It was good to finally try Floyd’s. They’ve been on the list of coffee places to try for a while. I really liked that they had lavender syrup. I didn’t like that an extra shot costs $ 1. That’s a bit much. I decided on a 12 oz lavender latte. It was okay, but I’ve had much better 12 oz lavender lattes. I do appreciate that they have a BOGO Chinook Book coupon. That was excellent.

Very disappointing breakfast burrito. 1. Skin on breakfast burrito came off 2. Was scalding hot 3. Not a good ratio of eggs to salsa – need for salsa 4. The saga continues

I have been wanting to come her since I moved to Portland in January, but they close early, so I never had a chance. Now that I lost my job, I have plenty of time(is anyone hiring mechanical engineer with hydraulics experience?)There is nothing not to like about Floyd’s except the space is small. My drink was good, the music was good and not too loud, and people are nice. Out is a relaxing atmosphere that good for studying and working.

Typical Portland hipster coffee shop mix, nothing much to say about the décor, decent number of seats. But goddamn, $ 3.75 for possibly the worst iced coffee I’ve ever had. I would never go out of my way to come here.

What a sight for sleepy eyes. Bright but warm at 6:30am and eith a display case of pastries and donuts, I had a mocha with an extra shot and a warm pre-made burrito in my hands in just about two minutes. what a great way to start a morning! Not terribly large but open seating area and some tables out front. It’s in my hood and on the way to work, I expect to have many stops here…

Nice neighborhood coffee shop. .. there’s a half-dozen two tops on the left, a counter with a half dozen barstools or so along the front window, and a seating area with a couch and 3 poofy chairs. The counter you order from is in the back right corner. A bit of an awkward placement since there’s no good way to queue up when it gets busy, but that’s a nitpick. Breakfast burritos are a deal at $ 3.75. Lately, I’ve been searching for places with counters that I can stand at since I find myself preferring to stand when working on the laptop, and the counter along the front window works perfectly for this. Plenty of outlets too. I stopped in on a Saturday around noon and worked for a few hours. Pretty quiet with a few other folks on laptops, and a slow but steady stream of traffic. Wifi was consistent. I’ll be curious to check it out during the week to see if it works out well.

This is a cozy little place with an okay bench and tables to work at. The décor is kitchy. There are a few couches and recliners crammed together to sit at and there is a bar with stools looking out the window. The drinks are your regularly overpriced fair of coffee and tea. The pastries are also over priced. There is some outdoor seating. The customer service is hit or miss. The worst part of this place is the wifi. I think they get most of their clientele because there really is no where else close by to go to. It is constantly overloaded and stalling out. If you are in the area and have no where netter to go then sure. However, I bet you would prefer to walk a bit and find better.

I come here almost every weekday, as I am a student across the street at OCOM. I have a request: could you guys Please please please buy hemp milk, or UNSWEETENED almond milk? I have stopped coming as much, because the regular almond milk pacific brand, is loaded with sugar! I would be coming here so much more if you had unsweetened almond milk. Or even hemp milk. Thank you!!!

Floyd’s is where you go when you want great coffee without a lot of fuss. It’s a small shop, serves Stumptown. Their menu is simple — coffee, americano, latte, etc. You’re not going to order a mochachino here. Large selection of pastries and bagels, homemade breakfast burritos that are cheap and delicious. I always get fast and friendly service. Free wifi, bathroom, tables for working. It’s not huge, but rarely overcrowded so I don’t have problems finding a place to sit. It’s open all the time and they have outdoor seating too.

This has to be the slowwwwest coffee shop in Portland. I have decided to find another coffee shop a little further away even though this one is close to my job. I could make up the time going to another coffee shop. I’m not sure what the problem is but waiting in line sometime 10 minutes just to get a drip coffee to go is unacceptable.

I may be sitting in a coffee shop, but i have yet to have any coffee, so my wit-levels are at a typical decaffeinated low. Thus, a bullet point review: * Always good music. In fact, some of the best coffee shop music I’ve found in PDX. * Always good coffee. It looks like they typically brew Stumptown, but I can’t be sure if they mix that up on occasion or not. * Even though the«chorizo» is vegetarian, the breakfast burritos are on point! At $ 3.75, it’s not too huge, but the price is right and I’m not a big breakfast guy in the first place. They also sell fruit, which I wish all coffee shops did. Sometimes you just want a banana, amiright? * A cozy environment. It doesn’t even bother trying to be as hip as a lot of the 3rd Wave shops in town, which at times is refreshing. It’s comfortable, with plenty of tables and a sofa area. * Free wifi and ample electric outlets! They’re friendly to the Laptop-working man! Long story short, I’m a fan. Overall, a pretty dang pleasant experience. Now let me finish my coffee.

I recently moved from Seattle, and was feeling a bit homesick. Also a little weirded out by the friendliness of Portlanders. Having recently moved in around the corner, I decided to stop by Floyd’s on a recent Sunday morning. I waited at the counter for two awkward minutes while the barista chatted with a regular seated 10 feet away. At first I wondered if I had been hit by a tri-met bus and I was just walking the earth as a spirit-being, but then I realized I was in fact alive, and home. Thank you, Ms. Barista. Not for making a coffee or anything, but for making me feel right at home.

I just moved into a building around the corner, so I’ve been coming here a lot lately on my way to work. The quality if the coffee is really good, but it’s honestly the only thing that keeps me coming back. The baristas are notably smiley, but that’s not to be confused with nice or friendly. They pay LOTS of attention to regulars and friends that come in, but very little to run of the mill folks. I often have to repeat my order if a 20oz drip coffee multiple times, because they only half listen. The service is really slow and overall I feel like even though the baristas may like their job, they don’t actually give a shit about most of the customers. It’s kind of shame. I’d be in damn near every day if I felt like I was actually welcome there

This used to be one of my go-to coffee shops on the way to work. As of today, no longer. Floyd’s used to be a great shop, the former two hip and attractive baristas made it that way. They were beautiful, friendly, courteous and most importantly QUICK at making coffee during rush hour. Now, with the two dudes that work there, you can expect to wait up to 15 – 20 minutes for a coffee during the 8 – 10AM rush hour in Portland. If you’re a Portlander with a loose, work-at-home schedule who can just laze around waiting for and sipping coffee, this is your place. If you need to get coffee and make it on time to work, this is not a place for you. Certainly not a place for me anymore. You guys would be DOA on the east coast.

I freaking LOVE this coffee shop. To start, they have the most amazing breakfast burritos on the planet. Hands down. I always used to consider a tasty breakfast burrito to be my white whale. Well, Moby Dick can suck it. Further, they serve Stumptown and make damn good iced lattes. They also carry raw simple syrup which is practically miraculous. What else to love? If you’re staying in, a big mug of java is only $ 2.25 and comes with a free refill. Half the price of carrying a large out. Oh, and they have fast, reliable free wifi. Tons of plugs. Plugs along the wall, plugs at your feet at the bar on the window. About the only downside is after about five hours of coding your butt really starts to hurt on those benches. :-)

I might take a date to Floyd’s, but that’s about it. It’s a good clean, quiet space to have a nice chat. The problem is that more often than not, i’m not on a date. I’m there to drink coffee, study, read etc. The barista’s are passable, except the part where they tend to forget to announce my mocha/coffee is up, and wrapped up in a book it sits there and get’s cold until I snap out of my book-trance. I’m also unimpressed with the minimum charge on debit, compounded by the lackluster pastry in the display. With good donuts maybe, I’d buy them and not really care about the charge, but I’d rather go to Safeway for donuts than eat these. If you like the chewy goodness of a NY style bagel though, Floyd’s has that going for them.

I’ve only been once, but it seems like a not too crowded, quiet to low-noise place to hang out. Décor is cute. Drip coffee was good, if you like that. I haven’t tried the burrito yet; it’s hard not to eat at Zell’s just down the street if I want breakfast. That is another good thing about Floyd’s: it’s a nice extension of a meal at Zell’s.

Floyd’s is my favorite. I like the black and avocado green vintage linoleum tile floor. The red sofa, the lit pinball machine panel as art behind the condiment table which is decorated with layers of old matchbook covers. I like gazing outside and seeing one or another dog tied to the tree waiting for it’s owner. The coffees are always good and the counter staff has always been nice. I especially like the spicy chai. Delicious. And they have a good head for music: no jarring nasty stuff to prove they heard it before you did… just obscure or interesting, new or old tunes that enhance your coffee drinking experience.

It’s a cute little coffee shop. Baristas aren’t super friendly bit coffee is great, cookies are good and I believe they also have a breakfast menu. What’s more is this is a nice quiet curbside café to get your caffeine on without feeling too much hustle and bustle.

Thank you Google Coupon, or whatever they are calling their version of Groupon. The very first day your offer was for Floyds Coffee Shop I was happy to bite knowing that $ 3 for $ 10 worth of stuff I buy anyway is a good deal, but now that I’ve been there, I am even more happy with your stellar introduction to the world that is Portland. Floyds Coffee Shop is quintessential of all that I love about Portland. –Stumptown Coffee! –Free Wife! –Great people as customers. –Friendly dogs outside for me to pet. –Comfortable seating inside. –Plenty of outside tables for those of us who must bask in the sun on the rare occasion it makes an appearance. –Not sure whose scones and cookies you sell, but the ones I tasted were really yummy and fresh! You were out of Kettleman’s bagels and your breakfast burrito, but who can blame you when you just ran this great promotion 2 days ago and it’s already 2 or 3pm? I’ll be back for sure, now that I know you exist, and in one of my favorite neighborhoods.
