My office loved the popcorn from Masala Pop. We devoured the chai caramel corn and can’t wait to bring my bucket back for refills.

I had read about Masala Pop a long time back and always wanted to give it a try. For a party I was throwing, this popcorn seemed to be a good idea for party favors. So, we stopped by their store and met the owner Neha. It is not a conventional store– just their kitchen I guess. But Neha quickly got samples of all their flavors to try. And I have to say that both my husband and I just loved each and every flavor. And this is despite the fact that we are both no popcorn lovers. We probably buy popcorn once a year. Every sample was just perfectly flavored for its name. We decided to go ahead with the idea of using their popcorn for party favors. I mostly communicated with Neha through e-mail and phone and she was very very helpful– almost going out of her way to offer help. She suggested various options: do-it-yourself options where I could get big packets of popcorn from them and make individual packets myself(more economical) and options where they would make individual servings for you. Either way, it was very cost-effective. Order was ready on time. There were simply no issues. The service was stellar! And the product topped even the stellar service!!! Our guests loved the popcorn. Highly highly recommend this place.

prior to my visit to portland, i read somewhere about these delicious snacks. i’m a HUGE popcorn fan… i mean, mostly just the air popped, lightly flavored ones.(not that movie theater butter or microwave crap). once in awhile when i come across a unique flavored ones(like ones you find at trader joes), i absolutely must try it. so on our day of biking around the city, i told the hubby we had to make a stop here. the store is mostly just the factory with a small counter in the front of the store where you can make your purchases. we were assisted by a very nice lady(forgot her name) but she let us sample all the different flavors of popcorn they offer. everything was so good! but since we were traveling, i didnt want to lug around too much so i just bought two prepackaged ones to go at $ 5/per bag(the coconut curry and chai masala). needless to say, they were both gone before we left portland.

This stuff is incredible(and addictive)! I picked up a bag of the Chai Masala at Food Fight Grocery and, just a few days later, it’s already almost gone. It’s sweet and perfectly spiced. I really love the crunchy, extra caramel-y pieces. I’ll definitely be trying the other vegan flavors ASAP.

I love the popcorn at Masala Pop! When I open a bag for a snack I keep wanting to go back for more. I appreciate that they have savory and sweet flavors. The pop shop also offers new flavors that you sometimes won’t find in other stores carrying Masala Pop. :-) Also look into the refillable tins. You can choose up to 3 different flavors to fill the tin and they have a deal if you come back for a refilll. This is the way to go if you plan to share with friends. :-)
