Very nice, cozy café; excellent homemade soups and pasties; food is all prepared from scratch –including their own bread; nice art; friendly staff; chill atmosphere; nice view of the street; outdoor seating.

This is my favorite coffee shop, hands down. The people there make the start to my day more enjoyable and the rotating coffees are always delicious! Thanks for always being great Manny’s Café crew!

A fairly new business, I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. I had a cappuccino and a homemade bialy(better than a bagel — try it sometime!) with cream cheese. The were both out of this world! Excellent coffee, fresh homemade pastries and friendly staff. I take mine to go, but there are tables to enjoy your coffee at your leisure.

Manny’s is a very cute, and very small, intimate café. While out exploring Portland [I was actually looking for«Contrary Coffee» which I guess is now renovated and converted to Manny’s] I stopped by to grab a coffee, and get a little bit of Anatomy studying in. I got a soy latte, and decided after a while that I needed to try one of their house made Bialys. [A bialy is pretty much a version of a bagel that’s… only baked and not boiled before hand?] Regardless, it was delicious(and slightly pricey) with their in-house made Veggie Cream Cheese. The nice thing about this café being as small as it is, is that I assume it’d stay fairly quiet for studying — the seating is also very sparse. There are enough outlets though! — a necessity for studying, really. I didn’t ask if they had Wi-Fi though… an even bigger necessity While I was sitting there, I noticed that there was a fairly steady stream of people coming in to grab coffee, sit for a little and then head on their way. Come in early for prime, easy seating!
