goes downhill it is usually because they start slipping on fundamentals: #1 fundamental is that customers are the reason you are in business, make sure your customer service people know that is why they have a job.
The process of attracting and keeping customers is certainly hard. Lukas/​Fix Auto is an example of how EASY it is to loose one through a few small actions.
Minus 1 for selling out to a chain/​franchise. Minus 1 for not being open past 5. Minus 1 for saying that «no one has ever had a problem getting their car to us in those hours before» and not sounding like he gave a damn.
Mackin’s Auto Body on NE Broadway/​NE 37^th is in my neighborhood, they have awesome Unilocal reviews, they are open til’ 6PM and the woman I just spoke to was friendly and easygoing. I’m going to give them a try.

I didn’t join a sorority because I’d heard urban legends of all of the terrible things they did during initiation — one of which was making you stand naked while they circled your fat for all to look, point, and laugh at.
Yesterday, I put my dear car — Ivana Honda, through this terrible ritual. Now I KNOW that this is what getting a damage estimate is all about — but it’s one thing when you assess the damage and move on — it’s quite another when you stand in front of the car’s owner, and literally berate the crap out of what disgusting condition her car is in — from the paint job to the body work. I was literally laughed at… and it’s the most uncomfortable I’ve been in quite some time.
So here’s my story:
I bought my car when I was 16. She was a $ 4,000 honda civic. Today, she has over 250,000 miles on her. She’s lived happily in downtown Seattle, downtown LA, and now downtown Portland — and I’ve never had ONE PROBLEM with her. I put gas in her, get her oil changed, and she goes. It’s BRILLIANT.
Needless to say, she’s gotten some bumps and bruises along the way… all of which I can honestly say never came from a fault of mine. But there comes a point when you decide that you’d rather just keep a little extra insurance money and only get the «necessary» fixes made… which was the plan with this most recent hit and run incident.
Let’s be honest — my car is a means to get from here to there, NOT a status symbol. Today, I was treated as if my car was somehow a reflection of ME — that because I had saved money on a cheap paint job, or gotten «hack job body work» done (to specifically quote…) that I was utterly pathetic.
Listen buddy — my car runs, and 10 years ago I paid $ 4,000 for her.
SO I saved money and bought a condo. I saved money and backpacked Europe. I saved money and took a trip around the world on a ship. I saved money and DIDN’T spend it on my car. So why do you have such a chip on your shoulder as walk around literally totaling my car?
To sum up — I cannot speak for the repair or painting services that Lukas provides. They may both be 5+ stars. But I have not ever felt as condescended upon by anyone as I did from my service agent yesterday.
