Prompt delivery, hot and fresh food. I got the salted pepper squid and it was seasoned perfectly!

Ordered from them because they offer delivery. We ended up picking up our meal regardless. After payment by card had been made we were informed it would be over an hour for delivery but 30 minutes for pickup. The food was terrible. Out of 6 different orders the most edible thing was the egg rolls. General tso chicken came recommended but was disgusting, fatty, slimy breading and terrible taste. BBQ pork was dry and inedible. I had to spit it out because of the rancid taste. Sweet and sour chicken was not good but at least edible. Broccoli and beef was tough, grey and loaded with garlic. Pork fried rice used the same terrible BBQ pork with the same horrible taste, inedible. Will never order again!!!

Placed an order on eat24 at 6:30 pm, for delivery by 7:30pm. At 7:37pm, I had not received my food, so I called the restaurant. They apologized for the delay and explained it would be an additional 20 minutes. At 8:33pm, I still had no food. I called the restaurant again, and they confirmed my order number and items ordered and said they would call me back. I received a call a few minutes later saying they had lost my order. I didn’t receive my food until 9:20pm. That’s roughly three hours from the time I ordered my food. Not happy.

I got a delivery order tonight and I was so disappointed! I ordered Broccoli off the Vegetable section, orange chicken, wonton appetizer and it came with white rice to share with my daughter for a girls night in. The only thing good about the meal was the rice an’#d fortune cookies. The wontons were filled with a tiny bit of something and were completely stale, the broccoli was overcooked and had a terrible flavor and the orange chicken was super soggy on the outside(kind of squishy or slimy) and one of the 3 pieces I ate was super dry inside(kind of like when you microwave something for too long). Anyway, with a 15% tip that was a SERIOUS waste of $ 30.00! I tried to eat the stale cold wontons because they were the only part of the meal I could stomach(my daughter loves these and she couldn’t eat it because it was too stale to easily bite off a piece(granted, she’s 2, but still!)) but I gave up on eating them too because they were gross. Anyway, I seriously should get my money back because it was so bad I wouldn’t even try again.

The lady is mean and racist. Don’t eat here. She’s unwilling to talk and answer questions and has a huge sign about not serving people she doesn’t want to. People went through lunch sit in’s in this country lady, you can’t be a racist with your customers.

My boyfriend and I ordered delivery. The delivery came at the time that they said it would. We got everything we ordered… However, we were not satisfied with the flavor/taste of the food. It’s sad to say, but it was the worst Chinese food I’ve had. It was flavorless. If there was some flavor or spice added to it it would have been better, but no. Sad kitty face.

Horrible food. The shrimp fried rice was burnt and flavorless, the crab puffs taste like deep fried deli burritos, and the general tso taste as if it was frozen than re heated.

Don’t get delivery. They are cheap and won’t deliver utensils/chopsticks/napkins(I’m visiting in a nearby motel). Drinking my soup is working OK. The rest, not so much. Food is very mediocre.

I’ve never heard of this restaurant because I’m never in this neighborhood, but they offer delivery so I said why not, let’s try. A lot more restaurants should offer delivery if you ask me. We’re 2 minutes away in a car and delivery took a little over a hour, that was a bit outrageous to me but since we ordered on they let us know how long it would take, and kept us updated! We ordered chicken and broccoli, shrimp and broccoli and salt and pepper prawns… YUUUUUM!!! the broccoli wasn’t over cooked, the food was fresh and lightly seasoned and the prawns were DELICIOUS!!! I’d definitely go back and order the same thing!!! So if you’re driving down sandy and you want some Chinese maybe you’ll like it too! Happy Unilocaling…

Ordered from grub hub to just try all the places around be that deliver. Order was 15 minutes late and had no flavor what so ever. The Szechuan Beef had no flavor at all and no spice, how can something with the name Szechuan Beef have no flavor! Everything was horrible except the spring roll. Delivery is 4 dollars which is more than the other places around me and the food gave me diarrhea I think from the massive amounts of flavorless oil all over the food.

1st time ordering, ordered online for delivery. I usually order from delivered dish but being a holiday the wait times were a little too far out tonight. The reviews on here weren’t great but the food was! read below: General Tso — really good, sauce is somewhat spicy but not so spicy you can’t taste your meal. sweet and sour chicken — texture and chicken are perfect(sauce was really good but I prefer canton’s brown sauce because it’s unique). Mongolian beef — really good, beef texture is perfect, soft but not mushy, easy to eat. Beef fried rice — Very good, the large pieces of beef make it something you could order as a meal if you wanted. Hot & sour soup — the best! one thing that is usually missing is the mushrooms, it has them! very flavorful, ample bamboo shoots, ample tofu. mildly spicy, doesn’t burn your mouth but will cure a cold. Orange chicken — the best! I have never had orange chicken like it! white meat, large breaded chunks smothered in sauce, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce had enough substance to it that the breading didn’t go soggy. Egg roll — the egg roll is what it is, not the best one I’ve had but was good. crab puffs — Very good, no grease dripping from them, no grease in the center, rich filling. BBQ Pork — very good texture and flavor. Fried shrimp — it was fried and it was shrimp, I liked that the tails were removed, the breading was sufficient, shrimp was cooked thoroughly. Notes: I ordered the majority of the food without veggies, S.O. is a picky eater, the lady from east garden called to make sure that we were aware some of the other items also came with veggies and wanted to know if I wanted them to be without, very helpful as I didn’t know. Driver was friendly and quick. Ordering online was quick and simple, they have large selection and it will take while to try everything, keep in mind when ordering the majority of the items ordered by themselves are a pretty large container.

We ordered over the phone and my wife went and picked it up. This is in our neighborhood so we figured why not. We were really disappointed when we started eating. The food was very bland. Even stuff was supposed to be spicey didnt have any real flavour besides heat from the peppers. Wont be ordering from there again. Luckily we have several in our neighborhood

First off, the driver was really nice and very cool. They forgot my soda and chopsticks and made a whole extra trip to bring them too me. Very few complaints… The pot stickers were pretty nasty. They were over-plump and freezer burned, and the fried shrimp still had the tails on. Other than that, the experience was great. I will buy again… Just not the pot stickers.

Ok, getting Chinese food delivery in East Portland is pretty rad, especially when you don’t have a car. Service was friendly and arrived about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. However, the food was pretty substandard, and I’ll eat just about anything. Sweet and sour pork was tough, rubbery, and had raw onions and carrots thrown in. The beef in my beef and broccoli was mushy and barely resembled meat in texture or flavor. The fried shrimp, bbq pork and rice tasted pretty good though. Overall I’ve had better Chinese food in the mall, to be honest. Now my stomach is doing cartwheels, but my wife says she feels fine. Maybe it’s just a manifistation of my disappointment. Doubt we’ll be trying this place again, even though they DO deliver…

Something BAD has happened at East Garden Restaurant! the area in which I currently reside(between Portland and Gresham) is well known for its very(very!) limited food delivery options. i drive by this joint every day and let’s just say it is not a place i have ever felt compelled to try out. when I found out east garden delivered AND I could order online I figured I’d give them a chance. The first time I ordered was wonderful! it must have been about 4 – 5 months ago. after I placed my order online I received a confirmation phone call to insure my order was correct and I was given an estimated delivery time which turned out to be exact. the food was delivered hot, fast, and by a very friendly young man. our food looked good and turned out to be surprisingly delicious. I was really impressed. second time, same scenario. exactly the same. ordered different dishes than the first time and they were all great. i tipped my super nice driver fat and sat down to some great Americanized Chinese food. i was so pleased to have found a place that delivers some really good eats! that was about 3 – 4 months ago. but then… last week i again ordered online. hmm… no confirmation phone call? okay well it’s Friday so maybe they are really busy. about an hour later i can hear someone banging on my neighbors door. i walk outside to find a car parked in the middle of the street and can see delivery guy across the street at the neighbors house and he is POUNDING on the door, on their windows(!!!) and i keep shouting to him«hey! over here!» this is not cool — i had given very explicit and easy to understand direction to my house when i ordered. my home is very easy to find even though it is set back off the street, and i have TWO driveways which was noted in the directions. waking up the neighbors at 10pm is not acceptable. we finish our transaction and i go to my kitchen anticipating what was to come. big mistake. my order: egg rolls. previously huge and very tasty. this time, much smaller and so greasy, SOGREASY, that the container was filled at least a quarter full of smelly, rancid, burnt grease. cut one in half to find it was not the same filling as before. tried one bite and thought it tasted like rotten vegetables. very rotten vegetables. upon further inspection the insides were brown! threw them away. not a good start. Mongolian beef: previously perfect. loads of tender, *spicy* beef with the appropriate amount of well-cooked vegetables. this time– a few measly chunks of WAY over-velveted chewy, super fatty beef and a whole lotta onions with so many hot peppers it was deemed inedible by the kid and myself. and we love the heat! but come on! total waste. salt and pepper prawns: hadn’t ordered before. certainly never will again. a few«prawns,» uncleaned, way overcooked, and again — so many onions and barely any other vegetables at all. so much salt it was completely unedible. i eat a lot of chinese salt and pepper ‘whatever’. this was not edible at all. chicken in garlic sauce: ummm… super thick, cornstarch to-the-max, barely any garlic at all, flavorless sauce on some old, old, old hard and rubbery and soggy(all at the same time!) chunks of chicken. it looked disgusting, it smelled disgusting, and the teeny bite i took of it tasted disgusting. so i wrote all of that to tell you that i put $ 40 worth of food into my trash and ate a bowl of cold cereal instead. i don’t know what has happened up there but judging by the other recent terrible reviews it’s not anything good. new cook? new owners? who knows. i will not ever order from there again. dammit!

Me and my girl got take out. We are vegetarians. Got vegetable Lo mien and vegetables in a hot garlic sauce and rice $ 18. Tasted«ok» but the stomach cramps and pissing outta the ass 9 hours later. Priceless. Guess I should have thought twice when I walked in and not a single person was eating there. Not a one! Been in the bathroom at least 6 – 7 times already. So please, if you love diarrhea… Dig in!

I’d like to boost their rating up a bit… I ordered from them for the 1st time yesterday. They are a bit pricey, but their selection was very nice. Some things were okayish.(I wished they would’ve doubled up on my sweet and sour sauce rather than a single cup of cocktail sauce and a cup of sweet and sour but whatevs) Their BBQ pork was by far the softest and most flavorful that I’ve had before from anywhere which is definitely a big surprise for me. My other gripe is the sweet and sour shrimp — I should have realized it was breaded beforehand. That breading soaks up the sauce and just goes soggy — its a terrible idea for a dish but sooo many different variants exist to where the crispy coating just goes soggy. Despite my gripes, I give it a great rating because overall the meal was excellent — I enjoyed the Happy Family entrée and the Pork fried rice very much and would definitely order from them again.
