Updated in response to what Drew had to say. After a closer look at your site, you are right. I did not book the 45 minute shave. I did book the beard 15 minute trim only. That’s my mistake and I’ll take that particular part of my review back. Although I do think 35 is a bit high for a shave, that’s not the reason I booked the trim only; like I said that was an oversight on my part and take responsibility for my mistake. I never tried to «hustle» you over a shave at the time of my trim. Not once did I mention anything about this, because I thought maybe I had read something wrong. My time is just as, if not, more important than yours and this does not excuse you from being over 20 minutes late to an appointment that takes 15 minutes. While you’re doing what I could only assume, due to the smell, was taking a smoke; which by the way you should clean up after and not stink of it while you are with a customer. Lastly, it certainly does not give you the right to steal my five dollars that I never planned on tipping you for a mediocre job. And although five dollars is not much, it’s about the principle; where do you get off on assuming that a tip is coming? Update #2: You came down to take me? Refer back to my original review I was there about 10 minutes before my appointment and didn’t see anyone until 20 – 25 minutes later. Not once did I take my phone out to make or take any calls, this was my first appointment that I had made so I never canceled any appointment I had earlier. If that’s true, why do you post a picture of the cancelation? Stop making things up to make yourself look better; you don’t check what people pay you??? WTH? So if I would have given you 1 dollar we would have been ok? Yeah I’m not buying it. Way to advocate good business practices by not checking what people pay you and insulting a customer that pays your bills. I not once insulted you, but you have the need to lash out and it’s getting to you because you know it’s true; and I didn’t speak up at the time because you failed to provide a mirror to properly check your work another bad business practice on your part. Hopefully people will see this and know how shady you are.

I made an online appointment for 10am on a Saturday only 60 minutes prior. Found plenty of parking outside, grabbed a seat on the couch while Drew finished up a client, and I was in the barber’s chair shortly after 10am. Great haircut! Drew is a natural. I showed him a picture of what I liked and he was off to the races. Thirty minutes flew by while we chatted about football and all things Bay Area. The guy knows what he’s doing and I’ll definitely be back! My haircut is on point and I couldn’t be happier.

Incredibly fast, easy to book, nice location and haircut is always on point. Normally I go to another barber, but they’re always booked and not that fast when it comes to cutting hair. With Drew, its in and out, so I’m switching barbers. I like how its a single chair barbershop. Drew’s friendly and laid back. I booked an appointment in the afternoon. Drew, texts me the morning of, asking to reschedule. Not a problem. We settle on a time a couple hours after my original. Turns out he wanted to hit the golf range before heading to work. LOL. Anyways, he cuts my hair in about twenty minutes-it’s an undercut /fade. I notice he takes really good care of his equipment. Like cleans it right away after each use. When I reach to pay, he tells me it’s free of charge this time on account of making me reschedule. Not only that, he also hooked it up with a dope shirt.

Drew is a great barber. I was always skeptical of going to new haircut places. This was the best cut I ever got. For my entire life I have been always been going to super cuts and their hairstyles were always so generic. I’m so glad I broke that habit and found Drew. I didn’t know what type of haircut to expect from him. I just told him to make it look nice and he did an A+ job. He does a really good job at fades. I will definitely be coming back. I recommend anyone reading this to make no hesitations and book their appointment with Drew.

Being new to the Bay, I was in desperate need to find a good barber to style me up before my birthday weekend… Drew nailed it. He’s a master of his work. He asked me one simple question: «What are you looking to do?» All I said was«give me a fade and clean up the top.» and off he went. Just let him do his job and he’ll make sure you walk out of there happy. Even my gf complimented the cut, which is rare(high standards). Highly recommended! Thanks Drew!

I’ve been trying to find a place, for my husband’s beard and hair. I tried to do it myself, but the line, never looks straight and sharp as I wanted. Drew did a really good job and he is very friendly. Btw, he is also a dog lover and just, rescued a chihuahua.

Walked in with a beard that needed to be trimed and wildboy hair aha and left with a clean cut! Good reviews on Unilocal so ill check out Drew the barber. I had no idea what to get but I needed it clean for work. I was stoked how it all turned out. Beard/lineup on point fade vintage look. Definetly was somthing different than what I usualy get. You can see the detail and his experience of his skills he put in to his style of cuttin hair. Definetly will be back.

They say you catch more flies with honey, but if getting my hair cut by Drew the Barber has been any indicator, you catch way more honeys when you fly. When I was a younger lad, I used to be a one trick pony, as in I was dating this one trick but she was mad high maintenance and she thought she had Verizon confusing me with questions like«can you hear me now? are you high right now? Do you ever get nervous? Are you single?» I had no answers. I had no style. No confidence. No game. But something changed. What happened, you ask? I got my first haircut from Drew the Barber. I looked good. Real good. So I dropped that bad habit like a boost mobile phone-call on Bart. Long story short: before Drew became my barber, my life was in shambles. But now, Drew the Barber cuts my hair before every successful endeavor I’ve ever embarked on since I decided to pony up and start doing me. I got my first fade with the hard part and a beard-trim line-up for my 21st birthday party in the City of Sin, and the dance floor at Tao has some secrets not even the Strip wants to stay in Vegas. I’ve gotten your standard classic fade, sleek bald fade with a straight razor finish, a fade-hawk with some sweet racing stripes, and countless designs that have never before been created and will never again be duplicated. His haircuts are always crisp, always fly, always clean. It’s a well known fact that getting your haircut in a barber shop is superior to sitting in front of the mirror at one of those in-and-out mock salons where you don’t even know the name of the person with dazed dead eyes cutting your hair, let alone if those cold bony fingers holding that pair of rusty scissors have a license to do it or not. But what a lot of people complain about in barber shops is how long it takes to get your damn haircut, which isn’t the problem here. You get the quality of a professional barber without the idle waiting around of other barber shops. Getting cut by Drew is an investment for your immediate future. As an expert in his craft, he understands that time is money, and you get more than what you pay without losing your whole afternoon. That means more time to make moves for everybody involved. Recap: if you want to look fly, set up an appointment with Drew the Barber, ’cause when you look good, you feel good; and when you feel good… Good things are bound to happen.

If you want a clean cut, you must make that switch for Drew the Barber. He’s been cutting my hair for the past couple of years and I’ve followed him from Kingsley’s, Gypsy Rose and now at his own spot. His shop is located in Cannery Row. Inside BG Concepts, is a one man barber machine. Red and white tiles lay on the floors to give the vintage feel. Jazz posters adorn the walls to set the mood. Couches on the side are there so you can shoot the breeze while you wait. You pick the cut and the pro will do his thing. He’ll fade, line, and style your hair. He’s worked at salons so he’ll even cut your lady’s hair too! He’ll hook you up with tips and make you feel confident that you look like a mutha effin boss when you walk out of the shop. For me, I’ve never had a barber that I’ve gone to consistently until Drew. I’ve hopped from chair to chair and shop to shop. Finding a quality barber is hard in San Jose since every other corner you turn there’s a Kim’s or a Jenny’s Hair. I’m Vietnamese and my people do hair, but they won’t be able to do anything well past a fade or a bowl cut. If you want a pomp or a hard part combover, you need a barber. Drew is the barber that you’ve been looking for. He was recently featured in Metro Magazine: …

The boy drew has been cuttin my hair for about a year and a half. I don’t even tell him how I want it any more. He switches my style up with tight parts, bald fades, tapers and all that new shit before you see every one rockin it. The beard game stays on point though, that straighy razor is the truth. It’s a go, the kid has handles. One luv pimp. I’ll see you Saturday

Andrew has a very creative sense and it shows in his cuts. He has cut both my 16 year old son’s hair as well as my 75 year old mother! Check him out! We can’t wait for our next appointment!

I wouldn’t let anyone else cut my hair! I have a shoulder length very layered cut and side of it shaved. He always comes up with the most creative designs for me! He also cuts my dads hair! I’ve seen many of drews hair cuts and they are all cut to perfection!!!
