Looking for a biker/dive bar in lower SE that makes really stiff drinks? Welp, don’t go to Knuckleheads. They aren’t there anymore. I waited so long to write this review that is has closed it’s doors since I celebrated my last birthday. My African/American friend joked that entering a «Biker Bar» was a «Bucket List» item for him, but everyone was so nice and welcoming, he didn’t get the rough-housing/rebel rousing he expected. In fact, we had such a great time we all talked about coming back in the summer on motorcycles… only we waited too long. Being an indecisive bunch, we all had the bartender make us her special, which was something mixed with grape vodka. Cheap and strong, just like we like ‘em! They had a great house band playing; almost good enough to give me the courage to shake my tail-feathers on the dance floor. The crowd was a lot of fun(picture a bunch of old bikers, sitting around shooting the breeze in drunkenese), but I was still too chicken/sober to dance in public(think Elaine from Seinfeld). We had just come from dinner so I can’t critique the food… but they had a cool covered patio for smoking and playing pool(neither of which are up my alley — but would be for some). They also have a huge fenced lot for summer biker gatherings. Hopefully the next owners can take advantage of that and do the same. I hear the family may re-open elsewhere, so if you are a biker(Harley’s preferred) or a walker(no one likes a drunk driver), hopefully the new bar is still located in lower SE.

this was the fourth stop in a barfly bus tour. Tiny place I thought… looks like it’s kind of a biker bar atomosphere but enjoyed the small time I was there. Would not go again unless they had music I wanted to see. While it fit my dive bar type theme, this place wasn’t working for me. Can’t complain too much though.

got dragged into this place by friends. The place seemed to be filled with middle aged people trying to reclaim their wild days. Horrible band. Dirty. Street peddlers come in with over sized stuffed animals and flowers to sell. With enough booze this place is palatable, which might be their idea.

Fun atmosphere. Fun I say. Live music. I think the drinks were reasonably priced. The bar tenders were a bit slow but the place was packed and I guess when tending bar you gotta do a little idle chat and flirting for those tips. I really want to go back soon when there is no special event going on and try a little bar food and drink some more with real bikers

Went back on Friday night… they weren’t making food except for fries. Live music without pretense. Blues festival happening all weekend. Have to say, Knuckleheads has a good thing going on on Foster!
