Cute place. Good coffee/tea drinks(I had the house blend drip and my boyfriend had an iced chai). Pastries were meh. Would’ve been better if they’d warmed them up maybe. The macaroons were very very sweet but tasty. Could only have 1 bite of each(Nutella and pistachio). Overall not a bad experience, would maybe come earlier in the day when the pastries are fresher.

Wonderfully cozy atmosphere with friendly service and top-notch coffee(tons of variety, with a huge amount of flavored lattes and drinks, many of which are seasonal). Perfect for a relaxing, adorable coffee break… sit here for an hour or two and recharge.

My friends and I came to Mornings in Paris from the cold, blustery Portland weather. Typical New England, no complaints, really. The interior is a little busy, there’s things to look at wherever you are in the café(in terms of décor), but it’s sweet. The café had a great selection of drinks. It had HUGE chalkboards of regularly offered items as well as three chalk boards full of seasonal lattes/coffees/teas beneath. By the bar there were selections of delicious-looking bakery treats. I got a caramel apple brown sugar spiced latte, E got earl grey tea and A ordered pumpkin spice macchiato. I tasted the seasonal drinks and both were absolutely delicious(earl grey tasted like earl grey– E assured me!). Total treats to beat the cold weather! My H and I are often found sitting at Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts… but places like Mornings in Paris and other small businesses make me WANT to venture out and support! Definite eye opener!

Mornings in Paris is beyond adorable! This is probably the closest to Paris I’ll be getting anytime soon… Although it’s on a well traveled street, I must have passed by a dozen times without ever noticing this café quietly tucked between whatever happens to be on the left and right… clearly I’m too distracted to recall store locations. :/ I popped in one spring afternoon with a friend who insisted that Old Port is full of unique history and architectural treasures. This was a great spot for a casual chat or a cute date! I think I tried the red velvet latte… they have quite an interesting menu! The macaroons were also a tasty treat. I’d definitely come back rain or shine. :)

I just enjoyed the best macaroon in a long time along with a delicious chai tea. Friendly service, God options of sweet bites to have with a broad selection of hot drinks. The macaroons look amazing, are big(at least twice as big as what I’m used to seeing) and the one I had tasted delicious. Even for chai tea they had two options and I saw several season specials. Love it and highly recommend the detour off the main tourist strip.

This fun, Parisian-themed café in Old Port has a large selection of loose teas, coffee drinks, frappes, and fancy pastries. I purchased loose tea(organic chamomile) and two macaroons(salted caramel and lavender honey). $ 11. Each was very good. When I mentioned my wife and I were vacationing from out of town, the barista gave me a stack of complimentary tea pouches for steeping. She was polite and friendly. The best tables are towards the front of the shop and fill up first. It looks like a fun place to spend a couple of hours reading or catching up with friends. Metered street parking a block away.

We found this cute little coffee shop while walking around Portland. We had been camping near by Portland and needed some bean to wake us up for a full day of seeing the sights and shopping. We got a soy latte and it was SOOOOO good! Just what I needed! The place is very cute! The people working were polite and very helpful when we asked for advice on good seafood places. Loved it!

Wow, walking into this little café really transported me back to Paris. The cappuccino was delicious, smooth and not too bitter. The service was friendly, and quick. The macaroons were the best I’ve ever had, floral and fragrant without being overbearing. I ordered the lavender honey and rose. They were each a unique experience that is gladly take up again.

I enjoyed the items I ordered. The nutella latte was delicious and perfect. As was the ham and cheese croissant. Light, buttery and flakey. The place is small and completely packed when I came on a rainy Saturday mid-afternoon. I’d come back for the drinks as the red velvet late really peaks my interest as well as other tasty sounding beverages. The only thing I was disappointed about are the macarons. I didn’t order any because they were so disappointing to look at. They were cracked, bumpy. and unpleasing to look at. I don’t know if they bake them on site or what– but they need to improve on the quality of them before I’ll ever think about paying for them. If they’re going to charge $ 2+ for a tiny little 2 bite cookie it better be perfect. I can’t seem to find a decent macaroon around New England. I’ll have to keep looking.

Very good coffee — we enjoyed our café au lait and our mocha latte. A one-dollar day-old plain croissant was still tasty, and the fresher almond croissant was SOOOGOOD. Nice place to sit and sip and nosh. I’d go back.

LOVELOVELOVE. I’ve managed to stop here both times I have been in Portland and it makes me smile every time. It’s just a cute little café with Parisienne décor, a great assortment of tea/hot cider/cocoa/coffee and yummy treats galore! They have an extensive variety of loose tea, which is a true delight for a tea enthusiast as it creates a more flavorful cup of tea. It’s one of the few places I have been that you can purchase authentic French Macrons(including a Nutella flavored one!). Perfect place to hit up before you head out of town for a warm drink and tasty treat for the ride home.

This kitschy little café has the atmosphere of Paris perfectly pinned! I confess, we found Mornings in Paris via an advertisement on the tele at the hotel we were staying at in South Portland. The ad was inspiring and thus we found ourselves heading there for our daily caffeine fix with a tasty pastry on to accompany it. The interior and atmosphere had me thinking of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris; I half expected to run into some left bank ex-pat writers while I waited for my drink. A nice morning surprise if I do say so myself; indulging not only my need for caffeine but for daydreaming as well. I had a triple mocha latte with whip and it was very well done and nicely balanced. The cup was roomy and the whip was just decadent! For a nibble I had the almond croissant which was buttery, flaky, and had a nice flavor. I enjoyed the coffee and atmosphere and the pastry was a nice compliment; for the road I picked out 6 or 7 macarons and those did not disappoint either. We had such a lovely experience the first morning that we returned for a repeat the next morning with a good friend from the area in tow. Just as cozy and inviting the second morning :) In general; a large selection of coffee drinks to satisfy many tastes and a wide array of combinations in which to enjoy it. If coffee isn’t your thing, they do have a nice selection of loose-leaf teas and a cooler with juices, etc. The pastry case has just that– pastries and desserts. There is also quiche for those looking to satisfy a savory tooth instead of a sweet one. This was a lovely find and we will surely be returning on future trips and look forward to seeing how the drink menu changes with the weather!

I had a chai tea and a lavender macaroon to go. I couldn’t wait to try the macaroon, so I opened the bag and ate it as I walked up Exchange St. I seriously wanted to scream and twirl and urge complete strangers to go en masse and try this mini piece of heaven. I will be back to visit my little lavender macs.

Les meilleurs croissants en ville. Tenu par une française très sympathique. Le café y est excellent aussi.

Although my Hazelnut Latte was cold, being greeted by a warm, cheery, smiling face when you’re suffering with jet-lag is absolutely a small price to pay. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try the pastries which looked oh so good. This is such a cute, little store.

We’ve had some great French restaurants depart the area over the years, leaving something of a vacuum in the vin and paté world. I would love to say that Mornings in Paris fills it, but it really is just pretty serviceable. The hostess and the wait staff were very good, but the kitchen is a little lackluster. A few good sides, but my main course was tough and not so wonderful, certainly not worthy of the premium price charged. It’s not the worst French restaurant I’ve been to, but, much like Franco-film icon Jerry Lewis, it’s culinary genius remains something of a mystery to me.

A coworker recommended Mornings in Paris. As I walked in Old Port, the place looked like a great place to have a beverage and have a pastry while doing some work. I expected great things! When I walked in, there was a lot of selections — from tea to coffee to pastries to desserts. I was overwhelmed! In a good way, of course. The blonde haired lady behind the counter was super nice and accommodating. I ordered the Nutella latte. There was no Nutella. I went up to the counter and talked to the blonde haired lady(I am assuming the owner), and she told me that she will take care of it. I sat down, and moments later, I was given my original latte with a little Nutella added to it. I expected to get a fresh latte, which didn’t happen. I didn’t even bother to complain because I would just get my latte recycled again. I am very disappointed in the service here. I would not recommend this place to anyone who would want quality beverages.

From the street, Mornings in Paris looks exactly like those sweet little cafes one sees whilst strolling the Parisian rues. A striped awning, small yet inviting tables and chairs, and the rich aroma of fresh-ground coffee. I couldn’t resist. Inside, it’s a whole other story. My French fantasy faded into the reality of this American coffee shop, which was charming in its own right. The menu boasts dozens of tea options, with everything from Earl Grey to Red Rioobos. The coffee menu was crazy, with concoctions including red velvet latte, pumpkin pie latte, Matcha green tea latte, and even a crème brûlée cappuccino. If you’re into flavored coffees, clearly this is where its at. I stuck to tea and as I waited for it to steep, looked out onto Exchange Street through the large store front windows. You can see the awnings from inside, and with the sun pouring in, I at last understood the inspiration for the name. Oui oui, indeed.
