Kathryn King was our real estate agent for buying a house in Portland (April 2015). This market is extremely competitive for buyers. It took us 7 offers and 8 months to finally close. Kathryn was consistently supportive throughout the process. She is also one of the more knowledgeable and experienced agents which is key! We highly recommend Kathryn and will use her again if we decide to buy/​sell in the Portland area again.

I recently completed the application process with KJK’s Property Management and I can’t say much of anything positive about the experience. It was high pressure, unprofessional and filled with inaccuracies about costs, move in requirements and photos that weren’t even the unit that was available. They fought with me to start renting the unit two weeks before I would have been able to move, saying my move in availability «wasn’t their problem.» When I finally contacted the company to talk to the supervisor about my concerns, he told me I was clearly misunderstanding everything and that I was the problem. He simply transferred me right back to the woman who I was concerned about in the first place. She informed me I could «take the unit or go away.» My inquiries with a couple of their currents tenants revealed they were even worse once you signed the lease paperwork.
The people I dealt with in this company were rude, unprofessional and completely disrespectful. Despite being approved for the unit and having the initial deposit, I removed my interest and gladly put this company in my rearview mirror. I’m completely grateful I did. They are bad news and I would advise anyone considering them to take your business elsewhere.

If I could give 10 stars I would. We just bought our first house and I feel so lucky Kathryn was our real estate agent. She was with us every step of the way. Incredibly organized, knowledgable and dedicated. We knew she would be honest with us and we completely trusted her judgement. Kathryn was pregnant at the time and was still calling and texting us as she went into labor to make sure we had our keys! I would recommended KJK Properties to anyone who wants a personable agent who truly loves her job.
