I just had lunch of cashew chicken. At first it tasted good. Then I noticed how incredibly salty it was. Then it seemed overwhelming by the third bite. I felt sick by the time I got back to work, with serious msg reaction in heart burn. WAYTOOMUCHMSG. STOPUSINGMSG!!! It isn’t necessary for food to tasted good and be healthy.

I like this place because it is consistently what you would expect. The food is not amazing but everything is decent, the price is good and the service is fast. I like to get the lunch to go and they have that ready is 10 mins for me. I wish the menu was online, but otherwise i’m content with this business.

One of my favorite places to go for the best hot and sour soup ever! The staff is also very friendly and the environment is cozy. We would love another one in north Portland!

Friendly service, reasonably priced, not usually crowded. I usually get the phở and salad rolls. Versatile menu with lunch specials. Overall, good quality and nice family-owned business.

Best Chinese food in NE Portland. Fresh, delicious, authentic, and so many choices. I have been there many times and each time I try something new I am convinced it’s my new favorite. Last night I tried the orange chicken which was about as far from the fast food version as Pluto is far from the Sun. Super. We also tried their Vermicelli bowl and both the presentation and taste were complex and lovely.

BF loves Chinese food, and I like it, but can’t eat every week like he can. We recently discovered this place, and have gotten take out about 3 – 4 times over the last few months. Each time food has been really good, and when we’ve asked for one or more items to be spicy, each time it had the perfect amount of heat. We always get General Tso’s Chicken and every time it was delicious. Just the right amount of heat(we like it spicier) and the last time we tried the Thai Fried Rice, and it was really good as well. Service is really friendly and our order is always ready when we go to pick it up. Each time I’ve gone to pick up the food, it always surprises me that they don’t have a lot of customers, but I’m sure it’s just the time when I go. Overall, really good Chinese food, so if you are looking for a new place to try out in the Hollywood area, give this place a try.

R e a l l y delicious phở — they’ll add vegetables for .75 — and vermicelli bowls(I always get the lemongrass shrimp). Plus, I extra-love any place that has hot chili oil and complementary tea.

The pan-fried rice noodles happy family was so gross and unfortunate-tasting, I couldn’t eat it. The noodles weren’t adequately cooked, the shrimp tasted suspect, and the only seasoning was fish sauce and possibly chicken broth. It was scary distasteful. When she brought a box for me to take it home in – her first visit to the table after the food was brought – I explained that I didn’t want to take it home, and didn’t eat it, bc it tasted nasty. She walked away and we waited to see if I would be charged for it. We were! Utterly no customer service and $ 10 thrown away.

Usually when I walk into an empty restaurant I turn around and walk back out. When I went to My Canh there wasn’t a soul inside. I was hungry, so I decided to give it a try. The menu is mostly Vietnamese but there is a Chinese element. The lemongrass pork and noodles was like what you would get at most Vietnamese restaurants but with a big difference, the pork was Chinese BBQ pork. It was unexpected, but it works. The food was actually pretty good… Definitely good enough that the place shouldn’t have been empty.

Tasty phở, but they need to fill the bowl with a lot more meat and noodles. It’s too watery. Phở Oregon serves a much more filling bowl of Ph. They’re the benchmark for Phở in northeast Portland.

Chinese-Vietnamese fusion, so not just Vietnamese food. Great customer service. Average food. Below average tea. Excellent fish sauce.

I decided to try this place out on a whim and I’m glad I did! The staff was so friendly when I walked in. He asked me what I was interested in and when I said phở he suggested the chicken phở and his description sounded amazing. He was right! Best phở I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back soon and I’m excited to try the rest of the menu!

This place has been around forever. It’s tucked into the corner of a tiny strip mall. I’ve never had a bad dish here. The staples: salad rolls and phở are always delicious. Everything is cheap. The décor and restrooms could use a little updating: it looks like they haven’t been updated in 30 years. I’ll keep coming back because this place is usually empty and I can get in and out quick.

A COCKROACH fell out of my tea! Ahh! Never going back! I drank half that tea before the damn bug came pouring into my mug. :-(

Some of my favorite Phở in all of Portland. Super casual laid back server, he’s awesome. I can’t tell you about anything else, I only eat the Phở. It’s pretty close to perfect.

Quick review for My Canh. I was out early from work last Friday and I had the beginnings of a sore throat. Didn’t have any chicken soup around the house(that usually works) so I thought the next best thing would be some Asian soup. Did a Unilocal search and came up with My Canh. I never knew this place was here. I come to Hollywood fairly often, but apparently not down this street. You honestly wouldn’t know it was here if you didn’t know it was here. I thought the service was very friendly and the soup was very very good. I ordered a spicy beef, pork and noodle soup for $ 7.50. Enough for 2 meals. It came with a side dish of bean sprouts, basil, lime, cabbage and hot peppers. There were various types of pork in here, beef, noodles and a spicy broth. It was exactly what I needed on this day. A good random find.

Wonderful service and its family owned. A new family took it over and are in the process of converting menu and improving. I’ll check in again in six months. Currently the menu is too big and they are more concerned about how much their customers can afford to how delicious Vietnamese food can be. I hope they start using more herbs and increase the quality of their items. If they increase their prices, they will still be a low cost choice. My Phở Ga had fried chicken which I did not like. Prefer lean chicken breast and much more mint, basil, cilantro, jalapenos and soybean sprouts.
