Yes you will be mesmerized by the many cool looking slabs of stones but the customer service is so bad … Makes you want to runout the door … Low personality low energy rude attitude … A definite turn off but if you don’t care for service just pick up and go. They do have some decent prices and slabs of stones …

Came in for hardwood left with a headache. Watched her try to convince a lady to buy a countertop without measurements, even saying she could maybe give her a better deal if she buys now. When It came time to helping me she picked up the phone and started making calls instead of pointing me to the in stock hardwood. Average supply you can find all over Portland, nothing new here.

Worst decision I ever made coming here. The woman that runs this place only cares about money. I am now almost 3 weeks after the initial installation and my counters are still not done and she refuses to schedule someone to come finish. She tells me they are too busy. Firstly she sold me granite that is very fragile, and chips easily. It took three days for the counters to be installed (supposed to be one). Im currently waiting for them to come back and finish polishing the seam. I call her every day, I’m going to take her to court if they don’t come by the end of this week. She owes me money for the things they didn’t do, I paid for an under counter sink, but because of the brittle granite I had to get an over counter sink, which is cheaper. She refused to pay me back for the labor of the undercounter sink work. She is one of the most difficult people I have ever had to deal with and I am extremely unhappy with this business.

Bait and switch. You will smell it. I saw on Craiglist they were listing very cheap price for cabinets. Since we been shopping for cabinets and learn to be good buyer of this investment cabinet remodeling project but talk to owner Alice whom promise to give 20% off whom ever quote gotten around town we decide to spend our Sunday morning there. I know it can’t bee match as cabinet are not a box of cereal. It was a complete waiste of time. Once we arrive she to up sell you or said this will be 3 months out, but we have this this other junk design for very good price and by the way she may only have half of the cabinets of this style so you have to pick something else to mix– WTF!
They don’t open on Sundays but since we told them we needed 18 cabinets she thought I need cabinet to fit 18 houses. She opened the door for us. I appreciated the I initial attention.
This place is for contractors not everyday joes. WARN you may be lure in and be treated rudely– I was not recipient of this but was on the phone over heard the dramas like this is a street market. This while they were in chaotic business hour.

If you are home owner who has had trouble working with contractors in the past or who has never done a major remodel before this is NOT the place for you. Do not even attempt to buy here this place is for contractors and savvy and experienced DIYer’s.
But if you are astute when it comes to construction and contractors and price is paramount to you, you can do no better then this place. This is basically a wholesale experience little to no customer service and if you opt for the install it is the same. The install crew is the type of crew a general contractor would hire but not the type that is great at dealing with the general public.
Tips
1. True to Asian culture if you want the best price you must barter for it. The more creative the better.
2. You must dot your i’s and cross your t’s don’t leave anything to a verbal agreement.
3. You must be there when the installation is done and you must know enough about counter tops (or cabinet or whatever you bought here) to spot potential issues and address them BEFORE the crew leaves your house. You must also insist without anger or frustration that these issues be fixed (if there are any).
4. When 1 – 3 are followed sit back and laugh at the 1,000’s of dollars you saved.
I know people these days expect the to have it all but when you want cheap you need to be realistic about about the amount of customer service you are paying for. If some of these Unilocalers keep up it up all of the great money saving finds like this place will be put out of business by negative reviews where someone expectations were totally off.

Alice may lack in the customer service but makes it up in the price department. I still admire how hard of a worker she is and appreciate how a woman can make it in the construction industry, even if they have to work harder. I am ‘s a contractor I buy from her all the time.

Buyer Beware! This woman, Alice Lim has no ethics, no morals and no customer service skills. All she wants is your money and then good luck getting any problems resolved. Two years ago we ordered cabinets and granite counter tops for our duplex. She assured us she could get all the cabinets for us including the five that she did not have in stock within four days. We paid cash and on delivery day we were told that the five cabinets were going to arrive in six weeks (it was actually seven weeks). When it came time to install the granite counter tops the workman did not measure correctly and the sink opening was off by two inches. He blamed us!!! We had to go to the warehouse to talk to Alice about this and she screamed at us like we had done something wrong. We had to select another granite as she said the color we wanted was not in stock in the size we needed as was the second, third and fourth choices. So we ended up with a FIFTH choice! When it came time to install the second kitchen’s counter top we went down to the warehouse and tagged a specific piece of granite so there would be no mistake on the piece of granite. While going through the warehouse we discovered that Alice was not out of stock on our first, second and third choices of granite but the pieces were slightly longer and would have cost $ 20 – 40 more. She did not offer us these pieces but lied to us regarding availability. So much for customer satisfaction! Upon installation the piece of granite was switched and had a long flaw running through it!!! This woman has no ethics!!! This was hands down the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a business. Normally, when there is a problem, a company goes out of their way to correct it and make up for the inconvenience. The only thing «QUALITY» about QUALITY HOME BUILDING SUPPLIES is in their name. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else, pay a little more otherwise you will regret ever stepping foot through the door of this business.

This is a sweet find in Portland if you want to install granite countertops. Rates are about 40% less than competitors and they install on-​site. They have a limited selection of colors but enough selection that you will find something you like. They fabricate and install on-​site so it takes longer than it would if fabrication was done elsewhere and then installed but the savings is totally worth it. My parents and I have both had our kitchen countertops done here and would do it again. They also have a good selection of tile and pre-​finished granite bathroom vanity tops!
