Love this place! The selection is great, but most of all the people have always been incredibly helpful, friendly, and generous with their time and desire to help!

Toys appear to be nicely chosen, with a lot of educational /​creative /​active items. Perfect.
If you are looking for stupid toys and action figures, you know where to go!
And! This place… they WRAP STUFF FOR YOU! Super.
Nice variations on the standard brands, from European /​Scandinavian countries. Just mentioning.

For years this store has provided a great source of gifts. When my kids were little, I loved getting them the toys that encouraged their engineering imaginations like the Tinker Toys. When they got a little older, they loved getting the creative activity books like ‘Klutz.’ Now that they are grown they like the social board games like Settler’s of Catan. This store is fun to explore for kids and adults alike!

I love the selection of toys they have with bot some mainstream items as well as noncommercial items. There is a good selection of playmobil, legos, trains, and puzzles. There are a lot of cool random things you just don’t see at the big box stores.

I can’t give this place enough stars. I buy all my kid gifts here. They are awesome! There is ample stuff for kids to do while you shop. Their prices are very good. For many of their items, it’s comparable to Amazon and Toys R Us but they are a local store. My son has caused a ruckus there a number of times and the people at the store are kind and helpful and oh so patient. I love how they beautifully wrap your gift items too. This toy store is top notch.

Thinker Toys is my go-​to store for kids birthday presents. I can always count on their recommendations and I appreciate the free gift wrapping.

Perfect source for clever rare toys that will excite your kids. Outstanding help even during the busy season. Added convenience of paying over the phone and wrapping gifts so that a parent can pick up a surprise package without their kid knowing what it is!
We had such a great experience with them this holiday season. I had been in to entertain my 4 year old son and shop. They have a huge assortment of cleaver toys, European toys and small startup product lines you won’t see in the main branch stores. An example is– they gave me the idea to get a Spooner Board for my son since they had it there in stock in various sizes. I had never heard of it before and thought …‘wow, what a great indoor activity for my active little guy’… Well, holiday came near. I looked into a few things that would make my son happy and before I ordered online I called their store to see if in their wide selection of Bruder trucks they might have the one he wanted. well, they did. Paid over the phone and asked they wrap it since I planned on coming in with my little guy. They were happy to. Then, I remembered the Spooner Board as I was continuing to shop online and again (20 min later) called to see if they had it in the appropriate size and color he would want. They said yes and allowed me to pay over phone again and pick it up wrapped!
I forgot to mention. the prices on the items I bought were the same approximate cost to buy online (not including shipping even!) so they are competitively priced by my experience. That’s sure to motivate me coming back. They didn’t have the New Minecraft Lego sets in stock, but then again — neither did the Lego store, Target or Wally World. They didn’t have the the Bruder individual people for sale either, but I can’t complain — just mentioning it. Love this little store in charming Multnomah Village! Thanks guys, you’re the best.

This store has an abundance of toys for all age range of children a Grandma’s paradise. I was lost in here for hours wanting everything for my granddaughters. I have a special liking for educational toys ones that stimulate their tiny brains.
Not iPads or IPhones. Let’s get back to the basics!

You come here for unique items that are not necessarily plastic, or at least that’s what I’m there for and I’m happy to say they have plenty. I love the wood stuff in particular. They have lots of things that I would have liked myself as a child or when I used to take «trips». It’s a cute little place that beats the hell out of Toys R Us, I actually enjoy spending time here and that’s worth the extra buck to me.

This was a cute little shop to visit. I don’t have any kids, but I always enjoy browsing a good toy store. I have got to say though… it seemed pretty overpriced for certain items. It shocked me, but it wasn’t like I was in there to buy anything in particular anyway. Either way, I enjoyed browsing their selection and the store is very adorable.

Thinker toys is an amazing store. One I wish was around when I was a kid. I live in the neighborhood and I find myself drawn to it! This store is nothing like the aisles of pink I found myself in as a child. It’s for a brighter, new kind of a child. A child who doesn’t let gender depict what toys to buy, where toys are separated by interest not sex. Where science and math are marketed to girls and boys and learning but still imagination and fun are the priorities. The people working I this store are kind and helpful and I always love coming here for gifts. The best part of thinker is that if you bring a kid here you will be happy with whatever they go home with.

Great place to shop for toys for kids. I love that I can pick up a bday present & have it wrapped, or just pick up something under $ 5 While out on a walk with my kid.

For some reason the Unilocal page said they stayed open until 7pm. I came a little after 6 to buy presents for my nieces. The door was locked and the sign on the door said closed at 6. I was heartbroken.
I was leaving town the next day at 5am for the niece’s birthday and I refuse to shop at Toys r us. The gal that was closing up saw my forlorn face and came and unlocked the door.
She let me in, helped me pick out the gifts and even wrapped them for free. I’ve always shopped here, and now I will shout praises from the rooftops.
I even bought myself some glow in the dark putty!

This is my favorite place to shop for gifts for children. They offer free gift wrap which COMES IN SO HANDY when you are on your way to a Birthday Party. Now that I have a 2 year old I visit Thinker Toys much more frequently. The staff is seriously the nicest bunch of people, and they are so knowledgeable when I need help picking out a gift. I simply tell them the age of the child I am shopping for, and a little bit about the child, and they always lead me to about 3 different choices. They have the BEST selection of toys! They even have a «frequent buyer card.» It doesn’t get better than this. If you want to buy a gift for child that is guaranteed to be a big hit, Thinker Toys is where you want to go!!!

A little expensive, but just an all around outstanding place for kids.

I love this neighborhood toy store! When I’m in need of a birthday present or special gift I go in and look for Shannon, describe the child and age, and I always walk away with something unique and perfect. She is so helpful!
They have gifts for every age — even a great selection of adult board games. The mini house/​kitchen area is a great place to let the kids play during check-​out.

Thinker Toys has an awesome selection of toys, and an awful lot of them are eco-​friendly (Plan Toys gets plenty of shelf space). The cheap molded plastic is actually pretty hard to find at this store.
The staff is very friendly, and very knowledgeable. They don’t bat an eyelash when you ask if some obscure line of wooden train track pieces is compatible with Thomas the Tank Engine.
The toys are more expensive than what you’ll find at Mass Market Toy Depot, but that’s because they’re good, solid toys, usually made of wood, by companies that have never had recalls for lead contamination. If you want a cheap toy to give to a kid you don’t care much about, you probably shouldn’t shop here.
(And my favorite part is that my son enjoys running up and down the ramp so much that he doesn’t even pay attention to the fact that he’s in a toy store…)

This store has Quality goodies for kids of all sizes, including adults. I was about to purchase a microscope there for my daughter, however the price I felt was a bit steep. I compared price and quality at the local Target and was dumbfounded that the price was the same however the quality was not nearly as sweet as found at Thinker Toys!
I recently went looking for math cards in Fred Myers, what was I thinking? And came out empty, Thinker Toys had many diverse types of cards to choose from. I truly love this store. The owner is Very personable and will go out of her way to assist one in making difficult shopping decisions effortless.
I went to this store during our 2008 snowstorm a few days prior to Christmas. Not having much cash on hand (the ATM went on the Fritz!) …so I ask them for a tiny favor, give me additional money from my checking account. They did this for me!!! I love you guys!
