I have bought my dogs her over many years. The owner is kind and compassionate. I will never go any where else. She does a great job

We chose to go see Jackie because she was in our neighborhood. I thought long and hard about writing a review because Honestly there not is not much good to say. When I arrived for my 8am appt there was another woman waiting as well to make a payment because Jackie only accepted cash, but Jackie did not show up until after 8:40, saying oh I thought you were coming at 8:30. The environment of her shop is FILTHY, the windows are full of plants many of them dead, there was magazines and papers and dirty rags and other things stacked on open crates, and I couldn’t see the room she was going to groom my dog in, which concerned me considering what the front lobby area looked like. I should have listened to my gut and walked out then but I didn’t because Jackie is a BIG TALKER BOASTING ALL HER EXPERIENCE, Even to the point of telling us we should wash our dogs harness, which I thought was interesting from someone who was disheveled herself and worked in a filthy environment. I then made it VERY~ VERY ~VERY clear how I wanted my dog to look, even showing her pictures, explaining I didn’t want her too short, telling her of a horror experience we had with one groomer where they shaved her so close we could see skin, so I SPECIFICALLY DID NOT WANT TO SEE ANY SKIN… THAT WOULD BE TOO SHORT! So After waiting nearly all day I finally called and she had her almost done and for $ 65 I got my dog back SHAVED~ SHAVED ~SHAVED TO THE SKIN in many places, she was cut all uneven around her face and she did some VERY WEIRD CUT around her ears basically cutting offi half the hair closest to the head so he ears have been completely out of balance looking like half the hair is missing for months. I also told her DO NOT ~DO NOT ~DO NOT in any way cut on her tail (she has a gorgeous long feather plume tail that is hear trade mark) I said only brush it out… So instead she shaved all around about 2 inches where tail connects to the body and cut off a bunch of her tail hair (i presume she thought she was trimming it)! I was SO HORRIFIED and MORTIFIED that I could hardly SPEAK wanted to SCREAM at Jackie and refuse to pay as she was boasting more things to us about how we care for our dog that I literally was SPEECHLESS and could say nothing I just shoved some cash in her hand and couldn’t get out of her shop fast enough before I burst into tears when I got into my car and I CRIED ALL THE WAY HOME seeing what she had done to our dog. now finally months later she is looking like a normal dog again, except her ears are still pretty funky… DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT take your dog to Jackie“s Clip Joint if you at all care about what your dog looks like when you get it back. I also am still concerned about how filthy her environment is. seems like a health inspector should see it or something.
