There is an OK mix of funny, artistic, local and sentimental cards, so everyone should be able to find what they are looking for. I truthfully ended up here when a different store was closed for lunch. The cashier stood there the whole time and didn’t say a word to us while we browsed(and we were the only ones in the store). It was odd. A hello would have made the environment less awkward for sure. As it is August, I was surprised to see so many graduation cards.(I was looking for a «Bön voyage, you’re going to college» type of card, not graduation.) It made me think that they don’t update their supply too much. The section of baby shower cards that didn’t scream«your mother’s traditional, boring baby shower» were also quite limited. Overall, I’d come back in a pinch but would visit other stores first because the selection here didn’t call to me much. Then again, their target market probably isn’t millennials.

Walking around Portland, I realized that I hadn’t purchased a card for the bride & groom for their wedding happening the next day so I walked into The Paper Patch and bought one. The workers were nice and very friendly but they didn’t have a very good card selection. There weren’t many wedding cards to choose from, and after spotting a few other stationary stores in the immediately area, I had wished that I had waited to make my purchase because the other stores had way better and cuter cards.
