I have been to Koi Fusion in Bridgeport multiple times before this, each time having their spin on the Philly cheese steak and loving it each time. Had a craving for that same thing so I came to the location on 2nd. Unfortunately this location did not have the philly cheese steak BUT it did not disappoint whatsoever. I ended up ordering the steak burrito with the spicy sauce and no kimchi. Unlike many of the overstuffed, overly heavy bean and cheese filled burritos, this burrito was just what I wanted. The steak have great depth in flavor with just enough sweet spice and savory for me. Instead of beans and cheese with rice I got a really nice, light mix of vegetables. The rice was also just a really nice, not overly flavored addition to the mix. All in all, exactly what I needed and want from a burrito. I’ll be back soon!

All I can really muster up for the burrito I got the other day is a shrug, in spite of the 5 star service I got from the lovely employees at this location. Having lived for a while in the land of burritos I have pretty high expectations. Yes, I got it without cheese, so that saltiness may have balanced it better, but all in all the chicken was just too sweet and a little dry, and the kimchi didn’t even out the score. Meh.

For a food truck Koi fusion is really great. My past experience with any fusion type genres of food has been. pretty awful. So I was a little skeptical. But some locals recommended this place which is a good sign I suppose. I got a a quesedilla with kimchi and bulgogi. The portions were humongous! My lunch was the size of two meals. All for $ 7 which is awesome. But more importantly, it was delicious. The kimchi was slightly sweetened which I really liked. And they used jack cheese to hold everything together which goes surprisingly well with bulgogi. I definitely recommend a meal at Koi fusion if you are touristing in Portland

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is lack of customer service. Would it kill you you to smile? I tipped a dollar but wished i didn’t right after, not because i can’t afford a dollar, but a tip is for service & I’ve been in the industry for 25 years(Which is probably why i tip when i shouldn’t. .lol) But as far as the food goes… It Was Amazing! As soon as I finished my bulgoogi burrito, I was wishing I could have another one for dinner! It was a great blend(hence the term fusion… lol) of the sweet meat & fresh crunchy ingredients wrapped it a flour tortilla. I got spicy which wasn’t spicy at all but it was delicious! I also got a side of kim chee, but for a dollar it wasn’t worth it for the size & flavor. I’ll skip it the next time. But be prepared, it is Hot as Hell up in there! I couldn’t see how people were sitting inside eating & after walking 6 blocks to get there in the heat, it was toasty. But worth the walk, heat & lack of service!!! Give it a try!!!

Hey not to shabby. I’ve seen the food truck drive around town before and I was thinking, man if that logo they have is that cool looking and that truck looks really good, that food must be somewhat decent right? So I met the wifey downtown and she wanted to try the Indian food that was in the Food Court. I decided to finally try this out and ordered a chicken Koi burrito. I stood in line for about 5 minutes and ordered my food. After I ordered the chicken Koi Burrito I waited along with others while they slowly made the food. Waited, and waited for about 10 minutes. I was really hungry my friends, and the stomach was starting to eat itself. I finally got my food after what felt like hours. I met my wife upstairs and I started to eat it. Oh my… it was GOOOOOD! The sweet chicken with the spicy kim chi rice and more kim chi with cabbage and other stuff made it for me. It was light and satisfying at the same time. The chicken was cooked well and the kim chi rice wasn’t overpowering with a lot of kim chi. I can’t wait to go back and wait another 10 minutes in line for my burrito. It’s worth the wait but it also a torture at the same time.

CHEAPEATS… DOWNTOWNPARTTWO While I’m waiting for my Gandhi lunch(no pun intended), My Yu-go chauffeur is ordering his three Korean seasoned tacos of beef, chicken and pork from the food station across from where I was standing. Between these two meals… these Korean tacos overpowered my $ 8.25 Indian meal. If these guys were in Las Vegas, Unilocal’s acclaimed top ten Komex would find itself in a deep kimchi pit(again, no pun intended). BTW: both the pork and beef were our favorites.

Their hot dog was alllll wrong. First of all, for the size and quality it should have been $ 5 – 6 max. The bacon was so measly you could hardly see it, let alone taste it. The dog itself had the taste and texture of a $ 0.99/8-pack from winco and left a good inch on both sides of the bun empty. The kalbi short ribs on top looked exactly like the bulgogi on my friend’s cheesesteak. There was absolutely nothing good about this dog at all. If it hadn’t been $ 8 I would have thrown it out! Not to mention the 35-minute wait after he’d told us it would be 15 minutes. My friend’s cheesesteak was meh. Also probably worth about $ 5. Really don’t know what everybody’s raving about.

The KOi-osk is dangerously yet conveniently located a mere 3 blocks from the office, so when I discovered how much I love their tofu tacos, I started showing up for lunch at least once a week(& sometimes twice). Over the weekend I find myself dreaming of those delicious and economical kimchi-laced flavor bombs. As an added bonus, the guys behind the counter are super friendly and work hard to get the orders out fast. (Stands up) My name is Chani and I am a KOi Fusion addict…

I can’t comment on the tacos/burritos, as all the meat contains gluten. However, the tamales weren’t too bad, the red salsa had a nice kick, and the side of kimchi had some decent flavor. Decent and quick for lunch.

Food here is amazing! This place is so hard to find! In fact, I did not even find this place during my first trip to Portland. I read/heard amazing reviews and many online/friends recommendations about this place. I thought it is supposed to be a food«truck» so the first time I walked around the block for like 10 times and couldn’t spot any food trucks. I gave up and ate elsewhere. The second time I visited Portland, I was determined to find this spot. What do I know! I practically walked by this place like 10 times the last time and it is just right there! I remember looking into this restaurant area when I first visited Portland. However, there was no obvious sign so I didn’t walk in. When I Unilocaled KOI, several KOI food trucks show up in the search result. That is why I got pretty confused. The place is tiny. You WILL miss this spot if you walk by here. It does not have any obvious signs outside indicating this is KOI Fusion. I only found out about this place and verified it by the street/door number. My friend and I ordered some tacos and a rice dish. They were SO good! After my first bite, I know I will miss it after returning back to Seattle. And it is so true! I have been thinking about KOI every single day upon returning. The fusion of Korean and Mexican cuisines just mix pretty well to me and has a unique taste and flavor. I didn’t expect to like it before trying but I absolutely changed my mind after eating here! They take your orders on an iPad. The line can be long during lunch hour but they process your payment quickly. Only one lady was working when I visited there. The cashier guy helped her out whenever he got the chance to. Not too many tables around to sit down. It is because they also share restaurant space with other vendors. Price is reasonable. I will return when I am back in the area again.

We went to the food truck in front of the Jeld-Wen Field before a game and boy was it good! I’ve never had this type of food before, but I’m glad my friends brought me here. I had the spicy tofu burrito, and it was reasonably priced and portioned. It was so interesting to have the cabbage, tofu and kimchi all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Delicious! The spiciness was a little on the mild side, but all around, this meal hit the spot.

I love this place. I eat here for lunch almost once a week. I started with the beef tacos($ 2), but I’ve since moved up to the beef burrito($ 7). The burrito is more than enough for a meal, and it usually leaves me pretty full. I’ve tried the tofu and pork, but the beef is still my favorite. I also like this location. It’s definitely not the nicest looking place, but I like being able to choose from Indian, Mexican, sandwiches, or Korean Fusion. Sometimes I’ll go thinking I’ll get one thing, but change my mind. It’s a lot like the food cart pods in that respect, but at least here you can wait for your food in a warm, dry place!

Some things just go good together. Peanut butter and Jelly, milk and cookies, mashed potatoes and gravy, cold pizza and chocolate milk(DON’T JUDGEME! It’s freakin’ delicious!), French fries and frosties, Mexican and Korean food… Wait, Mexican and Korean food? Well… I guess so. I don’t have anything bad to say about KOi Fusion. It’s just weird to have Korean flavors wrapped up into a burrito, or over loaded with cheese in a quesadilla. The best thing about KOi Fusion is the convenient downtown location, fast service, and friendly vibe. If you need a decent lunch in a hurry, hit up KOi Fusion.

Some things should just not be fused together. I ordered the spicy tofu kimchi rice bowl, add red and green sauce. It had their homemade kimchi on top.. I adore kimchi so I get that flavor but this whole meal just tasted like vinegar mixed with a little bit of heat. There’s supposed to be ginger and garlic flavors. Not so much. It just left a sour taste in my mouth.

I’ve been to Koi three times; one time in Seattle for a mobile food cart festival, one time near Jeld Wen field, and this time at the permanent location downtown. And after every meal, I am left feeling a little underwhelmed. The«beef» burrito(which includes short rib and bulgogi mixed) was pretty«small» for $ 7-filling enough for lunch but small compared to taco truck standards! There is an option of hot, medium, and mild and I opted for hot but I really couldn’t taste any sort of heat, which was disappointing. The service was nice and I love the little food court that Koi is housed in. I love the concept of Koi but after 3 tries, I still can’t say that I love the food!

I finally got the K-ritto. I’ve been wanting to try the mofo every time I went to the cart but somehow always ended up with bulgogi tacos. Well, no more! My resolve was secure and I got it. It’s like the taco, but a burrito. I guess I should have seen that one coming. Anyway it’s super good. The k-bros(c’mon, they’re SO bros) were friendly and quick. I only had time to commiserate about dealing with a certain building on NW13th& Lovejoy because their credit machine was being wacky. It’s in the two story former McDonald’s that Ghandi’s and Phở PDX is in, so there’s a ton of seating upstairs, or a nearby door if you need to split back to work to assault your coworkers with good food smells they’re not getting any of.

I don’t know that their meat is seasoned in, but I literally salivate whenever I get an email at work telling us that Koi Fusion will be by. Had a burrito for the first time today and it was DELICIOUS!!! There was a certain sweetness to the burrito that I can’t put my finger on, but I devoured it in about 5 mins.

YUM! But why does EVERYTHING have to get so darn expensive yet shrinking in size!!! (rhetorical questions so please don’t try to explain the economic downturn, freakonomics, or China’s economic goal to conquer the world)
