Simple, casual dining experience that is complimented by a beautiful view of the Tomahawk Bay Marina located on the east end of Haden Island. This is the perfect place to finish a day of sailing on the Columbia River. The smell of their outdoor grill permiates the air around this tiny gem. Friendly service, reasonable prices and lots of outdoor seating on their wrap-around deck. They specialize in a vast array of amazing burgers that will keep you coming back. Impress all your friends this summer and invite them to meet you at The Hidden Bay Café. You will not be disappointed.

Very ordinary clam chowder… Thin with chunks of potatoes. Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. Staff has their head down just plodding thru their day. Oh well…

Did a search on Unilocal for outdoor seating and this place popped up. Definitely a hidden gem for the hungry(no wait for breakfast on a sunny Sunday) and a great view of the marina from the patio. Do they have an expansive menu? No, but the breakfast offered on Sunday was good, came out fast, and left us stuffed. They’re not shy about keeping the bottomless mimosas flowing either. We’ll be back for sure on another sunny weekend day soon.

Yay! Come for the experience. Sit outside under cover in the rain with the propane heater blasting. Full bar, beers, burgers, taco salad… The food is fine. Not there for the food… The atmosphere is so uniquely marina/moorage. Like being on vacation, but only miles from home. She says she makes a good Spanish coffee… Challenge accepted next visit!

Four star breakfast because of the family feel and bottomless mimosas! You just get the plate of food they are serving that day but it’s yummy and if you don’t have picky eater or restrictions then it’s all good! We live near by so love to go in Sunday morning.

Hidden Bay Café was one of the most pleasant restaurants I been to in a long time. You can go to Red Robin and pay $ 9.00 for a good Burger or you can go to Hidden Bay Café and pay $ 9.00 for a great Burger and a much better atmosphere. The music is current and the view is immaculate. The name«Hidden» is the perfect name. Seeing how this Café is not an easy find. Over looking the Marina and the porch grill they cook on, gives you time to absorb the ambiance. The mixed drinks are a good bonus to a good brunch, lunch, or dinner. Not to mention the daily specials(when they are not sold out). This is a great place(though small and Deli like), worthy or your time for breakfast, lunch or Dinner. Check it out! I am sure you will enjoy as I have.

Add a star if you’re not hampered by food allergies. The view from the intimate deck is stunning, and we lucked out on sunny Saturday morning for a second breakfast. It was too early for the lunch menu – 11am – so we had to order the one breakfast they offered. It’s a really small space, so I get it. The staff was friendly and efficient – we ordered at the counter, but they only offered one option for breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and French toast. My husband said it was all good. I needed to opt out on the eggs and French toast because of egg and gluten issues. My food was fine, and it’s the way I eat at home, but I was hoping for room to experiment – maybe even gluten free toast. We didn’t come here for the coffee, which was a good thing because the coffee was watery and thin. But we didn’t truly come for the food either – we came for the view of the bay and the boats, and this place didn’t disappoint. We sat on the deck in the sun and enjoyed the privacy. The inside tables were busy-ish with people talking in a small space – I can imagine it gets loud and lively there. We’ll come back for lunch to try a bigger menu. For the reviewers who brought large parties to this place and then complained about the service, I gotta wonder at their judgment – this is clearly not the place for parties over 4 – 5 people unless you rent it out. Even then, there’s a key for the bathroom. There are other restaurants that answer the challenge of large parties better than this lovely little gem.

All time favorite breakfast spot on Saturday and Sunday. Great view, awesome staff! They also have a great grilled lunch.

Not nearly as exciting as its island counterpart, the Island Café. But this place does stay open year round. The inside space is quite small but exterior seating is nice, weather permitting. The menu is limited but decent. The staff are always friendly.

Go to relax and enjoy the view. Great burgers hot off their outdoor BBQ. Limited menu, but great relaxing atmosphere. Don’t expect fancy or fast.

Edit: after a 1 hour, 15 minute wait for two burgers that never arrived this past weekend I have downgraded my review. No more weekend visits for us. Review below is accurate for most weekdays. I struggled a bit with rating this place as we know exactly what to expect when you go there… i almost did 4 stars but thats really not accurate or fair to other places ive reviewed. anyhow…this is a marina bar. What you will get is a burger and chips pretty much just like you’d do on your own grill. Nothing fancy, but its very consistent and thats what we like about it. its a quirky spot… and as others have pointed out its tough to find. Drive as far east as you can on tomahawk then turn left into the columbia crossings parking lot, café is marina side of the building. on every night except Fridays, you go in and order at the counter. Ive never paid at time of order… always come back in and settle up. Fridays there will be a guy with a guitar, steaks available, and table service instaed of ordering at the counter. This is a bit baffling even as a regular, but it is what it is. Saturdays and Sundays they have a brunch– i havent done it but its just what is being cooked that morning, nothing cooked to order. They are open until dark. Usually crowded on Friday and Saturday nights with locals that prefer it to the place up the street, so we go a little early to avoid the crowds. You wont get an extended dialogue with your server. This place is minimally staffed and the staff is just there to take your order at the counter and bring you the food hot off the grill. It is usually around 10 minutes to get your drinks and another 20 to get your food. Knowing this, it fits with what we enjoy which is a bit of privacy, a nice marina view, and unintrusive service. Price wise for two burgers and 4 mixed drinks it will run in the $ 40-$ 45 range. Its really not a dining destination but I appreciate it for what it is and theyve taken our business away from the place up the street.

The view of the marina in the spring and summer is really great. Burgers are very good, made on a BBQ on the deck. They do amazing work considering the tiny area they have for preparation and cooking. It would be great if they had more selection, but honestly for what they achieve, their friendly attitude, and the awesome view, they deserve five stars.

Went to Hidden Bay Café after long lines at a different restaurant/bar, what a great little hidden gem! The service was GREAT! The drinks were GREAT! The food is good, it is more BBQ style, burgers and chips. There are only a couple of people working at a time so if you are in a huge hurry I wouldn’t recommend it but it was perfect for having a cold beverage outside and catching up with friends! I will defiantly return!

Wouldn’t recommend if you are really hungry and in a rush. Firstly, quite hard to find(guess the name isn’t joking) Secondly, only have one menu option and you can choose full or half order. Disappointing to me to say the least. With some good reviews, I expected at least a full menu.

Here I am again at the request of my Dad for his birthday. The first time here, I didn’t do a review but this time I will. The Café is very hard to find even when you think you know where you are going. Basically it at the very east end of Tomahawk Island Dr, come to Sundance Marine and look left to see the small sign. The restaurant is on the back side of the building. The view is what brings people here, with a view of the river and boats that are docked at the marina. The food is standard sandwichs, burgers, a few salads and such. I had the Salmon Burger which was good for $ 8.95 but it just comes with chips. I had the Swiss & Mushroom burger last time that was also good. The prices here are a little much for the food and you have to order at the counter. In all, if the weather is good then come and relax and enjoy the view.

Harbor boats galore in this spot. We walked ourselves basically across the street from Island Café to take a peek at this little café. They’ve got the boat view but not the river. It’s relaxing enough. You order your food inside and it’s pretty basic deli type food you read off their menu on the blackboard. We only stopped for one last margarita before we left the heat and headed back to town.

If you want to wait 25 mins for a bowl of soup and eat pretty good potato soup with lots of pepper so you can sneeze your bum off & a few very very small pieces of clam then you have found the place! Btw, I ordered Clam Chowder and it wasn’t busy yesterday only 2 other tables. Oh well, nice view, service was stiffy, no one made eye contacts because they were too busy talking to each other.
