When you want a barber Ivan is your guy. Great cut, great converstation and I’m going back to get my knives sharpened! No frills and that is just the way I like it.

Ivan is «84 years young» as he told me today. I got a simple buzz cut and 45 minutes of what amounted to life advice. He has been cutting hair for 6 decades and it shows.
This place is exactly what I want in a barbershop. No frills, not a salon, just a chair and some mirrors and an experienced barber. If you’re looking for old school, this is it.

I got a haircut here for the first time today and I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else from now on. This is a one man operation run by an older guy named Ivan. He is very passionate about cutting hair and has been doing it for over 60 years. He is also very pleasant to talk to and told me about the history of the neighborhood. Most importantly, it was the best haircut I’ve ever had and it only cost $ 15. My only regret is that I didn’t have enough money in my pocket for a tip.

I have for many years tried to find some one to cut my hair. One of my biggest frustrations is getting my hair cut. When Ivan cuts hair it is like an art. It is something you don’t see very often in life. Some one who does something they are truly passionate about as well as masterful. Now that he knows what I like I make an appointment, come in, sit down and enjoy good conversation with the confidence it will be a perfect cut.

I can’t comment on haircuts, but this man also sharpens kitchen knives and garden tools. $ 8 to sharpen my lawnmower blade and he did an excellent job. Very friendly too!
