I appreciated the selection here, you usually don’t find that a beer food carts. They even have a large selection of cider and mead. The dining area is very inviting and eclectic. The server was friendly and helpful, he has a genuinely nice personality. I would definitely recommend getting a drink here.

Shhhhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone, but this joint has some of the cheapest craft beer taps in town. $ 2.50 got me a pint of chocolate porter that actually tasted like chocolate – but not irritatingly sweet by any means. i was also able to get a flight of craft meads – honey wine – for those who don’t know. I bought a few more shots of my favorites and got an extra one on the house, since one of their kegs was tapped on a beer I ordered. The proprietor is laid back, and really aims to please. The Pod Bar is basically a three-season porch built around a tiny trailer. One of my favorite – and cheapest – happy hour spots, especially on rainy days. It’s our little secret.

I love pod bar for their every changing beer and cider assortment, friendly owners, and great prices. The brats are pretty good too, but at $ 9⁄12 per growler for beer/cider, you can’t really beat it. Not to mention that there’s a variety of other awesome carts around here. Come down and bring your growler!

It’s okay. Beer prices are good. Cider selection is on point. The hot dogs did will me up. And it’s made with local bakery bread which is awesome. They need to get square or something for debit and credit cards. I hate paying cash for anything and never carry it on me forcing ATM fees. Minus a star for that but you could make the argument I should have came with cash.

A very nice spot to come in with your cart food and sit for a while. The regular rotating taps are consistently high quality, and the growler fills are very reasonable at $ 9.

Delicious spin on hotdogs. They do all their sausages on Vietnamese style French bread from An Xuyen. They could use a wider variety of toppings but for $ 4 sandwiches, I’m not complaining. I’ll definitely be back to eat here.

I LOVE Pod Bar. Steve is a great guy and makes you feel welcome right away. The ambiance is awesome and much-needed in the winter. It’s a brightly painted glass-enclosed edifice so you get a greenhouse effect that makes a 30-degree day feel like a nice spring day. Word has it they are going to roll out a breakfast offering soon in addition to the dogs. Perfect place to kick back with a pint of cider /brew and enjoy a little downtime.

DUH! Thirsty Thursday! Though I live off Foster, I dont come here often enough and everytime I come, Im like why am I not here all the time. The guy who serves you is pretty nice. The Pod has the drinking area sectioned off so you can relax while you are drinking. It has a small all enclosed area when it is cold, and there is a covered patio when it is raining, and open seating just to enjoy the sun. It is not a HUGE space, but just big enough to have a good drink and eat from the surrounding Food Carts… If not you can try one of his awesome hot dogs! YUMMM! Check this place out.

I could not be more grateful that a friend invited me to Pod Bar for Thirsty Thursday. I had never been and really didn’t even know it was there. You’re going to watch the game where? At the food carts on Foster? Whilst drinking beer for $ 2.50? I’m sorry, such a place exists? Indeed. Indeed it does. The bar has a nice selection on tap including a couple of ciders! This is excellent news for me as I am now exploring the cider realm in addition to meeting my usual IPA needs. Two thumbs up for Larry who poured my beverages and even got a little creative mixing a stout with a cherry cider! Did somebody say snake bite? I learned that this is an excellent place to go for a growler fill — I think it’s $ 9.00 for the growler and maybe $ 5.00(??) for it’s cute younger sibling, the grumbler. I could be getting my prices mixed up as it’s slightly more expensive if you’re filling with cider. Either way, it’s still a great deal! This will become a new Thursday hot-spot for me. You can’t beat the prices for the selection and really, I want to see what Larry will concoct the next time around!

Good selection of regional beer, cozy heaters, there’s TV for when the game’s on, decent food selection(add Angry Unicorn’s amazing burgers and you’re set)…what more do you need? There’s specials on Thirsty Thursdays and minors are allowed until 7. We’re very pleased with this place.

Stopped in last night for a gynormous andouille dog on an An Xuyen bun. My tastebuds were dancing with joy! Listening to the pouring rain on the roof was delightful while I sipped a delicious stout beer… I’ll definately be back!

Portlanders, you are difficult to please sometimes. Ok, you wanted food carts all stuck together in one area: done. With covered seating to stay dry: done. Oh, now you want alcohol at the food cart pods? Done. In a whole separate brick and mortar building on site? Done. Dear gawd, what more do you want? This sweet little enclave at Carts on Foster rules. I didn’t realize how great this spot was until I randomly stopped in for a Cider Tasting a few weeks ago. How fun! I’d seen it on Facebook, and headed up there in pouring rain to check it out, armed with umbrella, hat, gloves, the whole winter get up. But I didn’t need any of that, since the tasting was inside the neat bar that I didn’t even know existed! Live music, fun crew, excellent ciders to taste(at great prices, by the way), I could have stayed dry, drunk, and happy in that little room all day. But I settled for an hour, met some nice folks seeking refuge in the rain like I was, and had a great time. Now, it’s not a full bar by any means, but if you’re picking up some cart food and want to grab a growler to go home with or a pint to stay, you are in luck. Keep an eye on their(Carts on Foster) FB for all kinds of other fun, free events there.

Wish it were better. Random commercial radio station hurts the ambiance badly in my opinion. Random décor. $ 8 growlers but apparently that’s changing(the bartender said it’s going up). With a little work by someone who has a sense of style and design, this could be a really sweet place. As it is, I’d only recommend it for picking up to-go growlers.
