Ugh, owner is a jerk. Was very short with visiting family and didn’t seem interested in earning out business.

Awful food. I went there expecting decent authentic Italian food, given there aren’t many options in Portland. The shrimp was very undercooked. I had to fight the urge not to get sick, honestly. The person I was with also got shrimp with their meal and had the same experience. The waiter was okay. The owner seemed nice enough. Did feel pressured on numerous occasions to order wine. I wouldn’t recommend nor go back.

The food tastes so authentic and fresh. Less choices for vegetarians. I liked the full dishes than the buffet.

I stopped by today with my mom and young daughter for lunch. We hadn’t planned on Enzo’s but as we were strolling Alberta we decided to try it. SOGOOD! I give this place 5 stars because the food was so tasty. The atmosphere needs a little work. The server and chef(possibly father/son owners?) were friendly but probably have not been trained in hospitality and service, and we could tell. By that didn’t matter to me, and did not lessen our experience. Anyway, about the food! We shared the bruschetta, which had such great flavor and was served on their home made bread. The Margherita pizza was tasty and fresh, excellent pizza sauce. I had the plain spaghetti tossed with olive oil, garlic, and Roma tomatoes. This dish was amazing! It was too small of a portion for a simple dish, but my gosh it was good. Again, the flavors were bursting and the homemade noodles were fresh, dense, almost chewy. I would order that again in a heartbeat! I’d definitely recommend trying this place, I’m in full support of them trying to develop their business and become a major contender on Alberta!

I called ahead to make sure we wouldn’t be waiting for a table, as this restaurant is small. We had no problem with getting a table and service right away when we walked in the door. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, Italian wine selection, and top notch service! We had the fettucine profumati, linguine di mare, tiramisu, and a bottle of white wine. The bread, pasta, and tiramisu were all freshly prepared in house, and all were delicious. I am very picky when it comes to Italian food, after having lived in Italy for several years. I will definitely be going back and bringing friends! Grazie!

We had a very disappointing dining experience here. The food was mediocre and the service was dismal. However, the baker was a delight, generous, outgoing, and a sweetheart. We would only ever go back to chat with him and eat his baked goods. The only reason this restaurant gets any stars is because of the delightful Italian baker.

Our first visit to Portland and wanted a delicious Italian restaurant to eat and celebrate our anniversary! Everything is made fresh from the bread, cheese, lasagne/pasta and desserts. The ambiance is romantic, food is super fresh and the wine delicious! What more can you ask for… and of course the service was great! If only we lived here, this would be our go to spot for sure! A must try for those in Portland! By The Way — no one was rude or snooty at all, it is a family run restaurant by authentic Italians. If you’re open to accents and culture, you’ll have a great experience!

I arrived thirsty and didn’t receive water until after ten minutes I asked and was pressured«sparkling water ok?» So I said sure. I got an 8oz bottle of san pellegrino($ 4) then was peddled appetizers. The food was alright, maybe like the 8th best Italian in Portland but the service was uncomfortable in a forceful way. After buying $ 60 of mediocre(and overpriced even for italian) food, the waiter still made us uncomfortable about not buying wine, dessert, or even asking for some water. Go to Lucca, Mucca Osteria, or Ciao Vito instead.

The food was delicious. The server made me feel uncomfortable about asking for tap water. He suggested sparkling water to my boyfriend when he asked for water and he felt pressured to agree and then later when I didn’t get any water I asked for some and the server was snooty and eventually brought me water. We got the appetizer he suggested and after that and our main meal he made us feel guilty for not ordering dessert. I would love to come back for the food but the Italian snobby waiter ruined the whole experience. I would only recommend this restaurant if you like good Italian food and you don’t mind a snooty atmosphere.

Nice outdoor seating café on Alberta, friendly service, house made pastas and bread. The bread was dense, homemade, and good. Served with olive oil and balsamic, great start. All wines served are from Italy, also a plus. The wine list was pretty extensive, but seemed a little pricy compared to other places. The salad we had was different but good. It was the chopped celery, tomato, peppers, arugula with fresh mozzarella cheese. Great light and simple dressing! We tried 2 fresh pasta dishes. The spaghetti with clams was good but needed a little more flavor for our taste. More spice, perhaps red pepper flakes? Still good with a nice broth. The rigatoni was the second dish. Also very good, but both dishes lacked the WOW factor. So many places to try in Portland, that It may be a while before we come back, but worth checking out.

We really liked the food so we thought we would go here again to celebrate a special occasion. This time we had our baby in the infant car seat with us. The restaurant is supposed to close at 10pm on a Monday night and we reached there at 9.15pm. The restaurant was empty except one table with a family. There were a few more customers in the patio. The moment we went in the owner came out and said we are closed. When we mentioned the 10pm time they said yes but today we are very busy. make a reservation next time! We said that the restaurant looks empty though. to that the owner said we’ll also our oven is not working. But other customers had their bread and other food from the oven! So we mentioned that and he said well no we are just closed. I am not sure what was the reason and why were we refused service but it was rude and we won’t be coming back!

Very pricey(3 raviolis for $ 30); bottle of wine had dregs(was stored vertically); excellent mushroom and asparagus entrée; very friendly servers. No minestrone soup. But the family had a wonderful time.

Had a great experience, called for a late takeout … They took care of everything and then some, even though they were closing in 20 mins. The gentleman I talked to seemed to be the owner or manager and was nothing but accommodating. They also sent us out with what seemed to be a whole loaf of delicious baked crusty Italian bread! I will be going back this week a bit earlier to check out their extensive and amazing wines! Just finished eating and everything was fantastic!

Enzo’s is the place to go if you want authentic Italian in portland! My family was visiting from New York and we stumbled along Enzo’s since it was in the neighborhood… what a gem! The food is amazing and Michelo(Im probably spelling it wrong, sorry!) is the friendliest host and server you will ever meet. The service was excellent; we were never left waiting for our drinks or food. They have homemade bread, cheese, and pasta! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you Enzo’s and Michelo for an amazing night!

Hands down the best most authentic Italian food I’ve had on the west coast, and I frequent LA and San Fransisco. Food and service were excellent. I see a few complaints about the price, but it is a steal for food of this quality. I live just down the street so this is sure to become a regular haunt.

This is the best Italian food I’ve ever had. My husband and I have lived in the Alberta area for 7 years and I’m tempted to say this was the best dining experience we’ve had in our neighborhood(or Portland as a whole?) and we eat out at a lot of popular local places. Everything we had was fresh and made in house, and it shows. The bread was fresh and fluffy, the sausage in my pasta was so flavorful; it didn’t give me that greasy feeling I normally expect from sausage. Burrata salad… holy wow that is the best salad ever, and they even make their own mozzarella cheese. Oh and they make the best pasta too, it makes you realize you’ve never had real pasta before, and THIS is why people love Italy and their pasta dishes. Now I get it. They also had an amazing wine selection straight from Italy. Everyone working was so fun and pleasant, the service was such a nice change from the norm. I felt like I was in a small family run café in Italy eating the best meal of my life. AND to top it all off, we showed up at 7pm on a Saturday night and there was no wait. It was busy, but still, no wait. They also have really cool lights hanging from the ceiling that made it feel very cozy and intimate. Absolutely love this place, Enzo’s is a new favorite.

We found this place on Unilocal and decided to give this place a try since they had so many great reviews. Came there on Sunday night at 830pm and it wasn’t crowded at all. We were greeted by a gentleman outside and he sat us down. My husband actually saw something on Unilocal that wasn’t on the menu, we asked them if they could make it and they said absolutely. The kids and I also ordered things that weren’t on the menu and they were so accommodating. They said that if they have it, they can make it. — Seafood platter — fish, clams, jumbo shrimp, mushrooms. The seafood was so fresh and the shrimp was topped off with fresh cherry tomatoes and chili pepper. Such an amazing dish. — Eggplant parm — this was in a smaller pot with fresh eggplant and basil in a tomato sauce. Delicious! — Meat ravioli — the ravioli was made fresh and packed with meat with a white sauce. The kids loved it so much, they wanted more. The restaurant is a very cute place and the staff was great, they treated us like family and it was such a special experience for us. We felt like we were a part of an Italian family and it was a lot of fun!

The food and service were amazing! We had a bottle of Sangiovese to start. PLEASE order the homemade Burrata salad!!! The lasagna and rolled beef w/polenta were phenomenal. The lasagna wasn’t covered in a bunch of flavorless sauce, it had enough flavor in its own. It had a touch of smokiness to it that I LOVED. The rolled beef was amazzzzing. The beef fell apart with the side of my fork and the ragu was hearty. We were visiting from out of state but cannot wait to return to portland for some authentic Italian food again soon!!!

The wife and I had a very pleasant, romantic dinner here. The food was amazing. Homemade bread, burrata & pasta. The pasta is made to order. We got the carbonara & lasagna, both were amazing, but the lasagna was possibly the best we’ve ever had. We had cannoli desert, accompanied with some limoncello, and it all pretty much rocked. Friendly service, VERY reasonable prices, good wine, and a very cozy atmosphere. We plan on going here a lot in the future. It’s a nice break from the trendy fusion madness — just straight up delicious Italian food.

I went here for a friend’s birthday dinner. I’m not a huge fan of Italian food in general, but this place was pretty good. I do like it if the ingredients are really fresh and the entrees are simplistic. They make their pasta in house. They served us some Limoncello and some blood oranges at the end! The tiramisu was good. They make their bread in house and serve it with some oil and balsamic. I can’t remember the last time I ate so much bread. It’s FANTASTIC. Pretty sure the server was amazed at how many servings of bread our group of girls was able to eat.
