I dig this neighborhood dive bar. It’s not super dive bar style but just the right amount. Random crowds, darts, pool table, pin ball machines and an awesome fire pit on the patio.

This place really surprised me. Based upon the location and the name, I was expecting something divey-er and basic but the drink menu is great, the bartenders are friendly, the food is tasty and the ambiance is inviting. I’m glad it’s the closest bar to my house and I will of course be back.

This is a perfect no-frills place to watch a game, play pool, have a great cocktail(especially if Holly is bartending) and have some above average food(but ask for salad dressing on the side if you get a salad). Nice back deck too if it’s warm.

This is a sad day. I lost one of my favorite breakfast bars. Today I had one of the worst plates of food I have ever been given. The hash browns were soggy, the English muffin was not toasted but the poached egg was nice and hard. The pancake that we ordered was not fully cooked. What a shame. I used to bring people here for a classic American breakfast but that will not be happening again. Apparently the management has decided to get rid of their good cook and retained their horrible cook. Also, they will stop serving breakfast from now on. Opening at 11 on weekends. This is in my neighborhood so I am disappointed that the management seems to be so out of touch. They have lost this customer.

Really great neighborhood bar, wish I lived next door. Funny, friendly bartenders, good food, cheap, innovative drinks, live music. This place checks all the boxes for me.

I love this place! Very divy and that’s a good thing. Staff have all been fun and humorous. Good pours, good food, back patio for smokers or just people wanting to hang outside. Love it. They also have video poker and a pool table, for those that dont’ want to just sit and drink. :)

Fun place, good mozz sticks, the BBQ Chicken salad comes with iceberg & romain I asked for all romain. It also comes with huge onion rings that was a surprise. the salad was very tasty and so was the Mac & Cheese. Great menu, strong not stiff drinks. friendly wait staff. The darkest iced tea I’ve ever seen.

I love my dive bars. I love them very much. That being said I went to the Lodge having no idea what I was walking into. Having been there a couple times. I have good thoughts about them. The patio outside looks like a blast and they have the game of cornhole out there. Play, eat, drink, smoke and stay comfy. I have some of the specialty drinks and they are not only strong but have a great taste. For food I had the Nachos and they are a treat with the pulled pork. I felt they really know there business. I enjoyed the tunes on the jukebox which is a cross between 80’s alternative and classic rock are pretty good. The staff has been more than amazing on each visit and even remembered us from previous business

Things just keep getting better. Corn hole boards are set up on the covered patio and Rhonda keeps coming up with the best soups and food specials in the hood. Steele tipped dart boards are now in place and calibrated properly. The bands are always great and the neighborhood people have really embraced this place. Did I mention the breakfast here is really solid? If you miss the old Twilight Café breakfast menu, you can find it here.

If you get a boner over Betty White and Amelia Earhart, this place is heaven. The Lodge is a dive bar meets Elks lodge type feel. Very nice and clean on the inside. The atmosphere is dark and quiet. The bartenders are very friendly and very fast. You dont need to flag them down and they dont give you that Portland hipster attitude. Very gracious hosts. They have great music selection and live bands on the weekends. The drinks are very cheap here, and the cocktails are mixed very well. They have really cool specials everyday, and you cant beat the 8 different tall boys they have in stock. The food portions are very big and is served quickly. Like I said, the clientel here is a bit older. Not crotchety old farts either. Patrons tend to run a bit aged, but are very friendly, funny, and outgoing. The younger crowd is also very friendly and respectable. You dont catch a lot of the riff raff and drunks you get off of 82nd. Overall, this place is great. Just about everything you could want out of a quiet little corner bar. Give this place a shot, you wont regret it!

This is a solid little neighborhood bar. The husband and I both had burgers which weren’t great according to Portland standards, but would for sure do the trick after a night of drinking. I am excited to see the patio in action come summer.

Nice covered back patio with heaters, good drinks, great service and some fun live music on a Friday night. This is a nice comfortable local neighborhood-ie bar. I look forward to going back and trying the food.

This bar has changed owners in the last month. When it was gators it was awful and filled with a bad crowd… since it changed owners I figured I woul walk 3 blocks from my house and give it another chance. NOW, finally a place in my neighborhood I can take my friends. Very quaint bar with a great owner who I met. They have really cleaned up the inside and it looks good now exhalation point the food looks fantastic and I had the mac & cheese which was great. Give this bar a shot. DB

This is the old Gator’s pub… but a cleaned up version. Went in just a few days after it opened and Mark was awesome behind the bar! We had just come from brunch or I would have been all over the crab omelet on the breakfast menu. It seems the bar is affiliated in a round-about way with the Candlelight Café that closed earlier this year so it was a bit like old home week seeing the specials and menu board written in the same hand that I was used to seeing at that location. It also appears that several of the employees have also ended up here as well. Prices are reasonable, drinks are stiff, the waitstaff friendly, and it still had a bit of that ‘new bar smell’ going on. Looking forward to going back again for some live music(though my expectations aren’t high for dancing since the place is just slightly larger than a postage stamp). I deducted one star for the parking situation. There is a tiny parking lot behind the joint that I understand fills quickly. Because the bar is located in a neighborhood, on-street parking seems to be at a premium. And please remember to respect the neighbors as you walk to and from your vehicle.
