Portland Guitar Lessons

I began studying guitar with Chris about 1 year ago. At the time I was new to playing an instrument. I knew a little about my guitar but really needed direction for my learning. Lucky for me I chose Chris. He understands what I am seeking because he asks me. Although his «curriculum» has long-​term goals, he will readily change his lesson in any week because of a question that I may ask. Chris has a knowledge about a wide variety of artists, and he has managed to expand my musical horizons. One result of my lessons with Chris is a much greater ability to «hear» what my favorite guitarists are actually doing; and that I can actually emulate a lot of what I hear.
Chris is a very supportive teacher. I really look forward to meeting with him each week.

Chris is an awesome teacher! He is so positive and encouraging. I chose him for my guitar teacher after reading his introduction on Unilocal.He truly has a gift for playing AND teaching! He packs each lesson with as much instruction and practice as possible. He provides a folder and has handouts for everything including a weekly practice plan which is so helpful. All in all: very organized, enthusiastic and a natural teacher.
